Any rules for how long a creditor can wait to report a delinquincy?

I have been working very hard for years to rebuild my credit. I was getting close to the  700 mark, as my mess ups as a teenager rolled off. Then, two weeks ago, a medical debt popped up from 2012. Now, in 2012 I had already started trying to repair my credit, so I am actually fairly sure I paid the bill. I just have no clue how to prove that three years later. Are there any rules that dictate the time they have to report this? How do I know it is worth disputing?

No. The FCRA only requires that information reported must not knowingly be inaccurate. There are no requirements that they must report, or how long after the fact they must report. What they must report is the month and year that the delinquency occured, as the CRA needs that date to assess when they must exclude the delinquency from credit reports they issue.

I'm going to be out of the country for a few weeks.  I have an iPhone 4s.  Can I put an unavailable message as a response to text messages so people who are texting me will know that I am unavailable and for how long?

No. Sorry. Check with your carrier. Perhaps they offer such a service.

  • Is there a time limit for how long a free form can be used/accessed?

Is there a time limit for how long a free form that is created can be used/accessed, or is it soely dependent upon when the 50 respondent max has been reached?  I am creating a form now, that will likely be distributed in early January, and I want it to be accessible through the end of June, 2013.  (I am simply using the option to create a single form for free- not the 30-day trial).

There is no time limit. The limit is the 50 responses.

  • HT5622 I keep getting a pop up about signing into an Icloud account. It won't take the password. I tried to log in on pc and sign in and screwed up on my security questions and it's kicked me out.. how long til I can try again?

I am in iphone **** or better icloud ****. When I try to go ointo settings on the phone a signin prompt pops up continuously with one apple id. I think i've made it that i have a separate icloud and apple id. I am trying to delete the icloud id. I made all the passwords the same so that there should be no problem but the phone won't still take the password. So when i went in again, looking to see if I could delete the icloud, i screwed up answering my security questions and am now unable to enter that icloud id. How long til I can again? Secondly, since the phone won't accept any password, I have tried to delete it. When I do that, it come up with a request for that same password to shut of the locator service. What the heck? I'm frustrated. I just can't get the hang of apple software and itunes seems to be just as bad for me.  Any suggestions appreciated ( aside from stomping on it, I've considered it). Tried to take the battery out but not for me, mere mortal, thought might reset. Got sim card out. Whooopeeee.

It sounds like you have the Find my iphone Activation lock for sure. Go to www.icloud.com/find and see if you put in that Apple ID that is coming up and yoru password to see if you are able to sign into the account that way to turn it off. If you are unable to, you will have to contact AppleCare by phone (chat cannot handle account lock outs or forgotten password due to not being able to verify your identity) and see if they can reset it. And are you sure the Apple ID that is coming up yours?

  • What SQL Server Agent jobs are currently running and for how long

Is there a way to tell what SQL Server Agent jobs are currently running and for how long?  View history isn't working in my case because it's only showing completed jobs.  John Schroeder

You can use the "Job Activity Monitor" for doing this.  Do the following steps. It will open up the Job Activity Monitor.
    1.    In Object Explorer, connect to an instance of the SQL Server Database Engine, and then expand that instance.
    2.    Expand SQL Server Agent.
    3.    Right-click Job Activity Monitor and click View Job Activity.
    4.    In the Job Activity Monitor, you can view details about each job that is defined for this server.
In Job Activity Monitor page, we have column called Status. It will indicate whether job is executing or idle. Last Run column will give you the last invocation time of this job.

  • Minimum Voltage for how long?

