Any news on when LIghtroom will be updated for the Nikon D750? There is already an ACR update.

Anxious to use LR with my new camera. Even a "Release Candidate" would be great!

There is never any news. Adobe never announces in advance when new releases are coming out.
So, you will just have to wait like the rest of us.

Never. You'll need to upgrade to Lr 5.7, or convert your D750 files to DNG for Lr 4 to use.
As a site search would amply have indicated.

    Thanks Geoff and Jeff.
On the regular LR updates, will the update be for LR3 also or just for LR4?
    Thx.
I don't immediately recall a time when the previous version of LR was updated after the next version was released.

Contact sales support by web chat. They can cancel your current subscription and transfer you to the new one if you are within certain criteria. Otherwise you may need to wait until your subscription runs out and then sign up later.

  • Tether support for the Nikon D750 in lightroom 5

Will there be tether support for the Nikon D750 in Lightroom 5

You are absolutely correct Lightroom does not have tether support for the new Nikon D750. see the list of supported cameras.
    Tethered camera support in Lightroom
Nikon need to provide the required sdk info for the camera to enable Adobe to work on adding tether support.

  • Is there a CS5 camera raw update for the Nikon D600?

is there a CS5 camera raw update for the Nikon D600

Not as yet. ACR 7.2 does have preliminary support for D600. Output may change in final release of D600 support in upcoming ACR 7.3.
    http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2012/10/camera-raw-7-2now-available.html
ACR 7.3 will have complete support for D600.
But, if you're on CS5, I'm sorry to break it you cannot upgrade to ACR 7.x...
You may want to consider upgrading to CS6 or Lightroom 4 (cheaper alternative) to get ACR 7.x support.
Or, use the DNG converter, make TIFFs and open them with PS.

  • So... how long do we have to wait for a RAW update for the Nikon D600 camera?

So... how long do we have to wait for a RAW update for the Nikon D600 camera?

Adobe releases Camera Raw every 3 or 4 months. The D600 itself was launched only about 1 week ago. I'm sure its not included in ACR 7.2 RC yet. Nikon J1 is included though. I guess you're gona have to wait for it. Maybe 7.2 final release will have it or 7.3 should. Adobe employees/ product team will not commit to a time for Camera Raw releases.
However, you can use the software Nikon would've given you to convert your images as TIFF and import them into Lightroom/ Photoshop if you're in a hurry. It would be nice if your camera supports DNG conversion out of the box! This way, you wont need a Camera Raw from Adobe.
Anyway, you could file a 'Feature Request' to Adobe here: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform
    Good luck.

  • Does anyone know when CS6 will be released for the rest of us?

There are a large group of people who STILL haven't got CS6 - even though we pre-ordered and prepaid for it. I'm referring to all the people who upgraded to CS5.5 to get CS6 when it came out.
At the time of ordering Adobe said that by purchasing CS5.5 we would get CS6 'when it became available'. That was a few weeks ago now. When nothing happened we went searching and found in the FAQs that we would be able to download it 'approximately 10 days after it was released'. No reason was given for having to wait. Adobe had our money so there was no reason to not let us download it.
Now, 14 days later, and there's still nothing from Adobe. So does anyone know what is going on at Adobe.
Adobe do not seem to understand the whole concept of pre-paying or pre-ordering something. People pre-pay/pre-order so that they can get something as soon as it is available. It should put you at the front of the line when something is released - but Adobe  managed to completely screw that up by taking our money up front and then putting us right to the back of the line!
And in case anyone is wondering - no, none of us wanted CS5.5. It was just a way, offered by Adobe, of upgrading to CS6.

I found this: on a similar thread, and hope that it helps.

  • Anyone know when a RAW coverter for the Nikon D750 will be released?

I saw the Raw Converter 8.7 is out since Oct 4th. I don't think that it works on the D750.

Native support for the D750 is now available.

  • Is there an update for the Nikon D600 for CS5.5 Bridge?

Just wondering if the Nikon D600 has been added to the list of cameras supported by Adobe Bridge in CS5.5?? I can't seem to find anything.

