Any Panasonic PV-GS250 Users

I am thinking about the purchase of this camcorder and wonder i there is any problem using it with IMovie and the latest 10.4 OS. If anyone has actual experiemnce I would be most interested to get your feedback.

I've had the PV-GS200 for about 18 months now and have used it in a wide variety of settings. It links well with our iMac and iMovie. Pass through works fine. It does not do as well in very low light conditions as I had hoped, and often needs to be put in manual mode with manual white balance to provide good color.
Exporting photos to iPhoto also works well. This is done when the camcorder is in "PC" mode, and uses a USB cable.

Hi Microsoft Excel Power Map program team!
I looked @ your Excel Power Map program add on, and it’s great.
However everyone is looking for the ability for the user to create polygon (boundary) maps.
It should not be that hard to add this functionality onto such a great map program you already have.
For example: let’s say one has 10 latitude & longitude coordinates and he wants to see the polygon (boundary) of them on your great map. One should be able to just put those 10 latitude & longitude coordinates in an Excel sheet, fire up your Power
Map, select that it should be plotted as a polygon (boundary) and it will display on the map.
Does Microsoft have any plans to add user polygon (boundary) map creation ability to your great Excel Power Map program?
I would also like to see Excel Power map have USA census tracts built into it just like is has USA zip codes built into it. Census data is also very important as thousands and thousands of people need to display polygon (boundary) for census tracts.

Pro Doesn't recognize Panasonic PV-GS250

I want to import movies created on my 3-chip Panasonic PV-GS250, but the MBP won't recognize the camcorder. No, it does not have firewire, but surely there must be a way using the USB cable! I don't want to spend hundreds more $$ for a new camera.
Solution anyone?

No, it does not have firewire
Ummmm...it most certainly does!! And the FireWire connection is the best for digital video (USB can drop frames, FireWire won't). Admittedly, it's not called "FireWire" by Panasonic. You'll see terms like DV-Link, IEEE1394, etc. All are FireWire. All you need is a 4-pin-to-6-pin FireWire cable, plug the 4-pin (smaller end) into the camera (the port is marked DV), and the 6-pin end into your Mac. The camcorder should be set to playback mode not PC mode (and *this is important*, since in PC mode iMovie will see the camcorder but give a connection error, but with the camcorder in playback iMovie should detect it and control it - at least, it does for my PV-GS35).

You can have both clicking and hovering. But you need to add the definition manually for every such word.

Are there any BI Publisher JDE users in the UK who would be willing to share their experience of using BI Publisher?
We currently run Formscape to produce all our customer facing documentation and some internal reports, that are generated via JDE and we are looking to migrate to BI Publisher.
We are currently running JDE Enterprise One 8.11 SP1 Update 2 with tools release 8.97.3.2. and looking to upgrade to tools release 8.98.4.5.

i've tested it both on 6i and 10g and also set the lov name at runtime.
All i can say is, it does what it is supposed to do.
So you should give it one more try:
- leave the item properties NULL ( LOV name ) and NO ( Validate_From_List )
- add following code in the WVI - Trigger

As we know, we can copy the graphs to other users using /n/sapapo/sdp_graph. But is their any way to restrict user from overriding the graph to particular user.
Scenarios:
In a project we have super user and semi-super user, whenever super user uses above t-code to copy graph to all users (he has included semi-super user id to target user list) but semi-super user does not want to override his graph by super user.
Do we have such function in APO to restrict?

    It could be that DSO_X is a write optimized DSO. Since a Write optimised DSO does not require any activation, it is capable of loading data much faster. Once the data is in BW, you have an exact copy of the R/3 data, so you dont need the PSA and they can be deleted on a regular basis. You have a definite performance improvement in this case.
   As you said a backup is also possible if you have a DSO. Helps in the case of LIS loads, since you already have a copy of the data in BW, you would not need to perform setup activties if you need to do so minor changes.
   It could also be that different transformations are happening at each level of DSO. You would need to check for start and update routines for exactly what changes are being made. for eg. If I need to change some records, i do it in DSO_X, if i need to change these records based on the changes made in DSO_X, i change them while loading to DSO. Further changes can be done while loading to the cube.

You are sure that you have a rescue email address, and not an alternate email address ? They are different addressess and settings.

Unfortunately not. Advanced Find can only display records of one type - i.e. you can't show an entity, along with its related entities.
Also, the underlying entities that store the team membership and role membership are not available for output in Advanced Find.
Instead, you could create a report to display this data

Panasonic PV-GS250 used to work great with my MAC

In 2007 I purchased a a Panasonic Digital Camcorder (PV-GS250) and it worked like a dream with my Macbook Pro. Purchased an IMAC (Oct 07) with Leopard OS, the dream continued for both. I hadn't edited for a while and had a new project I was working on. As usual and it loaded like a dream, then my dream became a nightmare, because the playback was incredibly distorted. I don't know if any else has a similar problem but I need help. Not sure if a driver will fix it or what???? Any suggestions????

Is there any way to change user operations on multiple tracks at once?

I have a complex project (99 tracks, dozens of menus and scripts). I need to make one version of this DVD for the end client (teenagers at health clinics) who will be forced to view it in a specified way, and another version for educators (staff at the clinics) who will be allowed to fast-forward and have access to a menu from which they can jump to different points in the DVD.
I have different menus to serve as "first play" for these different versions so that I can easily switch between versions when burning disc images, and I have set up GPRMs to make navigation different for the two versions automatically. My problem now is that I want to disable forward scan, next program, root menu, and title menu for the client version. As far as I can tell, I have to do that independently for every single track and menu. Bleah. This is especially annoying since the DVD is still in development, so I am continuing to change small things and will need to keep both versions up to date as I do.
Is there any way to select multiple tracks/menus and change user operations on all of them? Or any other work-around or script that could do it? I thought this would be a perfect task for the automator, but I'm not very familiar with that application and don't know how (or if it's possible) to create new actions other than the ones that are available.
Any ideas?

Thanks. But the disc inspector only appears to let me change things like where the title menu button takes you, not detailed user operations. I have pretty much given up on this being anything other than a giant hassle, but if anybody knows whether a script could do this, I would be eternally grateful.

We have a requirement to prevent users from ship confirming on a particular date. This is due to they are performing Annual Physical Inventory.
Is it possible to restrict users performing shipping transactions on this particular date?
I have tried adding exception to the existing Calendar set at org level and there is no customer specific Calendar defined, however it is still allowing me to perform ship confirm.
Please let me know if you have any suggestion on this requirement.

Yes is Possible.
You can add An Exception in Your Shipping Calender.
So when Some one tries to ship an Order on that date Oracle will automatically select Next possible date.
