Any possibility to update ML 10.8. without upgrading to 10.9.?

Hello All
Is there any possibility to have (automized security) updates for Mountain Lion 10.8.5. without upgrading to 10.9. Mavericks?
If not - how about security updates?
(For example: iTunes 11.1.1. tells me to update, but then only the entire 10.9 Mavericks Update is availeble.)

should this mean, that I cannot update 10.8.5. via App Store? Does it mean, that I have to download and install all updates for ML manually (as long as I dont't want to upgrade to 10.9?)

I have recently purchased the mac mini (mid July 2011) and updated to the latest iTunes, 10.5. I was trying to update my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5 software but iTunes warned me that my music and apps would be lost because it wasn't originally synced with this version of iTunes or something of the sort. How can I update to iOS 5 without losing any apps and my music which wasn't purchased but imported into iTunes 8.2.1?

That's a whole nother issue...I have the Power Mac G3 and mac mini connected to one monitor and keyboard using a KVM Switch. I tried using an ethernet crossover cable to transfer the data from the G3 to the mini using Migration Assistant but it says the G3 needs to update to Lion. Mac OS 10.4.11 is the latest software update for the G3.
I have the G3 data backed up on a Western Digital MyBook external HD via firewire 400 but the mini is firewire 800 however, I did see a 9-pin to 6-pin FireWire 800/400 cable by Belkin. Could that be used to transfer the data from the HD to the mini? Sorry if that was too much information...I will check out the link. Thanks...Oh, what about the apps? They are all free downloads, do I have to download them again r does the same apply for them as the music?

Any way to update iPad to ios5 without connecting to PC / Mac?

My iPad 1 stopped showing up in iTunes on all my Macs and PCs two weeks ago. After spending days and nights going through all possible solutions, I gave up and assume that it's a faulty dock connector (and no more warranty). It would be nice to get iOS 5 as I could then sync iTunes through wifi.
Any suggestions?

Mine did the same thing and the USB port on the iPad had died. Fortunately mine was only a couple of months old so Best Buy exchanged it for a new one. If you've replicated it with multiple USB cords, multiple chargers and multiple computers then the USB/Docking port is about the only thing left.
You can see if Apple can repair it (and it's more than a year old i'm guessing since you said it was out of warranty)
Beyond that I'm thinking you're just out of luck. You can try taking it to an apple store and see what they say.

I have written some code to update the gl code column in the sales order matrix depending on a field value
This works fine but generates the usual screen flicker / events being produced
I update it using -
matrix.Columns.Item("159").Cells.Item(pVal.Row).Specific.STRING = recset.Fields.Item(0).Value
Is there a faster to do this please ?
I have tried the new matrix.SetCellWithoutValidation command but this only works on udf fields

I had the latest version of Firefox 5 getting automatically upgraded to Firefox 6.0, which disabled my Java 6.022 and 6.023 plugin. Since updating my Java is not an option, because then I can't access my bank account, I uninstalled Firefox 6.0 and installed Firefox 5.0. I quickly cancelled and disabled the auto-update. Now I have no idea if this is the oldest or the latest version of Firefox 5, because the auto-update doesn't let me choose the latest version of Firefox 5 instead of Firefox 6.0. Is there a way to do this manually?

That are Java Console extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and not the Java plugin (Tools > Add-ons > Plugins).
You can uninstall and remove Java Console extensions, you do not need them to run Java applets.

Is it possible to remove iOS install files without upgrading?

I have a 5th gen iPod Touch.
I'm not upgrading to iOS 7. The iPod downloaded the install file and tells me it's ready to be installed, the file seems to occupy about 1Gb on th iPod, I would like to remove it to free that space.
Maybe i will download it again or upgrade via iTunes in the future.
Can I remove the file from the iPod?

I wonder if there is any possibility of updating the OS straight, without purchasing Snow Leopard.

How to update the VBFA table without entries in VBRK and VBRP tables

I have a requirement , where the sales order , delivery happens in one SAP system say X system and billing document wil happens in other sap system say Y.
Now in this particular case , if the user want to know the billing document number in X system. what would be the solution.
Is there any possibility to update the VBFA table with invoice number of Y system (without updating the VBRK and VBRP tables).
User want to see the billing doc number from sales order in the form of document flow in X system

Without updating VBRK/VBRP table and updating VBFA is not possible, So you have to play with work arround to create one Z TABLE, so whenever system Y will create billing document with the reference of System X data you have to update Ztable with Invoice number created in System Y, The primary key will be in Z TABLE is Delivery document number to track one to one with billing doc.

With patch 17575099:R12.AP.B, Oracle has provided three public API's for updating supplier information. The new API's are the following procedures in the AP_VENDOR_PUB_PKG (appvndrb.pls) file:
Update_Vendor_Public

Update_Vendor_Contact_Public

Having the exact same problem with connecting ML and Snow Leopard machines to a Windows 8.1 machine. Oddly enough, connecting and copying to/from works perfectly from a Mavericks machine, despite the problems reported about Mavericks regarding the exact opposite. An old thread, but did you find a solution?

What iOS version are you on ? If 5+ then as I said, you can do it directly on the iPad via Settings > General > Software Update.
If you are on iOS 4 then you will need to connect to your computer's iTunes and transfer purchases and do a backup - updating to iOS 5+ from 4 or below will backup up the iPad, wipe the iPad, install iOS 5.1, and restore your backup and iTunes media content (if you don't transfer purchases and backup then that content will no longer be on the iPad after the update). i am getting this error when no other user connected to same data base and only one session is opened.
i am getting this error under below case.
there are 3 fields in a multiple record block.
field 1 will have the total amount.in field 2 i user can enter the percentage.and field 3 will be populated
as field 1 * field 2 /100. if user changes field 3 it back update the field 2 as field3 * 100/field 1.
there is a POST in when-new-record-instance.
the above error comes when i navigate to second record
and try to come bk and change the values in 1st record.
if any one faced this problem or have any idea of it