No, and it won't be added to that list either. The first version of ACR that fully supports the D600 is 7.3 and this needs at least PSCS 6 to work.
So you have a few options left.
Bite the bullet and start upgrading to CC (there is a dedicated photographer subscription) so you can use the new ACR 2012 version and have full access with your raw files to all new PS functions.
Or find and download the free Adobe DNG converter. This latest version can convert your D600 NEF to DNG and those DNG files will be able to show and open in CS5.5 as well as used in the ACR version you have.

  • Windows 2008 R2 - any news on when this will be supported?

We are hot on the heals of an ECC6 upgrade, the plan is to put it into our virtual environment, which is windows 2008 R2 and hyper-v.  At this time we are going to have to setup our virtual servers with Windows 2008 in leu of 2008 R2 because it isn't showing up in the supported list in PAM ye (at least I'm not seeing itt.  I understand the plan was Q4 of this year. Am I missing something that says it is now in the supported list, or are we just going to have to go ahead and upgrade the OS later?
    Thanks
    Laurie McGniley

Please check SAP note 1383873, once it is supported, this note will mention it.

  • Any word on when HTML5 will be supported for deployment of FileMaker WebDirect?

Databases deployed through FileMaker's new WebDirect do not render properly in Firefox, apparently due to lack of support for HTML5. We deploy this on both Windows and Mac. -- Victor

I used to use FileMaker back in the day... when web publishing was primitive at best.
Do you know whether there is a publicly viewable demo site online that a volunteer could use to examine this problem? I suspect it might be hard for you to provide enough detail just with text. Or perhaps you can post a screen recording illustrating the problem.

  • Is there any news about when the software update for the extravert will be available?

Had the phone since November and can't send or receive media messages or go on the internet. Basically there doesn't seem to be enough memory, stripped the phone of all apps, pics, and music to free it up but still say's it full. Getting vague answers from Verizon and L.G of  there will be new software soon. On the unlimited plan and can't use everything I'm paying for. Thanks

To supplement the known information about this update, I found a post from LG regarding what this update addresses:
    http://www.lgforum.com/forum/boards/carriers/verizon/topics/anyone-know-what-the-software-update-for-the-lg-extravert-did-and-camera-issues
    1. Memory issue
    2. Fixed touch is wrong behavior
    3. Add option to Re_send MMS to failed recipients
    4. New PRL 57011
    5. Update Opeara mini browser(189 --> 191)
    6. Reset when MMS receive after Spanish set
    7. Occurred noise to mono headset connect to MP3 play
As far as I can tell, the Camera issue wasn't addressed.  It takes awhile for the Trouble Ticket to work it's way through the system, so maybe they didn't get it in time for this update. [...]"

  • When will there be a NEW UPDATE for the 5800?

Im loving the phone, but there hasnt been a new significant update for the phone in a long time.
Really een for a new update ay, hopefuly widgets nd stuff for the home screen...

The problem you're referring to is the responsibility of the networks.
When a new firmware version is released it is given to the mobile network operators for branding and approval before being released to the general public. Operators are then supposed to make any modifications they want to the firmware (such as removing features, adding their logo etc.) and return it to Nokia for distribution via Nokia Software Update. The idea is that the new firmware will be available to users of branded phones and generic, unbranded phones more or less at the same time.
The problem with this theory is that firmware updates are about as high on the priority list of mobile network operators as looking for the Loch Ness monster. They really don't care about customers that they've already hooked and making sure their phones are up to date, they'd much rather concentrate their efforts on giving people new phones (and locking them into new contracts). The end result of this is that Nokia never receive the modified firmware from the operators, which also means that you can't update your phone because there's no new firmware to install on it. When queried about this by their customers, network operators will lie as a matter of routine and claim that they never received the updated firmware from Nokia, or that they returned it and Nokia never released it anyway. They will say anything to shift the blame away from themselves and make the manufacturer, or sometimes even the customer!, take the blame.
Some operators are better than others at approving updates. Unfortunately for you, Orange is among the worst.
The fact remains that the ball is in your operator's court now. V20 has been long since released and V21 was also released a couple of months ago. If they aren't available via NSU then that means that your operator hasn't yet bothered branding them and returning them to Nokia for distribution. The only people who can offer any help are your network operator. You need to hound them until they get themselves into gear and do something about it. Nokia can't help you because they can't distribute formware that they've not been given by the operator.
