Any plugins that allow creation of toolbars?

So I know that you can run scripts through a dropdown menu, and you can assign hotkeys to run actions, but are there any plugins or extensions out there that allow a user to create their own toolbars within Photoshop, so you could run a script by pressing a toolbar button that's always visible?

I have multiple DDS files that I have been trying to open in Photoshop Elements 8, and a window comes up and says that it cannot open it because it is the "wrong type of file". I would like to know if there are any plugins I can download to fix this problem. It would also be helpful if the plugin could save the file in a DDS format, too. I had been using a trial of Photoshop CS6 and I had a plugin for that, and I recently found an old disc that had Photoshop Elements 8 on it that I downloaded. Back to the point, are there any plugins that can do this?

My requirement is to display the owner name and in the future I want to allow creation of a new owner from this page, .So i have used an
[ Popup Key LOV (Displays description, returns key value)] for the time being which displays name(Description in other table)

But you could use the iPhone Simulator of Xcode if you have access to an Mac. Like the name explains, it simulates an iPhone on an Mac, but you cannot use all standard apps

Can I build a plugin that allows my clients to export a photos or a collection as a catalog?

All I want to know is if I can invoke the export as catalog feature (file>export as catalog) from a plugin. For a example, I want my users to put their photo on any collection created under my plugin and allow them to export their selection as a catalog. So I can receive their catalog on the destination site, I dont want to receive individual photos, I want to be able to receive the catalog.
Is that possible?

Ellis what I need to know is if the exporting services provided by SDK and the API somehow would allow me to export a collection or a group of collections as a catalog, so I can take advantage from the smart previews. I would like to perform this action as a comand, i.e. Right click send to melvin.
I know that the API provides a function to build smart previews, but am I able to export those smart previews without the catalog? If so, would I be able to edit those files on other computer and then import them back ?

Have you tried mimising the mail app, double tap hom ebutton, hold the app where it appears along the bottom of the screen until it wiggles and then tap on minus sign. Tap once on home button and then open the mail app again

I have just purchased a 2nd generation iPod and I am a returning user to iTunes. unfortunately, I have not used iTunes since the year 2008. I have noticed a lot of things have changed and I am unable to properly organize my music. I have noticed that I cannot change the display of my songs and albums from icons into a list. I would like to form a list so that I may change the name of the composing artist so I can compile multiple songs into one album. Unfortunately, many of the DJ and Trance albums that I already have on my computer have various contributing artists and are then catigorized by the names of their contribiting artist. What I want to do is take all of these songs from one CD that have alreayd been divided and recombine them to form one singlar album on my itunes. I find it frustrating in having to search through 3000 songs just so I can upload my most favorite ones onto my iPod when I could just drag and drop the entire album into the iPod folder. I have also tried high lighting all of the songs that I want to combine into one album and then right click to get more information and change the name of the contributing artist so that they will automatically compile into one folder but it did not work. I also tried to drag and drop one song onto another, just the same as I would in Microsoft Media Player if I wanted to combine albums or add songs to an album, but that also did nothing except cause my computer to make a sound. I would like to know how I can optimize my itunes and make the most of what I have. Unfortunately, it seems like you company is not formiliar with the term "If it is not broken, then do not fix it". Putting asside that comment, is there anything that I can do to combine albums that I have not already tried and could you please give me any suggestions that will work so I will continue this product instead of giving up and just go back to using microsoft. Thank you very much.

This is a user to user support forum...
The main differences between iTunes 11 and earlier versions are the loss of coverflow and ability to have multiple windows open.
In Windows, you can restore much of the look & feel of earlier versions with these shortcuts:
ALT to temporarily display the menu bar
CTRL+B to show or hide the menu bar
CTRL+S to show or hide the sidebar
CTRL+/ to show or hide the status bar (won't hide for me on Win XP)
Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the old search behaviour
Use View > Hide <Media Kind> in the cloud or Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the cloud purchases to hide the cloud items. The second method eliminates the cloud status column (and may let iTunes start up more quickly)
If you don't like having different coloured background & text in the Album (Grid) view use Edit > Preferences > General and untick Use custom colours for open albums, movies, etc.
Edit > Preferences > General > Show list views for all media does what it says
With iTunes 11.0.3 and later you can enable artwork in the Songs view from View > Show View Options (CTRL+J) making it more like the old Album List view
View > Show View Options (CTRL+J) also contains options to change the sorting of grid based views
Within Music the Songs view should be the list you are familiar with.
As to getting things organized see Grouping tracks into albums.