Minimum Voltage for how long b/4 it f's something up?
I just found that my V-core is only 1.28v. And it has to be due to the 12 volt only being 12A I hadn't noticed that this was bad until I ran Sandra. I can't get it over that mark even by cranking it up in the bios. What should the amps be? I know I have read all the best power supplies posts but I gather that the 12v is for the processor so that should be the highest. But any damage at my current voltage? I have been running it for a week.

did you plug in both mobo plugs. the small 4 pin is also a 12v supply.
if the psu had two main leads you spread out the load on both leads to your drives fans etc.
look on the back of you psu(or top there should be a sticker with max loads etc what does that say, while your at it, check to make sure red 115V/220V swithch is is right spot ie..115 vfor us
the 12A was on label? under what? input current
I have a compusa 600W precision power, which i am sure is a cheapo unit
    but it has 30A +5v..25A+3.3v..28A..+12v...6A-12v...6A -12v..2A+5vsb
+3,+5+12 max combined load is 570W input current 11A for 115v
12a is way low I think the cpu is @9amps by its self.
    you have 3 hd and 2 dvd/cd's
...I would run to the store and get a new psu pronto.
I have read underpowering can damage also, but not as bad as overpowering.
    But broke is broke

  • I have a Macbook Pro 15" that is three and a half years old.  Although it has slowed a bit, it still runs well and runs every program I need. Any tips for how to keep this old computer running well and in good health?

I have a Macbook Pro 15" that is three and a half years old.  Although it has slowed a bit, it still runs well and runs every program I need. Any tips for how to keep this old computer running well and in good health?
I have a 250 gig drive and try to keep at least 100 gigs unused at all times, 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM memory, back up with Time Machine and CrashPlan, and have OS X 10.7.3.
This was my first Mac since an old Apple II GS.  After that I used PC's and got really good at reformatting, replacing drives, reinstalling, defragging, resolving software conflicts, etc.  Since switching back to Macs (five in my extended family now), I haven't had to do any of those things. So, although, the cost is three times as much, the aggrevation has been ten times less.
I'm retired and living on a fixed income and would therefore like to keep this computer running as opposed to constatntly upgrading.
    That said, any tips?
    Thanks
It does have a crack on the left of the screen case about 3/4'' up from the bottom.  I've posted that as another question.

Kappy's Personal Suggestions for OS X Maintenance
For disk repairs use Disk Utility.  For situations DU cannot handle the best third-party utilities are: Disk Warrior;  DW only fixes problems with the disk directory, but most disk problems are caused by directory corruption; Disk Warrior 4.x is now Intel Mac compatible. Drive Genius provides additional tools not found in Disk Warrior.  Versions 1.5.1 and later are Intel Mac compatible.
OS X performs certain maintenance functions that are scheduled to occur on a daily, weekly, or monthly period. The maintenance scripts run in the early AM only if the computer is turned on 24/7 (no sleep.) If this isn't the case, then an excellent solution is to download and install a shareware utility such as Macaroni, JAW PseudoAnacron, or Anacron that will automate the maintenance activity regardless of whether the computer is turned off or asleep.  Dependence upon third-party utilities to run the periodic maintenance scripts was significantly reduced since Tiger.  These utilities have limited or no functionality with Snow Leopard or Lion and should not be installed.
OS X automatically defragments files less than 20 MBs in size, so unless you have a disk full of very large files there's little need for defragmenting the hard drive. As for virus protection there are few if any such animals affecting OS X. You can protect the computer easily using the freeware Open Source virus protection software ClamXAV. Personally I would avoid most commercial anti-virus software because of their potential for causing problems. For more about malware see Macintosh Virus Guide.
I would also recommend downloading a utility such as TinkerTool System, OnyX 2.4.3, or Cocktail 5.1.1 that you can use for periodic maintenance such as removing old log files and archives, clearing caches, etc.
For emergency repairs install the freeware utility Applejack.  If you cannot start up in OS X, you may be able to start in single-user mode from which you can run Applejack to do a whole set of repair and maintenance routines from the command line.  Note that AppleJack 1.5 is required for Leopard. AppleJack 1.6 is compatible with Snow Leopard. There is no confirmation that this version also works with Lion.
When you install any new system software or updates be sure to repair the hard drive and permissions beforehand. I also recommend booting into safe mode before doing system software updates.
Get an external Firewire drive at least equal in size to the internal hard drive and make (and maintain) a bootable clone/backup. You can make a bootable clone using the Restore option of Disk Utility. You can also make and maintain clones with good backup software. My personal recommendations are (order is not significant):
    Carbon Copy Cloner
    Data Backup
    Deja Vu
    SuperDuper!
    SyncTwoFolders
    Synk Pro
    Synk Standard
    Tri-Backup
Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQs on maintenance, optimization, virus protection, and backup and restore.
Additional suggestions will be found in Mac Maintenance Quick Assist.
Referenced software can be found at CNet Downloads or MacUpdate.
Be sure you have an adequate amount of RAM installed for the number of applications you run concurrently. Be sure you leave a minimum of 10% of the hard drive's capacity as free space.
Adding more RAM, if feasible, and a new, faster hard drive may also help pep it up a little.

