Any OOB Web Service or HTTP adapter in OIM for Recon?

Is there any OOB, Web Service or HTTP adapter available in OIM using which, User account data can be reconciled from a SOA service?

Ya web service is available. You can go through Design Console Guide chapter 12 for more. If you need any help for that just let me know.
Depends on the OIM Installation, you have to run the following commans:
For windows-
OIM_HOME_Dir\setup\spml_AppServerName.cmd appserver_admin_password oim_db_user_password
For unix:
OIM_HOME_Dir/setup/spml_AppServerName.sh appserver_admin_password oim_db_user_password
These are for non-clustered environment.
If you want to create your won WS, then
Create a dummy RO in OIM and your favorite java web service package (i.e. Apache Axis2) and create a small server app (i.e follow the example in the quick start (qs) guide in Axis2). Deploy the server side app on any app server that you happen to have handy (or follow the instructions Axis2 qs guide). Deploy the client side as provisioning process for your dummy object.

  • Error calling external web service over HTTPS

    Hi everyone
I'm trying to call an external web service over HTTPS, and continually get the following error:
com.sap.engine.services.webservices.espbase.wsdl.exceptions.WSDLException: Peer sent alert: Alert Fatal: handshake failure
I haven't tried doing this before, so not quite sure where to start. I have a client certificate that must be used to access the remote web service, and I think the problem is associating the client cert with the web service call.
Has anyone else tried this before? Any suggestions of where to look?
I've had a brief look at Key Storage in NWA, but it's not something I'm familiar with - so not sure if it's even the right place to be looking.
Some help on this would be great!
    Thanks
    Stuart

    Thanks Aleksandar
Here's the output from the trace. Unfortunately the SAP forums don't allow attachments, so it may be difficult to read. Please let me know if you see anything that may help.
    Thanks

  • How to invoke a web service using https

    Hi,
I have a few security related questions surrounding BPEL process manager.
    1. Does the BPEL engine have the capability to invoke a web service using https (HTTP over SSL)? Does it automatically do that if partner link URI starts with https:// ?
    2. If not, what needs to be done to enable accessing a https based web service?
    3. I need to write a web service that accepts a message and updates certain information in the database. The web service will be deployed in an OC4J instance in Oracle App Server. We want to allow the web service to be accessed from BPEL only by users registered in the database. What is the recommended way to pass username and password to a webservice if service is invoked from BPEL process manager? Note that specifying username/password in bpel.xml is not an option.
    Thanks,
    Pranav

We currently don't have support for HTTP over SSl. We are working on it to include this functionality in near future.
    2. If not, what needs to be done to enable accessing a https based web service?
I am not sure it is possible with current product offering. I will confirm it after discussing with our concerned development group. There is some work going to integrate with Oblix security mechanism [recently acquired by Oracle].

This will be easier to do if we can use Oblix along with BPEL PM. Could you please let us know more about your application so that we can provide you the customized solution till it's part of the product. You can send this query to [email protected] so that our product management team can give you more detailed roadmap regarding this.

  • Is there any dummy web service for study purpose?

    Hi Devs,
One of my friend want to use a java web service, as he is not in my domain I am not able to give him web service developed on my machine. He is doing research on how sharepoint can use Java web service. Any simple java service doing addition calculation will do for him. But the thing is that we both are not able to find a dummy or study purpose web service on net. It will be great help if anyone has any link to such web service.
    Looking forward to you help.

Thanks Cindy for your kind help :-) !!!
We also need a dummy java web service which is already existing somewhere on internet, uploaded for study purpose. This web service will be used for test purpose in application. A simple java web service doing addition or calculation will do.