Any app that allows me to record the last few minutes of audio continuously?

I need an app that allows me to record the last N minutes of audio continuously until I stop it.
So, say I want it to record just the last 5 minutes of audio.
I could potentially have it recording for hours but I don't want an audio file that is mutli hours long - I just want the last 5 minutes.
You might ask, why I would want this ?
Say, you're trying to record something, but you don't know exactly when it'll happen, and when it a happens, it doesn't last long enough for you to turn on the phone and start recording.

I saw an app exactly like that in the App store months ago.
It was for lecutres primarly.
When opened it always "records" like to build a buffer though not really saving. When you press record it will start really saving and can go back a ways based on options. So a student can listen to lecture but only press the record button when wanting to save something and have it able to save back x amount of time and forward until told to stop.

Color grading inside FCP using Lab color space? Any plugins?

Hi guys,
Is it possible to color grade footage with Lab color space? I don't think Apple Color supports Lab so I'm hoping there's some other way. Are there any plugins that allow you to do that? If there are no plugins, are there any color grading apps you'd recommend that support Lab?

Why use LAB if it doesn't end up in LAB colour space?
I get the comment by a lot of people who don't understand what LAB is
It is kind of like saying how can a print designer do work on a computer monitor when the printed material ends up on paper as cmyk.
Basically you use LAB because you can do things in LAB that you can't do when Editing in CMYK or RGB. (Note Editing - you convert to RGB or CMYK after.)
The main advantage of it as a Tool is that is treats Tone / Luminance (L) independent to colour.
You can ramp up curves without blowing out the image or shifting the colour.
or vice versa you can change the colour without changing the tone.
You can't do this with CMYK or RGB because the tone of the image, the luminance, is embedded into the colour channels.
And you can REALLY ramp things up and still get great looking images.
That makes LAB a great grading tool - for a look that would be unavailable if Editing in CMYK or RGB.
We have print graders using LAB for work that ends up printed as CMYK,
I use LAB for online work that ends up as RGB - in a professional advertising agency.
By device independent I mean that it is at a level higher than CMYK or RGB.
It is not relying on the output device - a monitor, tv screen or printer - to define how the colour is created.
You can do you work in LAB then export it out to CMYK & RGB with very little loss as LAB encompasses both colour spaces and far far more.
That is what makes LAB a powerful colour space.

All of a sudden, I can no longer add any plugins to any channel strips? And when I click on an existing plugin to edit, it disappears off the channel strip?

I am running Logic express 9 on a 2008 Macbook, (non pro). Anyhow, logic has always seemed to work great for me. However, last week I opened up one of many existing projects, (I'm in sample editor). When I went to add a new plugin to one of the channel strips it would not allow me to. Also, if I click on any plugin that already exists on the channel strip it dissapears? The strange thing that also happens weather I click to add a new plugin or click on an already existing plugin, is both the "repeat section" and "crop", buttons from the above menu (in sample editor), the actual buttons become a faded image,(as far as the actual font and images of the buttons). As soon as I am done clicking to add a plugin on the channel strip, both buttons from the menu go back to looking normal like all of the other choices from that menu? I really don't get it? All I want to do is to be able to add plugins as well as edit or change plugins again. Any thoughts as to why I can no longer add any new plugins to any channel strips? And why any existing plugins disappear from the channel strip when I click on it? Why the "repeat section", and "Crop", buttons from the menu above fade in and out when I try clicking on the channel strip is very strange? I don't mind that I just want to be able to add or edit plugins again. I did do some document cleaning up last week as my memory was getting low. I then emptied out my trash bin. I'm hoping I didn't accidentally delete some kind of Logic component? Why can't I add or edit plugins anymore? Anyone ever run across this?

Are any of your other applications going wonky, or is it just Logic?
I'm afraid I've never heard of this particular problem before, but if it were happening to me the first thing I would do is delete my "com.apple.logic.express.plist" file in Library>Preferences, then repair permissions in Disc Utility, and finally restart my computer. Then I would launch Logic and see if the problem has been corrected. It's amazing how much these two steps can accomplish.
If that doesn't resolve the issue I would launch Logic and go to Preferences>Audio Units Manager to see if all my plug-ins are properly validated.

Thanks everyone! Felt a complete twit. Went to view, customize toolbars and then dragged the arrows back into the toolbar. No idea how we lost 'em though.
