Any reasons for not upgrading to AP2.0

Does anyone have any real complaints or reasons not to upgrade to AP2.0 from AP1.5.6?
Apart from the fact that here in the UK the upgrade isn't available until March!!
Many thanks
Mark

If you're using any kind of network storage, don't upgrade until you find another way to work. You will lose access to your libraries. AP 2.0 has the ability to identify network storage and block access to your library through error messages. It only allows the library to be on local drives.

    Reset the device, restart the device, try downloading any other app.

  • CAD "Select reason for not ready" not appearing for some agents? Please help!

    Hi all,
    I have some users who when they click on 'Not Ready' in CAD (Cisco Agent Desktop) - they are not presented with the 'Select Reason for Not Ready' dialog box - it just goes straight to Not Ready.
    I have searched high and low but have not found any suitable results (maybe I'm doing it all wrong?).
    Anyway - we use CUCM

    Ahhhh, spot on.

  • Animated zoom in CS5 - any reason for it?

    in CS5 the zoom function is much different than CS3 - very distracting. i have the animated zoom checked off but open GL on basic with anti-alias paths off so i can see the pen tool. Is there any reason for this new zoom? i dont see the point and its just annoying - not trying to be a complainer but just wondering why its there. Thanks.

    not sure what you mean by interactivly but when i zoom by command + and - it gives me this jerky zoom action. not smooth to me. is this necessary b/c of open GL? i would turn it off b/c i dont use flick panning etc but i need to see my paths

  • OWS-00102 Reason for not creating a custom Java type: simple or mixed conte

    Hi ,
    I am generating the java proxies from a WSDL file in Jdeveloper and I am getting the below warning.
    WARNING: OWS-00102 Mapped {http://xmlns.fmr.com/systems/dev/aar/requests}ViewRequestStatusResult to javax.xml.soap.SOAPElement ViewRequestStatusResult. Reason for not creating a custom Java type: simple or mixed content is not supported.
    I have tried using Jpub as well, but it does not work as well.
    I am very new to JAVA and It seems some java code needs to be created. can any one please help me how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Vineet

    var cResponse = app.response({
    cQuestion: "Enter the section number to appear in the stamp.",
    cTitle: "Section Number",
    cLabel: "Section Number:"
    if (cResponse == null) {
    event.value = '*INVALID*";
    else
    event.value = cResponse;
    You can only remove the 'Warning JavaScirpt" is by creating a special application folder script for the 'app.response' method that uses the 'trustedFuncton' to suppress this security warning. Then in you form, you will need to test for this function and either issue a warning about the missing function or run the 'app.response' code and live with the warning. Each system will need the special application folder script installed on it.

  • Play count question.   I have about 500 songs in my library that I know have played at least once...probably just once.  Although there is a "last played" date listed there is no number in the play count column.   Any reason for this?  thx

    I have about 500 songs in my library that have played one time.   Although a "last date played" date is noted, there is no number in the play count column.  This only happens some times.   Any reason for this, and can it be corrected?  thx

    Thanks, but the play count is not incrementing only on the very first play.  All subsequent plays are fine.  Meaning the play counts for these particular tracks are always one play short.  I double-checked some of the tracks in question and I have not shortened, or stopped them early.

  • HT1386 i can't sync some selected movies i bought in iTunes store. any reason for this please/

    I can't sync some selected movies i bought in iTunes store. Any reason for this and help please?

    I assume they are,  but I am not completely certain.  I purchased the songs from iTunes, so I would be surprised if they are in a format that is not playable by the Touch.
    How do I check whether the format is playable?
    Thanks,

  • Is it a mistake for not upgrading the hard disk of new iMac to 1TB Fushion Drive

    I have just bought a new iMac 27" in Fortress in HK for Video editing by Final Cut Pro X and Motion 5, may be After Effect later. I am thinking if I have made a mistake for not upgrading the driver to Fushion Drive. The followings are my spec:
    Intel qual core-i7 3.4 GHz
    16 GB RAM
    1TB SATA
    GTX 680 MX
    Because my budget was within HKD 20,000, so I am considering if my decision for the upgrades were correct for video editing. To be honest, I really want to try Fushion Drive

    I don't think it is a mistake. The Fuse Drive is a combination of both a Real SSD and a spinning mechanical hard drive. With that system if either drive fails you lose all your data.
    There have been many articles on how to Make a Fuse drive, when there is both an SSD and Spinner installed in the system, and how to Break one up so you can use both drive independently, SSD and spinning drive as 2 separate drives.
    The reason Apple came up with this system is for people that have no concept of how to use 2 separate disks in their systems. It allows them to still have the speed of a SSD along with the storage capacity of the large spinning hard drive without knowing how and where to store the data they have or may accumulate over the life of the system.
    Also the way Apple want the user, almost Forces users, to store there files is in the User area that is located on the Boot drive. That will fill up a SSD very fast (depending on how much data the user or users have).
    It does have overhead that will slow the system down compared to a system with independently accessed SSD and spinners.
    Not sure what model iMac you bought as I didn't think the newest 27 inchers were out yet. But you should be able to add your own SSD so you can use it for the OS and program files and store your data on the mechanical, spinning, hard drive. And you can do that for much less them what Apple charges for a SSD. You could also combine them into a Fuse drive if you like. Just do a Google search for "Make Fuse Drive".