  • UCM 11g web services with HTTP authentication

Is it possible to setup UCM 11g web services with HTTP authentication?
I did setup UCM 11g web services using OWSM policies and are working well.
But my development team wants to consume web services with only HTTP authentication (simple user name and password), do not want to use Keystore files and encryption.
    Please help me guys.
    Thank you in advance

    Hi ,
If you are looking to use the WSDL to execute ucm services then use SoapUI IDE on development , there it requires only the http authentication method .
Let me know if this is the actual requirement which you were looking for or if I have missed the point .
I use this to quickly test WSDL and verify if the service being invoked is actually correct or not .
    Thanks,
    Srinath

I wanna create a Web Service with HTTPS. Now when I create an endpoint in Transaction SOAMANAGER, I use "Transport Guarantee Type" HTTPS. I'm a little bit confused, becuase at "Authentication Method I have different options which I don't understand.
At Authentication Method, there are some check boxes.
Whats the difference between HTTP Authentication and Message Authentication?
(Why) can I use User ID/Password as Authentication Method with HTTPS? I think I need X.509 SSL Client Certificate.
    What is a Logon Ticket?
Is there a good Documentation in the web, who explains the meaning of the different options and when to use which option?
    Thanks and regards,
    Sebastian

    Hi,
    >>>WSDL in Integration Directoryb but that WSDL containt a like staring with the HTTP instead of HTTPS! My question is how to generate a wsdl file with an HTTPS url tot he web service,
you don't use the URL from ID - you need to create one yourself and put it there in the generator

    Hello,

    Hi Samuel,
I guess its using proxy to access the tomcat server. Please add your
tomcat server in the exclude list of WS Global setting in the Netweaver administrator if you dont want to use proxy. It will work fine.

  • SAP Sybase ESP - Error: Invalid URI at Example: Using a Simple Web Services (SOAP) Input Adapter

    Hello all,
we need our help regarding the StockTrader example project that is delivered with SAP Sybase Event Stream Processor (Sybase ESP 5.1).
we want to build a simple Web Service and follow the instructions as described in the Sybase Infocenter. We have attached a screenshot ("Sybase InfoCenter") that contains the described steps (as copying the URL always lead to a wrong page).
We have problems with Step 10 ("Start the ESP project by running the start_project.bat or start_project.sh script."). We get the error message "Invalid URI" as you can see in screenshot "[error] Invalid Uri". Previously we started the "start_node.bat" (Step 9) - see also screenshot "[error] Invalid Uri".
Like in steps 6 and 7 mentioned, we have changed the parameters "USER" and "PASSWORD" of the adapter_config.xml files and the parameters "ADAPTER_EXAMPLE_USERNAME"and "ADAPTER_EXAMPLE_PASSWORD" of the
set_example_env.bat files. Here, we were a bit confused wether we should change these parameters in all those files as there are 4 adapter_config.xml and 4 set_example_env.bat files. Please refer to the attached screenshot ("changed files").
Does anyone know why this error occurs and how to continue to complete the Web Service?
Later we want to push data with this Web Service into a SAP HANA database table.
We are thankful for any input and help.
    Regards, Andreas

    Hello Neal,
thanks a lot for your help.
The solution for us was to change the column names inside Sybase ESP Studio to the column names in StockTraderMappings.xml.
After compiling and running the project we could see the data and were also able to push it to SAP HANA.
This is the CCL Code that worked for us:
    CREATE SCHEMA tradesSchema (
        transaction_buyerId INTEGER,
        transaction_sellerId INTEGER,
        transaction_supervisorIds INTEGER,
        transaction_tradeTime LONG,
        transaction_trades_amount INTEGER,
        transaction_trades_price FLOAT,
        transaction_trades_symbol STRING
    CREATE INPUT STREAM tradesIn SCHEMA tradesSchema;
CREATE OUTPUT STREAM tradesOut SCHEMA tradesSchema
         AS  SELECT * FROM tradesIn;
    * mapFilePath is currently ignored and must be set via the mappingFile configuration parameter
    * in the given adapter configuration file (configFilePath).
ATTACH INPUT ADAPTER Web_Services_SOAP_Input_Adapter TYPE soapinput TO tradesIn PROPERTIES configFilePath =
    'C:/Sybase/ESP-5_1/adapters/webservices/examples/input/adapter_config.xml' ,
    mapFilePath = 'C:/Sybase/ESP-5_1/adapters/webservices/examples/input/stockTraderMappings.xml' ,
    jdkHome = 'C:/Software/Java/jdk' ,
    discoveryWsdl = 'http://localhost:8080/axis2/services/StockTraderService?wsdl' ,
    discoveryWorkingDir = 'C:/tmp/adapter/soap' ,

