Hi I really like using the guitar amp pro plug in in Logic to get some great distorted/messed up sounds and was wondering if any one knew of any other amp or distortion plug-ins that are available on freeware or have a demo version.(I already have camel phats camel crusher)Thanks

I have quite a few of them and appreciate the fact that I can buy just one rather than a set. Anyway, they've worked flawlessly on my iMac (PPC), but some of their older ones are not universal and won't work on my Intel MacBook Pro. Once you have them installed, you will need to click on "Configure" after you select one in the Media tab and then enter your registration number (they give you instructions); after that, just hit configure and change the factory default effect to exactly what you want (most of the plug-ins let you personalize them many different ways).

I lost my filter plug ins when I install Elements 13. If I choose one plug in in Preferences it installs it. But if I try to choose another one it just replaces the first one. How do I install multiple filter plug ins?

I have filters from Topaz, Imagenomic, ePaperPress, and Redfield. In the past when a new version of PSE came out, I just copied and pasted the folders w/ the ".8bf" files into the Plug-Ins folder of the new version. This time it didn't work.
I have been searching for a clue. I came across a confusing comment in a post from some Adobe gal [that has been linked multiple times. It said:
"Please click on Photoshop Elements in the top left corner and select 'Preferences'." The confusing thing about this is that I have no "Photoshop Elements" in the top left corner! As this is the first step, I'm stuck there...
Here is what I see in the upper-left corner:
When I click on the Elements 13 Logo, I get a small drop-down menu that has no "Preferences" option. I have versions of PSE back to 10 and none of them have "Photoshop Elements" in the top-left corner.
BTW, I'm running Win 7 Home 64.
I noticed that PSE 13 loaded into my Program Files folder, whereas all previous versions went to my Program Files (x86) folder. That indicates that 13 is running as a 64-bit app? Does that require different plugins?

I have a powemac G3 B&W 400/1gb RAM/80gb HD and its currently running OS X (10.3.9). I rather enjoy using OS 9.2 on this machine because it seems to run alot faster to me. I also like surfing the net through OS 9 as it seems a lot snappier (personal preference i guess). I have a Hawking HWU54DMA made-for-mac USB wifi adaptor, and it comes with os X drivers and wireless software. If i boot into OS 9 it recognises it as a USB WLAN 802.11b/g adaptor but asks for drivers for it. There are no OS 9 drivers on the website, but since a mac specific product, it should be able to work with 9 right? I was wondering if there was a place to get a generic 802.11b/g wifi adaptor driver for OS 9. If not then oh well, it doesnt hurt to ask i guess.

I looked around the usual places for info...the card was made recently in the post os 9 era so there are no drives in existence for it. Mac OS 9 is a completely different OS that Mac OS X (unix based)so the drivers do completely different things in different ways in a different language. There are many hacks and software to get older products to work under Mac OS X but very very few that go the other way. Since OS 9 was declared dead years ago people have almost completely stopped writing software for it. My advice is keep an eye out on versiontracker.com to see if anyone comes out with anything, but they probably won't, or get an older card on eBay .... sorry

Any one know where I can download logic environments?

I have been trying to build an environment for my Novation Bass Station and found that most of the controls on it are only controllable via system exclusive commands. Only the two envelopes and the filter have been assigned controller numbers. Although I have had a small amount of success, it seems like it would be a lot easier to download an environment that some one has already built.
So...
my questions are:
1 - Does any one know of some good links to websites with free Logic environments.
2 - Does anyone have a logic environment for the Novation BassStation that
includes all of the System Exclusive controls.

Recommend good filters / Plug-ins?

I am looking to build a good collection of Photoshop Plug-ins. Particularly image manipulation ones. I already have the Alien Skin suite and the three from Berg Design (peel off white, grey to white and grey to black). I am looking for high end professional ones. No amateur looking ripple effect or lame edge treatments.
Anyone have any gems out there?

