Any restrictions on fiddling with manifest or annotations file?

I'm working to download annotations and source documents together from a digital library, and set them up in DE for review by readers. This involves downloading the XML annotations file, the PDF source file, and a constructed manifest file (or editing the existing manifest file) to get DE to see the relationships. Are there any restrictions in DE that would prevent me doing this, assuming I get the XML files right?

We have left the both the annotations and manifest file format private and undocumented because we are not yet finished tinkering with them and fully expect there to be changes and especially additions as we go forward (this is also the answer to your #pdfloc tag question - private and undocumented on purpose, right now). Any changes you make to the manifest and annotation will be completely unsupported - we aren't going to go out of our way to disable what you've done, but we aren't going to test against it either.

Problems with Manifest building jar file

Hello all,
i try to deploy my application in a jar file. I also have some libs to deploy with my application. My app.jar and my lib.jar are in the same directory. My Manifest looks like:
Manifest-Version: 1.0
Main-Class: parser.Parser
Class-Path: lib.jar
Class-Path: ...Still get the error: NoClassDefFoundError.
Main Class is found but not my lib. Can somebody help?

Got a new 4s today. there is no sound at all. not a whisper. there is with headphones but none without. ive tried everything i can think of, reset, fiddle with the sound settings etc but nothing. Any ideas please?

Check the mute switch. It is located just above the volume controls. If it is displaying orange, it is on, flip it in the other direction to turn it off.

In addition, classic capture mode does not support DDL that involves password-based column encryption, such as:

Hi,
Yes OCCI can be used to access Oracle database from Tuxedo. If you want Tuxedo to manage transactions for you then you need to follow essentially the same approach as in using OCI or Embedded SQL. Since you are accessing a resource manager, you will need to define an OPENINFO string in the Tuxedo RM file located in the udataobj directory of the Tuxedo installation. Likewise you will need to build an RM specific TMS for the Oracle Database and specify the name of the RM entry in the buildtms and buildserver commands with the -r switch.
Before going into a step by step set of instructions, can you describe what you know about Tuxedo and OCCI? Have you built Tuxedo servers before and have they accessed a resource manager?

Depeding on your version of iPhoto: On the left (iPhoto 11) or right (earlier versions) of the lower frame of the iPhoto Window you'll see a slider. Drag it left.

i have some 10 fields as primary key in a DB table and length exceeds 120 and getting a warning.
Please let me know will there be any problems in future with respect to the same?

Well actually there are constraints like
Total of internal lengths of all primary key columns        1024 Bytes
Number of primary key columns per table                     512

Can we restrict a formula with other characteristics?

Hello all,
I am using a structure in rows in my query designer. I have a formula in that structure now I a want to restrict that formula with particular fund ranges.
Also one option that I am thinking is can I create the same formula in the key figures section ( but the formula has characteristics in it and i tried but it does not let me) has anyone done that.
Can we do any of that or is there any other way of doing it.

This what my query looks like ...i have a KYF structure in cloumns which has 4-5 restricted key figures.
Then i have manually created a new structure in rows, because the client requirement is very very specific, most of the lines in my rows structure are like nodes of hierarchy and sometimes that node is restricted more by some char. now when i get at the bottom 5 lines i need to create a formula (revnuesexpensetrasnfers) and restrict that by fund ranges. and this object should be added to another selection (hierarchy node) which evetually will get what client wants.
So how can I do it can you tell

Problem with contents of annotation

I have problem with JS and annotations in new Acrobat XI reader. My script have to read annotations contents but in XI annotation.contents is always undefined. I listed all object properties and I can't find property with correct contents. I don't see any changes in documentation. Should work.

This is quite old scripts which stopped working, works fine on older versions up to Acrobat Pro 10.1.1
Now I'm testing it on 11.0.3 and doesn't work.
This simple test function works on Pro 10.1.1 and shows contents, on XI shows "undefined"

Is there any restriction on no of entries in Select-option-low ? I have a select option which has 22 thousand entries and the select query is thrwoing a dump.
Any inputs ?

Hi Ankur,
1. i had faced same problem.
2. Virtually the limit in SELECT-OPTION low
   is not the problem.
3. The problem is with SQL query and database limit.
4. The R/3 system generates final database query
   in the form of (for select option)
   FIELD IN ('ABC','DEF','XYZ',........'')
5. Now Oracle/SqlServer
   has limit of THESE IN VALUES.
   limit is something in 2500 approx.
6. So your approach will not work
using IN.
   It will always give error when
   entries are more.
7. SOLUTION which i did.
   1. First select all appropriate records from
      master table in your itab
     (without using IN select option clause)
2. After that use this concept.
     Loop at ITAB.
     If Itab-Field in SelectOption.
     Else.
     DELETE ITAB.
     ENDIF.
The above will take care for any number of records.

There is any restriction on max quantity of queues?

Hi, i work in a large gps tracking company.
We are rebuilding our software and looking into msmq to storage the coordinates to be processed.
The problem is, each tracker unit need to be isolated in on queue and we have 500k+ trackers online, so, we need tons of queues.
Im worried about performance.
Does msmq has any restriction on max quantity of queues?
How much memory each queue consume when they are idle and when have connections? (beanstalk +/- 300bytes, rabbitmq 30kb,...)
There is any way to use msmq in cluster?
Didnt found anything on msdn about this.

By default value is 4MB for each queue and 1GB for the entire queue. The queue quota can be changed using MQSetQueueProperties()
with PropId PROPID_Q_QUOTA

Has anyone had any luck compressing videos with resolutions higher than 1080?

Everytime I try, it fails instantly. Is this not allowed in Compressor 4? It was possible in Compressor 3.

I have a 4K video that I'd like to compress using H.264 or X.264 and restrict the data rate.
Here are some details of the video (created in Motion) I am trying to compress:
DIMENSIONS: 4096 x 2048
FORMAT: H.264
FPS: 24
DATA SIZE: 53.2 MB
DATA RATE: 52.03 MB
and here are settings that I would like to compress it with using Compressor 4.0.4:
CODEC: H.264 or X.264 (both fail)
FRAME RATE: current
KEY FRAMES: Automatic
DATA RATE: Restricted to 7000 kbits/sec (setting it to automatic or any other data rate also fails)
QUALITY: Best
HEIGHT AND WIDTH: 100% of source
I have been able to get a successful compression with this 4K video file using ProRes 422, so that leads me to think this is a codec problem, not a Compressor application problem. Furthermore, I have had the same problem just using Quicktime 7 to export a video with these settings, I get the same failed results.
In Compressor it gives me the message Failed: Quicktime Error: -108
and in Quicktime 7 it gives me the message Failed: qKitErrorCatchAll (-6662)
So, if you had any suggestions about a better codec to use, one that allows me to restrict the data rate on higher than 1080 video files, it would be much appreciated.

We have a App level shared lib which does all the JPA related query for an app. And each app can utilize the share lib to get the JPA related query to be done.
For scoping the JPA between App . We have created EMF for each app.
When one app run and does any JPA related action it works fine , but when we try to run second app we are seeing the following error when trying to do JPA specific action .

This is a class loader issue, somehow you have deployed the same classes in two places, so have two different versions of the classes.
How, exactly have you deployed things, where are your domain classes?
The issues is most likely that,
Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("SpacesReposPUnit");
will always return the same factory once it has been deployed.
If you pass a properties map to createEntityManagerFactory and set the property "eclipselink.session-name" to a unique value, then you should get a new factory.
