Any Ringtone creator App that lets me use tones without iTunes sync?

Theres got to be one...Im trying to create a Mortal KOmbat Ringtone, yes from the movie...the one that screams "Mortal Kombat" then starts playing the techno beat, actusly thats exactly what i have in mind when my ringtone goes off...im far away from home so i cant sync through iTunes...need that app!

Why does Apple make it soo difficult...everything we do with the iPhone is always tied with iTunes...thats Apple for ya...oh well back to the old fashion way

Found an app that lets you use PS Touch in Portrait.

I found an app called "GMD Smart Rotate" that lets you use PS Touch in Portrait orientation, even with the tablet upside down( good for some covers the are hinged on the botttom). The app is supposed to use your front facing camera to detect your eyes to tell whether you are holding the tablet horizontally or vertically(good for when lying down and looking up at the tablet). Although I could not get this main feature to work, the app also has the ability to force an app into landscape or portrait even if it was not programmed too. I tested it with Touch and it seems to work fine. All the menus and tools are still accessible and I have not found any problems so far. It also has a feature like smart stay on samsung devices(paid version). The app is availible in the Play Store. There is a free and paid version.
I'm currentely only using the free version on a Galaxy Note 10.1 running ICS. Another problem checked off my issues with PS Touch list. Now if only they added .psd layer support and more brushes I'll be set.

Any good note taking apps that don't use the cloud to sync to PC?

I'm looking for a note taking app that has an iPad client and a PC client that also acts as a server. I want to be able to keep my ipad notes in sync with my PC notes for work without using any cloud-like services. My iPad is connected to the same corporate network as my PC.
Any suggestions? I'm not fussed about special features like handwriting, images, colours, formatting, etc. folders and tags would be nice though.

No, I don't sync via iTunes any more, but the option is clearly still there, with a warning about what might happen if I turn it on.

Try rebooting the device by pressing and holding the on/off and home buttons simultaneously until the screen goes blank and you see the apple logo. It should take about 10-15 seconds to reboot.

IPad Photo App that can be used to display photos

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows if there's a iPad Photo Application that will allow me to show pictures of my products to a customer instead of using a big bulky workbook. The products would be listed in different categories. Has anyone seen something like this?

Are you brand new to the iPad? The Photos App that comes on the iPad will do that for you. That is exactly what it is - a photo viewing app.
However, you will have to import photos from your computer to your iPad when you sync via iTunes. If you are a new Mac user, you can import photos onto your Mac in iPhoto. You can create albums or events in order to organize the photos before you sync to your computer. The iPad Photos app will not allow you to organize directly on the iPad so that's why you need to organize and categorize the photos before you sync. You can copy the photos to your computer from a flash drive, external hard drive or from your camera with a USB connection that virtually all point and shoot cameras come with when you buy them.
If you are a PC user, there are applications that will do the same thing as iPhoto ... Picasa? I don't know much about PC software but you can do a search and see what's out there.
There are any number of apps in the app store for use with photos, so you can go there and do a search as well and see if there is an app that let's you organize right on the iPad.
I apologize if I am talking down to you and you are aware of this. I merely interpreted your question as a beginner's query. Maybe I am missing your point ...?

Now today i went to make another one and it has been processing for two hours now. I just took the battery out to reboot it and see if that would help. How can i prevent this from happening again?

I got the splitter, (see link below), but the mic does not seem to work. Apparently, there's a difference between a mic port and a line-in port. Mic ports are powered by the computer, line-in ports are not. They expect a powered signal to come from the input device. The iMac has a line-in port.
I downloaded an app called Line-in that is supposed to give back the ability to use unpowered mics with Macs that lost the abiliy after a system update. It did not work for me. I guess my iMac never had the ability to use unpowered mics.
So I ordered the USB Stereo Audio Adapter below. It's basically a sound card that plugs into a USB port and will work with an unpowered mic. It has not arrived yet. I'll let you know how it goes.

Does this mean we can no longer submit AIR based apps???

For what it’s worth, we have submitted three apps to Samsung, and the combined total of the three for the last month is about half of the downloads for just the worst of the three in iTunes. So, no great loss to not submit to Samsung.
It will affect friends of mine though, who are doing apps in conjunction with Samsung themselves. I imagine they will need to continue to submit to the Samsung store!

Are you now using a different username from the one you used prior to migrating? If so that is the reason for the problem. You might, then, give this a try:
To fix Home folder permissions
Open the Terminal application in the Utilities folder. At the command line prompt enter or paste the following command line:
sudo chown -R `id -un`:`id -gn` ~
Press RETURN. You will be prompted to enter your admin password which will not be echoed.

The screen capture is not a good solution because most articles are longer than the screen and require scrolling. I don't know of any way to do this at present. Some web articles have a "print" option which optimizes the article's format for printing, at which point instead of printing, you can opt to save the article as a pdf. But for now, this is only doable on a desktop. Perhaps if printing becomes available for the iPad, this might work.
