Any one worked with SAP Fiori Or Personas

Hi Experts
Can you please let me know if any one of you have used SAP Fiori or Personas.
I have a ABAP Webdynpro application and Client has a question if we can migrate similar things to Fiori or Personas.
More intrested for Fiori as it can be used via mobiles as well.

I am not an expert in this matter, but i think i can share some info.
SAP Fiori uses a very different development approach using SAPUI5 (HTML5/Javascript/CSS etc).
I really don't know if there is a way to migrate WDA with your intent, it seems more like a redesign of your applications using the SAPUI5 resources, which can result in a reasonable amount of effort, depending on your WD applications quantity, complexity, size and other several factors.
It has to be sized very carefully, and the new designs must be based on a solid software modelling that suits and leverages the advantages of the SAPUI5 framework.
There is much content to venture into, you can search for SAPUI5 tutorials/info, or add it with Fiori.

Has any one work with more than 9 clips to make a multiclip

Im working on a one live man show that had four cameras running time of day time code.
The cameras all ran at the same speed and had gotten the tc correct.
Because of the tape reloads due to length of show and a few camera stop and starts I loaded into final cut about 4 clips for each camera.
Each clip is between 5 to 20 min.
With four cameras running Ive ended up with 13 clips total.
I assigned each camera its own angle
I would like to see each camera as its own angle and end up with only four clips in my multiclip, instead of getting 13 different clips.
Also is their a way to simply toggle thru each multiclip both in viewer and canvas by just using the up or down arrows, instead of the key pad for each camera.
For now my work around is to make several multiclips by breaking the show into several parts.

Wow, you guys perceived and answered an entirely different question than I did. I do not see the problem here at all, it's just like creating three nests; three four-camera multiclips that butt up against each other. (There is one extra angle, number 13, dunno how it fits in but it's obviously one extra short clip for one of the cameras.) This all depends on the statement "The cameras all ran at the same speed and had gotten the tc correct."
Capture the four camera into three clips each with a little bit of overlap. Create the multiclips using timecode, drop them into the timeline and line them up with timecode, and cut till you're blue in the face or happy with the results.
While it's possible to create and assign shortcuts to all of the keys, the prebuilt layout for multiclip is very cool and it's all set to go.

there is a app called Btv which will allow you to record video and audio that is inputed from the A/V card (wings personality card). depending on the cpu speed you have difrent recording results. i know it uses QT but im not for shure if it will use any codec that is installed in QT tho.

Hi William,
The ALD add-on had fax functionality but I believe that this add-on is no longer going to be provided by SAP and it's future licensing and availability is unknown.
The only other one I recollect seeing was in an add-on called CrystalWave from Third Wave. This is basically a replacement report writer (for some forms and reports) using the Crystal Engine and offered fax functionality through an internet fax service (the example they gave was efax.com). I've not installed or tested the product so this is not a recommendation, but it might be an option for you.

Hi Harish,
for concatenation in BI, define one more infoobject with size long enough to contain the concatenation of those fields. then in the transformation rules connect those 3 fields to this new infoobject also. then double click on its rule, a screen will pop up where u can define the rule. in that screen select 'Routine' in the rule type, a window will open where u can write the routine for concatenation. they have provided the spaces where to define local data, where to write the code and where the result.
in declaration area, define a local variable in which u'll take the concatenated text.
in code area write the code like:
CONCATENATE SOURCE_FIELDS-<field1> SOURCE_FIELDS-<field2> SOURCE_FIELDS-<field3> INTO <local_var>.
then under result value assign RESULT = <local_var>.
Check & save the code, go back and transfer this rule in ur transformation rules. now do the extraction.

Hi Sivaram,
1. As a DP functional consultant you need to resolve all the incidents raised in APO DP module( Forecasting, lifecycle planning, master data in APO DP, Planning books, macros , release to APO SNP or R/3 or other systems, CVC maintenance etc) which will also include BW part of SCM -APO related to DP, like data extraction and back up into and from infocubes. You will also support all the interfaces realted to APO DP , for the APO related part of the interface.
You need to reoslve these incidents in the time frames defined by SLAs for the support project.
You will have to also carry out problem management of some of the critical incidents so that incidents do not re-occur.
Further you will have to support Release /Change managment support( if it is part of your contract of Support project).
This willl involve testing changes in quality system, before these are moved to production system.
2 I found 2 crtical issues in APO DP support as below:
2.1 Sales history extraction data interafces from BW system used to have problems : technical problems of interface / jobs in BW running late, functional problems: sales history extract in BW not correct because various reasons
This used to lead to delayed job runs in APO and finally delayed forecasting and ptehr DP processes .
By proactive monitoring by BW team and taking appropriate actions for master data issues, this issue occurance frequency was reduced , but not completely eliminated.
2.2 Another major issue was related to back up process of APO DP planning data into infocubes. Finally by splitting the jobs as per daily, weekly and monthly bakc up procedure , we were able to resolve the issue.

Like I said, I'm not a techno-idiot, I'm actually pretty savvy, but this really isn't my area of expertise, so I really really would appreciate some wiser minds than mine looking at this and giving me some information.
Additional information that may help: when I go to Settings > Cellular Data > View Account > ,I get a system error message; it won't let me contact to my account and gives me a number. I assume I'll have to contact Verizon regarding my account, but I'm still wondering about the LTE sim question vs just a "regular" cellular signal.
Does it even make sense what I'm asking or am I just being a complete and total idiot?

Are any scanners working with Mavericks? Am I the only person who believes that scanning has become an essential service of any current OS?

It's been a while now since Mavericks was released in the wild. The same afternoon I upgraded I attempted to do something which has become more routine than printing - scanning. But when I went to find my scanning software, there was nothing there. A reinstall of the latest drivers for my all-in-one printer/scanner did not fix the problem - still no scanner. A search of the manufacturer's web site for drivers to work with Mavericks found nothing.
At first I assumed it was just my "not os ordinary" printer/scanner but my wife's very ordinary printer/scanner was the same - neither manufacturer had a driver for Mavericks. Further a little web searching lead me to believe that there are not many, if any scanner manufacturers who do support Mavericks - is that possible?
Can Apple has decided that scanning is not an essential service for an OS? It might have been nice to ask first or at least warn us - some of us depend upon our Apple systems for a livelyhood. Has anyone heard any good news about when scanner drivers will be available for Mavericks?

Try using the OS X pre installed Image Capture app in your Applications folder.
Connect the scanner to your Mac whether Wi-Fi or USB.
Launch Image Capture.
Click the very small black box bottom left side of the Image Capture window.
You'll see this pop up menu: Connecting this (device) opens:
You can select a default app to scan (Image Capture) and select a folder from the Imort To pop up menu on the right to save scanned files to.