  • Consuming an External Web Service using HTTPS and WS Security

    Hello everyone,
I'm having a problem setting the security information in a SOAP header using a generated ABAP Client Proxy to consume an external web service that requires a User ID and Password in the Header section of the SOAP message.  I need to use HTTPS. I'm on a WAS 7.01 SP08 system so from my readings, SAP is supposed to be able to add the username and password into the header section of the message.  I can't seem to get SAP to add this information added to the header.
Here are the steps that I have taken to set the security values.
    1) Created the client proxy from the WSDL in SE80.  Basic Authentication on the Configuration tab was turned on automatically.
Note, Transport Security is set to None.  I cannot change it.
    2) Created an outbound set user name profile in transaction WSPROFILE with the appropriate username and password.
    3) Added the profile to the default port in transaction LPCONFIG as an outbound under the WS Security section of the screen.
When I called the external Web Service, I got back the following error message:
com.ibm.wsspi.wssecurity.SoapSecurityException: WSEC5509E: A security token whose type is [http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-username-token-profile-1.0#UsernameToken] is required.
So, after reading through this Forum, I saw that I needed to use the SOAMANAGER.  I set up a Proxy in the SOAMANAGER and manually created the Logical Port.  This was the only way I could figure out how to set the Authentication Settings in the Logical Port to "User ID / Password".  I then entered the User ID and Password.
However, I am still getting the same error message.  I feel I am close but missing some small configuration to tell SAP to use WS Security with a Username token.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, so any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Stephen

I had this error again so I thought I would post my solution:
The issue is SAP needs to know the certificates being used by the web site being called.  These certificates are automatically installed in your browser but need to be manually installed in SAP.  This is what I did:
    How to find/install new certificates
Make sure you run Internet Explorer as an Administrator so you can export the certificates
Go to the web site that SAP is trying to call in Internet Explorer
Double click on the lock in the address bar
    View certificates
Find the certificates that are being used
Tools --> Internet Options --> Content --> Certificates
Click on the “Trusted Root Certification Authorities” tab
Find the certificate identified in step iii
    Export as a CER certificate
Click on the “Intermediate Certification Authorities” tab
Find the certificate identified in step iii
    Export as a CER certificate
    Go to STRUST in SAP
Import the Certificates in the “Anonymous” or “Standard” SSL client
    Save
RESTART the ICM via t-code SMICM  <-- Critical!!!

  • ABAP consuming Web Service in HTTPS keeps prompting for credentials

I have a Share Point Web Service that I want
to call in HTTPS from ABAP
in an ECC 6.0 SAP_BASIS 700 SP 30 system. The
    following steps have been
    executed:
    BASIS work completed –
    SAPCRYPTOLIB, HTTPS Activation, profile
    parameters, STRUST certificates
I have created the Client Proxy in SE80 for the SharePoint WCF Web Service
The Logical Port was created in SOAMANAGER
The issue I have is when I test the process using SE80 sometimes it will prompt
for credentials, sometimes it won't. The behavior is very sporadic, I
can run it once and it prompts then the second time it doesn't. This is
especially true after a restart of the system. The user and password
are on the RFC destination under consumer security tab.
Any suggestions why the prompting for
    credentials?

[autotype] WARNING: Unable to fully map ['http://xxx.xxx/xxx/xxx/2005/11/30']:GetDataResponse using javax.xml.soap.SOAPElementOur client code for the getData() call looks mostly correct. There's a GetData object created with an "id" field. Typically, I've seen that when the web service method calls are generated, it gives me two ways to call:
    - one that takes a bean (in this case, a GetData object)
    - one that takes the actual fields (in this case, just a String)
Only the method that takes the bean is getting generated, but that's not a big deal.
The client code for the setData() call, however, is all screwed up. There is no SetData bean object, and the only method call that gets generated takes just a SOAPElement, the "id" field is left completely out. Without any way to specify the id of the data I'm setting, the setData() method call is worthless.
My first suspicion was that the Ant tasks did not know how to handle the <any> tag. But we're getting exactly what we want, a SOAPElement object returned in the getter and a SOAPElement to set in the setter. The problem is that it's leaving out the "id" string in the setter. I guess I'm having a hard time seeing why it's almost working.
Anyone have any ideas? I almost feel like this could be a bug. Sorry for the long post.
    Tobin
