Any problems if I hard reset on E61i
I am having troubles with some sftwr installs on a new E61i and I think I might need to do a hard reset with *#7370#. The sftwr can't seem to connect to, or find, a wifi access point. But I'm using my personal wifi connection all the time on the handset for surfing and emailing. It runs great - very fast and accurate.
I have all of my contacts / messages / email info backed up from the handset.
Will I be in danger of losing any factory settings or applications from doing a hard reset? I do not want to "bick" this brand new handset!
Any advise would be very welcome. Of course, I haven't done the reset and I won't until I have a clear understanding of the dangers.

Oh, when I mean takes everything, it doesn't take application that are in the firmware, just those you have installed yourself...

ipad mini cant update any apps or install new ones since updated to ios8.02 and now today updated to ios8.1 still cant update apps the circle just keeps spinning round, i have done a hard reset etc no joy, anybody else got same problem.

I recently had a ecard problem (can recall what number) with my palm so I did a hard reset and now it wont pas from the part were it asks to tap the center of the target. What can I do. Thank you for your help. Sincerely Jose Roberto Castaneda
Post relates to: Tungsten E2You can try this process to see if there is any debris that is stuck under the screen edge.
Take a business card or folded piece of paper. Stick it in the gap between the edge of the screen and the case. Move around the perimeter of the screen and see if you can get out any debris.
If that doesn't work, the digitizer on the device is probably defective and needs replaced.

After Hard Reset My Social Network is not working....
Due to Some problem I did Hard Reset to my C7 but now My Social network is not working.
I had reinstall the nokia software but still its not working properly.
In the Social network all the graphics are coming like picture with a cross.Something is wrong because a hard reset will never leave the TC with green LED.

Recap: Phone hanged (won't boot) and I had to do a hard reset (volume down, camera, menu, power). After that some standard apps (Nokia Store, Social and QuickOffice wouldn't install). - Solution: Just reinstall Belle from Nokia Suite, then the standard apps is installed for you. I don't now why noone that had problems after a hard reset has found this one earlier. So easy! - Details: For less hassle when the phone hangs and a hard reset is needed the best order seems to be: 1) hard reset (hold volume down, camera, meny and then press power). 2) Reinstall Belle from Nokia Suite. 3) Reinstall apps that are missing (on c: drive, apps on e: seems to survive the process for some reason).

Battery after hard reset on Lumia 800

A few days ago i did a hard reset on my Lumia 800. Since that everything was great, the only reason why i did it, to restore the default settings. After that i updated the firmware to 12070 via Zune. Since that day, my phone doesn't really know how much percentages are left from the battery. Sometimes It's showing a consant value for a long time, then suddenly begins to drain, and after a few it stops. It often happens, that it shows a value, and after an hour it shows a higher value (in percentage) than beforehand.
Today I let It to discharge to 0%, and then i pluged it to the charger. When the phone turned on, it showed me 5%.
It's lifetime havent changed so spectacularly, but i guess its a bit shorter with the same usage.
Is this behaviour normal after hard reset?
ThanksAfter update my lumia 800 is failing to recongnise earphone. It keeps playing music on speaker. If I restart my phone then for few mins it is playing music in earphone. But after few mins once again music playback is starting through speaker.
what should be the problem? will hard reset solve this problem? If yes, how to hard reset nokia lumia 800.

My iphone is neither shown in itunes nor in redsnow .. what is the problem ? It has the black screen and the sound plays when it is plugged into the computer .. I tried to hard reset but only the sound plays nothing is shown is there any solution to this ?? I have a Mac 10.6.8. Just installed Airport Express. I can't see any base stations. I did a hard reset on the Airport Express, turned off all devices, turned them back on. I see plenty of Airport networks in the neighborhood. How can I tell if I have a Mac problem or an Airport Express problem? Airport Express blinks Amber.
Obviously, I'm still using ethernet to be able to reply to this.
Alright, use the same ethernet cable to plug directly into the airport express. This will FORCE the airport utility to now see it regardless of weak signals & interference. You can set it up that way.
BTW, what is the original intent on the express? -
I had a problem with the hard disk on a 13" 2010 macbook pro. Replaced the hard disk with an Hitachi 1TB disk but when I tried to erase and format, it fails with input/output error and at other times saying unable to allocate memory. Any help much appreciated!
Zap the PRAM and Reset the SMC, then try again.

A DIFFERENT problem with Maps after Hard Reset
Was advised to hard reset my phone after it started going crazy with data which I did using the advised *#7something# method.
Nokia Maps is fortunately still there upon reset. Phew. Although when I open it it starts downloading mad amounts of data.
All my maps are gone. it appears my mass memory got kind of messed up in the reset - it deleted a lot of the data off the mass memory, but left some of it. Example - my music files all went, but the directory structure remained. My photos remained, but Nokia doesn't know when they were taken.
I have tried connecting my phone to my PC and opening maps in Ovi Suite ... and it says 'cannot find maps or voice guidance files in your device', and I appear to have no option to re add them.
There is an 'open help' link below the message ... which opens a blank help page in my browser. Useful.
Can anyone help?This has occurred the entire time I have owned the iPod. I only discovered iLyrics about 2 months ago. I don't believe iLyrics is to blame.
In general, the lyrics are in English and do not have special characters. This is a good suggestion though. I'm going to pay close attention to see if I can find any weird HTML bits showing up. It seems to occur about 70% of the time. I've assumed that it is completely random, so I'm going to pay closer attention to see if some songs work 100% of the time. Interestingly, it never goes wrong 100% of the time either. It sometimes takes 4 or 5 tries, but eventually I'll be able to scroll through the entire song.
I'm getting the impression that this is NOT a common problem.... -
Hotsync problems after hard reset
I have a Palm T/X it was turning itself on and running the battery down. I got on your fourm and found someone else was having the same
problem which the advise was to do a hard reset. I followed this advise and to a certain extent it worked, my only problem now is I can't
get the Palm to hotsync to my computer any more. Has anyone got any advise I have tried everything I can think of!!!

Say I just did a hard reset the sound comes out of the earphones upon inserting them into the jack but should I remove them from the jack for any reason the sound will continue to come out of the main speakers after re-insertion of the earphones. The sound will continue to come out of the main speakers until I hard reset again.
Demo, so it's not necessary for me to update for my wifi is bug-less. -
AirPort Extreme (Dome Style) problem after hard reset
Our AE quit responding so I did a hard reset and now the AE asks for password when trying to set up. Enter "public" as stated in instructions and receive "unknown error (-6753)" Now I can't change any settings on it and can't use it until I change settings. I have reset this unit many times and have never had a problem. I hope it hasn't cratered...the new ones don't work on dial-up...this one was perfect!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated. try this:
.Take a note of the IP address that is displayed for the AEBS.
.On your PC, go to Control Panel and open Network Connections.
.Select the Wireless Network Connection and select the Internet Protocols (TCP/IP) properties.
.Select "Use the following address" and enter an address in the same subnet as your AEBS (offset the AEBS address by 1 - if your router is 10.0.1.1 enter 10.1.1.2 as your laptop's address).
.Use the default subnet mask
.Enter the router's IP address as your "Default Gateway"
Close your your network settings windows and you should now be able to download the config of your router. Update your config to what you want it to be and reload the router.
Once it comes back to life, go through the above again and set your laptop to accept addresses via DHCP (select "Obtain IP address automatically").
You should be good to go now and be able to manage the AEBS normally.
