Any roadmap to have to Lync client for Blackberry 10?

...with full feature support of course (phone, video, presence,...).
I know there are still some challenges like at current time with BB10 OS (like you must keep you app in an active frame), but these limitations will soon go away with the new OS version (http://devblog.blackberry.com/2013/05/blackberry-jam-headless-invoke/?CPID=E10C020,
new Background Services framework which allows developers to bundle a separate process with their application to run in the background without a UI)
The Lync for Mac version still lacks of some critical phone features not being implemented (delegate support, team-call group members, wireless QoS tagging 802.11e,...)

Hi,
There is currently no Lync client available for Blackberry (RIM) devices. Sorry to say I also did not find any roadmap about lync for Blackberry 10.

  • Direct Reports not showing in Lync Clients for certain users in a pool

Hello guys, I am having issue with some users not being able to see direct reports of their managers in lync clients. Direct reports correctly shown in AD and outlook, but not in Lync. I have two paired lync pools. This issue is happening to users situated
within a pool. If I moved the manager to second pool, then users will see his direct reports. Does anyone knows how to fix this issue?  Attached is sample.

    Hi dareadepoju,
This information is from AD, you can try synchronizing the information manually.
Delete the .slabs file from the file share sitting on 000000000\000000000 folder and then run Update-CSUserDatabase and after 5 minutes, run Update-CsAddressBook.
    The folder path:
    X:\share\1-WebServices-1\ABfiles\000000000\000000000\
    Best regards,

  • Microsoft Lync Client for Playbook ???

    Hello,
since some days I use a Microsoft Lync Client on my BB Torch and it works quite well.
Now I'm interesting if it's available for my Playbook too.
    Does anybody know ?

I would also like this.  I actually tried converting the Lync 2010 android app to a bar file and signed it, but it doesn't do anything other than the splash screen and eventually the android player asks if I want to force close it or wait as it doesn't nothing else.

  • HTML Email Client for Blackberry

    Hello,
Forgive me if my question seems elementary, but I am new to the forum and to use of the Blackberry.  I currently have an 8830 World Edition phone and have configure on POP email address on the device.  I can access my emails successfully.  However, if I receive an email that contains any sort of Internet type code (HTML, Java, Javascript, etc), the code does not translate and I only recieve the actual code in the email.  It is unformatted.  I tried to download a couple of so-called HTML email clients from Handango, however they seem to be limited.  I am thinking that there should be a client or a configuration for the Blackberry that would allow me to see Internet related emails formatted as intended.  Anyone run into this issue or have any suggestions?  I am deperately looking for a solution.  Thanks in advance for your input.

As you mentioned you can't view HTML formatting in your email you might be running on BIS 2.4. RIM recently introduced BIS 2.5 which supports HTML email view for its BIS customers. But this yet to be implemented for all the carriers as its been done phase by phase. For getting HTML view you also need to have device OS 4.5 (4.3 for 8110). So you're not far away from your wish!!! But can also have 3rd party software which can do the same trick for you but again these are not free.

  • Windows Remote Desktop Client for Blackberry

    Hello,
Could any please provide a list of recommended Windows Remote Desktop (RDP) client software for Blackberry.
I have tried TSMobiles. I am looking for client-only solution.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Do you have RD gateway in your network?
Please check if there is any error in the remote desktop service log both on client and server sides. You can find the log under Applications and Services logs – Microsoft – Windows – TerminalServices.

  • Any way to have a SOCKS proxy for mobile data ?

    Hi,
I have set up a SOCKS proxy on WiFi, works great. Auto proxy pointed to file:///private/var/root/proxy.pac. Now I want to use the same .pac file for 3G data. Anyone know how/if I can do this ? I tried many different ways with iPhone Configuration Utility to no avail. Can only get HTTP proxy working.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,
There is no real good / easy and generic way to do this. It's a HTML/CSS issue not an HTML DB specific issue.
You could hardcode a table with your fixed width headings display it over your tabular form then wrap your tabular form in a div with a style attribute of style="height:600px;overflow:auto;"
One of these days the browsers will figure out how to take care of scrolling on a tbody but I haven't seen it yet.

  • Is there any possibility to have iTunes U available for Mac also ?

Someone may tell me if apple is making an iTunes U app for MacBook Pro also ?
    Thanks !

Apple has not said anything about plans for a separate iTunes U app for computers. Until such time as they do, if ever, you need to use ITunes.
    Regards.