No specific task. I do high end photo finishing, compositing and manipulation in the entertainment key art industry. So just looking for programs to ease some effects. Give me a decent base to build from. Nothing out there produces anything that is ready to go. But Alien Skin for example, can produce decent effects that can be further customized and painted on to get photorealistic results.
So looking for more stuff like that. Or stuff that can improve my process.

we have made a application which uses Oneworld. We didn't use the database connectivity tool because we used ODBC and SQL.
We have some VIs to do database connectivity using ODBC functions. So you have to know SQL as language and the ODBC functions. If you do not have this knowledge the database connectivity toolkit will make it easier for you.

The ScriptingListener Plugin is the same for CS6 as it is for Photoshop CC, all you need to do is copy and paste the plug in into the appropriate plugins folder.

Good question - and one that a lot of (business) people would like solved!
Your question prompted me to do some research, and I found this workaround posted by Scott Grossberg:
His solution actually addresses a second problem too - how to attach a document when replying to an email message. In your case you may not need to consider the "reply" aspect - but if not right now, it'll come in useful someday!
I've pasted it verbatim - if it works for you (it does for me) then all credit goes to Scott for solving the problem. There's just one thing I'd add to his solution: you will probably want to rename the message, as by default Goodreader gives it the Subject line: Mail with GoodReader attachments.
THE GOODREADER OPTION
1. CREATE the document you want to send.
2. SAVE it to GoodReader (this will require you to buy and install the app).
3. Go to your email and OPEN the email thread to which you want to Reply and attach your file.
4. COMPOSE your Reply.
5. DOUBLE TAP the message.
6. TAP SELECT ALL. This will copy the entire email thread.
7. OPEN GOODREADER on the iPad and go to the file you want to send as part of your Reply.
8. At the bottom of the GoodReader screen you will see an EXPORT icon (it looks like a rectangle with an arrow pointing to the right).
9. TAP the Export button.
10. TAP EMAIL FILE. Depending on your needs, tap either SEND FILE “AS IS” or “FLATTEN ANNOTATIONS.” This will open a compose message screen with the chosen document already attached.
11. TAP in the body of the email screen. TAP PASTE. This will place your composed Reply and the prior email thread into the message.
12. ENTER the Recipients’ names in the TO: field of your message.
13. SEND your email Reply.
The modified version (= when composing a new message rather than a reply):
1 Make sure that the doc you want to attach is saved in GoodReader
2 In the message you are composing, double tap, select all, and then copy.
3 Open GoodReader and select the file you want to attach
4 Select the export button at the bottom of screen
5 Select e-mail file
6 Position cursor in body of the email message, tap and paste. You may want to delete the "sent from GoodReader" text that precedes the attachment.
7 Rename your message (as by default it will be Mail with GoodReader attachments)
8 Add the recipient's address in the To field.

I am also facing the same issue.
four days back, my power buttton stopped working.
Then my sim card slot stopped reading like it was stuck at gsm/cdma band.
Even without simcard it said searching..
then I changed the power button and antenna strip myself as my iphone5 is uk ee and i live in india.
Everything was fine and I booted the phone.
The power button worked like a new device... but the searching problem still remained.
I hard resetted my phone but to no vail. even Find My phone was not turning off.
then I forced my phone to recovery mode and downloaded iphone5,2 7.0.2,11A501_restore.ipsw from web and flashed it.
At the start it recognised and everything was good until the "restoring iphone firmware" was stuck at the end point.
I tried every trick on net. Even tried to downgrade.. but it was blocked.
at the last it is either stuck at firmware or itunes unknown error (3)

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

Well the term "hotlined" I have never heard before. In any case many states (like NY) just passed regulatory powers to the State Public Service Commission of which it may be called something different in your state. You could file a complaint with them. Or file a complaint with your state attorney generals office, they also take on wireless providers.
The problem here is the staff you speak to are poorly trained, in days gone by it took one call to them and they pulled up your account and see the error and had the authority to remove any errors. They did not remove legitimate account actions, but used their heads instead of putting a customer off or worse lying to the customer.
Its a shame you have to go through what you going through.