  • What and for how long additional OR separate benefits I receive after buying Apple Care?

I bought a MBA 13" in India (home) last month.
I wanted to know about Apple Care / Extended warranty that is available for sth like ~15K (INR).
Can you please give me a detail as in what do I get with this for my Mac and for how long?
Can I buy this before the day my current/default warranty expires or shall I have to buy this within some stipulated period from the day of purchase of my Mac?
What is already available for my Mac as of now and for how long? Shall anything be added to warranty or care that is available with my Mac as of now? Shall be added right from the day I buy it or it will happen so after my current warranty/care gets used up i.e. after completion or 1 year or for whatever period MBAs comes with care/warranty. So, these extended warranty simply increases the number of years on my protection plan or gives additional cookies?
If I buy an iPhone5 then shall I have to purchase separate apple care for that? Or is it available for all my Apple products? Or if not then are there such plans that I can buy to cover all or many of my apple products and are cheaper as a combined purchase?
Within that period if let's say my Keypad fails screen goes kaput then Apple will either fix it/replace it or it will ask for extra money if it needs replacement? Or will ask for extra money even if it was not accidental damage (my fault)? I read sth about accidental damage with AppleCare purchase - it adds to the first year also or only during the next two years (or next 3 years - not sure how long it holds).
Shall I have to buy it offline or i can buy it online too? What if I buy from another country (online/offline) if it's available for cheap over there?
I see some deals on such packages on eBay - mostly on USA eBay, and have read posts people buying it but they were mostly from USA/EU. Can I buy one of those? Shall they be valid for my product(s)?
By the way, does Apple provide an email support with those plans because I couldn't find one email address for Apple support.

my iPad was stolen in brazil.  i cannot get the manufacturer id number from my iPhone or my macbook air....they are all linked together though.  any suggestions on how and if i can possibly retrieve this and thus locate the device? thanks julie

Launch iTunes, go to the Preferences, select Devices, and hover your cursor over the backup file for the iPod. That should show you the serial number, IMEI, and possibly the MEID.
The manufacturer ID will not help you locate the iPad, though. If you set up the Find My iPad service in the Settings prior to the iPad going missing, then there is a chance that can be tracked, though it depends on a number of factors (the iPad is turned on, connected to a WiFi or 3G network, and has not had the Find My iPad service disabled or the iPad been completely restored).
If you did not set up Find My iPad, then there is no way to track it. Contact the police and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPad (the iTunes Store, for instance).
    Regards.

  • Sandbox is down during this week, why and for how long?

I'm trying to test if the IAPs are working correctly on the project I'm working on, as I kept receiving from Xcode an error which says "cannot connect to the itunes store" and error code 2 I did some research and it looks like sandbox is down according to this link http://www.websitedown.info/sandbox.itunes.apple.com .
Does anyone know why is down and for how long? Any other way to test IAPs in case sandbox is down?
    thanks.

We are also unable to test IAP. The error is "Cannot connect to iTunes Store". Plus, it sometimes offers to sign in to already signed out account, instead to confirm password for currently signed in account. We have tested previosly working IAP code, and it reports the error now as well.