  • Any Free POP3 or IMAP Email Clients Available for Blackberry

Other than the default, native BB email client, and Gmail, are there any mail clients for Blackberry out there?
    Just a few criteria...
    Free
    Address Book
    Send and Receive

Have you searched around, there are a couple, I don't know if they fit ALL of your criteria, you may not get all that you want for free.
You are in a very small minority of those that need such an app.

I HAVE 29 DAYS LEFT FOR MY ACC BUT I CANT CREATE A VM BECAUSE IT SAYS IT HAS BEEN DISABLE ANY PROBLEM PLEASE
That's nice. Tomorrow you will have 28 days.
What kind of ACC do you have? Nobody that reads posts is omnipotent or has ESP or can read your mind.
Also if you want to converse in English then you need to learn English to the point that you can actually write constructive sentences and paragraphs in English including the proper use of Upper Case, Lower Case and punctuation to some degree.
Otherwise write in your own language on a translator like google translate and paste the translation into your post.
Also you would notice that this forum was supposed to be retired 8/22/2008 if you'd read the stickies in it before posting to it. Which I would suppose is why almost all questions in it go unanswered.

  • WWW Location of the Novell Client for XP supporting IP Gateway Services

When connecting Windows XP workstations to the SBS 6.0 server through the
Novell Client 4.9SP1a for Windows XP, there are no services within 4.9
for IP Gateway included. As many of you know, by using BorderManager as
the Firewall/NAT/IP/IPX Gateway to access the Internet, all workstations
accessing the Internet need the IP Gateway service installed with the
client. The Novell Client CD-ROM shipped with the Novell SBS 6.0 media
has clients for Windows NT/2000 (outdated) but none are compatible for
Windows XP (it appears that Novell had not updated their Novell SBS 6.0
media since they started shipping it). In addition, the online
documentation included with the media is outdated (e.g. BorderManager 3.6
docs for BorderManager 3.7 being shipped) and do not mention anything
about configuring Windows XP clients for Novell IP Gateway services.
I have thoroughly looked within Novell's Support site the past few weeks
    for:
+ The original Novell Client 4.9 (prior to support packs) to see if that
version of the client has IP Gateway services included (file not found or
    listed).
+ Previous Novell Clients for Windows XP to see if those versions support
IP Gateway services. (Support Pack versions only are listed, but no
original versions, and do not contain Novell IP Gateway services).
+ Any instructions or tips for configuring the Novell IP Gateway services
within the Novell Client 4.9 or earlier versions for Windows XP(documents
    are non-existent).
All of the above leads the following question:
Can someone please direct me to the location to where the proper
Novell Client for Windows XP supporting Novell IP Gateway services?
Since Windows XP has been around for a few years now, one would think
Novell would have developed a client for it that possesses Novell IP
Gateway services by now to be used with BorderManager. Correct? If so,
where is it? In addition, one would think Novell would include the media
supporting the current software they are shipping, not outdated ones.
(Or at least, ensure their outsourced sales services are doing so.) In
addition, one would also think Novell would at least provide the
necessary tools/files necessary to at least to have the ability to
install their products out of the box - instead of forcing their
consumers to purchase unnecessary additional support services for
something they should have included within their media package or website
    at the start.
Nevertheless, I appreciate any input where to find the appropriate Novell
Client for Windows XP supporting Novell IP Gateway services.
    Thanks,
    EricV

This is simply not correct. Novell has not been providing IP gateway
functionality within Client32 for a long time, because it is not needed,
    and it had serious limitations.
I haven't had a client using IP Gateway for many years now, and I have a
    *lot* of BorderManager clients.
The alternative to IP Gateways is a combination of proxies and NAT w/filter
    exceptions.

  • Thin clients for both Tarantella and Citrix

What thin clients out there (hardware) supports Tarantella over the

Currently many of the users in my organization have a laptop at home and a

Wyse doesn't seem to support both Tarantella and Citrix - who does?

  • Deploying full Lync client when basic has already been deployed

    Hello all,
I have recently purchased licensing for the full Lync client for my userbase. I have already deployed the Lync basic client. Has anyone done the full deployment after the basic? Will the full client remove/update the basic or will I have 2 versions installed?
If so, how can I remove the basic client from the command line as part of the full client installation?
    Thanks!

As i tested in my lab. These two version can be installed on the same computer.
But when I install Office 2013, i can't find Lync basic client in All program.
Type Lync basic 2013 in Search programs and files field, the full client starts.
After i uninstall Office 2013, i type Lync Lync basic 2013 in Search programs and files field, Lync basic client starts.