  • Hello, I have an iPad Air. I cannot download adobe flash. Any reason for this? Thanks

    Hello, I have an iPad Air. I cannot download adobe flash. Any reason for this? Thanks

    No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
    Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
    Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
    So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.
    Here is Steve Jobs official comment on his momentous decision to omit Flash from iDevices: Steve Jobs on Flash.
    Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash. Adobe is not providing Flash for Apple iOS devices, and they no longer provide Flash for any other cellular phones. Flash is officially gone.
    Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.
    A sample of Apps that can display some Flash content:
      1. Puffin
      2. SkyFire
      3. Photon Flash
      4. Browse2Go
      5. Swifter
    Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that."
    Download the Facebook app from the iTunes Store. Sign in with your Facebook ID and Password and you won't require flash to play videos.

  • Any reason to not use MBP's SSD?

    Is there any reason to not go with the SSD that comes with a MBP? Seems there isn't much in savings and performance over equivalent (after market) drives. I'm just wondering if it is really worth it...given Apple won't support it.

    I have the more expensive variety of MacBook Air, with the small SSD drive. I have to say, I sold my previous MacBook Pro because it was too bulky to carry around all day and use in planes/trains, but I wasn't ready for the tremendous increase in startup speed I got in an otherwise weaker machine! The MBP was from last June, the 17", 2.8 GHz, 4 GB of RAM, and NVIDIA 9600M of VRAM.
    Well, the allegedly weaker MacBook Air beats that MBP hands down for read times, i.e. at startup and firing up apps. All of this because of the SSD (vs. the pathetic stock 5,400 RPM HDD in the MBP).
    This was a revelation, and I will, from now on, shell out the money to never again use a spin-drive in a laptop. No more sluggishness.

  • Frustrated with HP lame reason for not repairing a keyboard issue

    I recently called HP about a keyboard issue, where a the backspace key popped up and became detactched from the keyboard because the small latch broke under normal use. HP asked me to send the notebook back to them for replacement of the entire keyboard. When it got there, the case manager called back to tell me that they would not fix the keyboard because there was evidence of something being spilled on it. Although I don't recall any major spill on the keyboard I didn't deny that coffee drops may have reached the keyboard, nontheless that is not their concern and does not relate in anyway to the problem I resported to them. Yet HP refused to replace the keyboard and sent back as is. I must mention that the machine is functional and the spill has no effect on the operation of the machine. My frustration is with the broken key which affected my use of the keyboard.
    In spite of my appeal to the case manager and customer support, they insisted that it's against their policy to fix the keyboard because of the spill evidence on the keyboard.
    I am wondering if anyone else had a similar experience with HP service and particulary how they handled my service call. I am not accepting HP's lame reason for not fixing my keyboard and I was not happy I could nothing about it. I however use several HP products in my SOHO environment and this support incident left me with a bad experience.

  • Reason for not allowing static declarations inside an inner class

    Is the reason for not allowing static declarations inside an inner class is due to the fact that it can never be accessed at a class level as the outer class has to create an instance of the inner class and any attributes/methods of the inner class has to be accessed through that.
    Typically, an instance (non-static) variable can never be accessed in a statement or expression inside a static context but the class variable can be accessed inside a non-static context. Given this, shouldnt the static declarations be allowed inside an inner class?
    Correct me if my understanding is wrong.
    Thanks

    I still couldnt get it clearly. Why i cant i have a static value ( variable ) for all the instances of the inner class irrespective of its enclosing instances of it ( i.e outer class instances). Say in this example below,
    class Outer
    static int i = 0;
    public Inner inner = new Inner();
    class Inner // inner class ( non-static nested class )
    int j = 0;
    static final int k = 2; // compile time constants are allowed
    // ininner class
    public void m1()
    j++;
    System.out.println("j is " + j);
    i++
    System.out.println("i is " + i);
    public static void main(String[] arg)
    Outer outer1 = new Outer();
    outer1.inner.m1(); // j will be 1 & i will be 1
    Outer outer2 = new Outer();
    outer2.inner.m1() // j will be 1 again & i will be 2. But I would
    // want j to be 2. Why is this not allowed?
    Looks like something missing..

  • Reason for not choosing Secure Keyboard Entry?

    I use Terminal.app regularly on Mac OS 10.5. It has a menu item in the application menu, Secure Keyboard Entry. Would there ever be any reason for _not_ choosing Secure Keyboard Entry?

    Yes, there can be reasons to not enable that setting.

  • Iphone alarm doesn't work when the phone is charging but works fine when it is not plugged in, any reason for this?

    Recently my alarm hasn't been going off on my phone when it is plugged into the charger. This is a problem as i have work most mornings and have been late. When it is not plugged in the alarm works. I know it would mae sense to charge it before i go to sleep, take it off the charger, set the alarm then wake up but was just wondering if there was any reason why I might be experiencing this issue?
    Cheers

    This is something peculiar, normally that doesn't work that way
    when did this happen? if it just happened, then something probably went wrong with either the software or the hardware
    do charge the proper way, and see if it happens again
    or try completely draining the battery, and charge it to 100% and see if its gonna solve the issue with the alarm
