Any software can run J2ME in Pocket PC 2003?

I found that there are some software can support J2ME in PPC 2002. As I want to upgrad to PPC2003, any JVM can support J2ME in this OS. Thanks a lot.

I've heard of people having problems with Jeode and Pocket PC 2003.
Maybe you could try with CrEme as well.
Good luck

  • Any software can see the e-mail attachment with *.doc and also *.tif

Seem Iphone itself cannot open *.doc, *.tif, need to download software from Applie store, but cannot find, anyone can help

The iphone supports viewing attachments in .doc & .tiff. However, if these attachments were mailed to you and the email was formatted in RTF they most likely won't display. Tell the sender to use plain text formatting & the attachments should display properly.

  • How to get J2ME Apps on Pocket PC 2003?

Hi, I have a program written in J2ME MIDP/CLDC and I want to be able to run it on my iPAQ h4100 (Pocket PC 2003). I did some search on this forum about this and all I found was that there is no JVM and only suggestions for Jeode and Personal Java.
I have no money cause I am a student and I don't want to rewrite any code. Does anybody know of any way to run J2ME programs on Pocket PC? Thanks in advance.
    -Jay

Althought that was not a tested platform, you can try IBM's J9. There's both MIDP 2.0 and Personal Profile 1.0 support if you download WSDD 5.7 from:

  • Webcam cannot be found with any software

    Hello,
I bought new Macbook Pro 15inch in one month back. When I tested HD camera at the start of using laptop it was functionaly very good. After one month generally usage any software can't find internal HD camera. I tried System profiler. The HD camera wasn't be found. I'm using OS Lion 10.7.1 with latest security update. I replaced original memory 4GB for 8GB and original HDD for Intel SSD. These changes was made by authorized service center. When I ask service center about this problem I got answer It can be hardware problem. Did anyone have same problem with HD camera?

Correct. Before the policy update it was still looking for the old source version.

  • JVM on Pocket PC 2003

    Hi!
Can you tell me what kind of JVM can I install to Pocket PC 2003?
Actually I'm working with an emulator.
    Please, help me!
    thanks

I've tried both Creme and Jeode, and jeode seems to be the better one (to me). The GUI generated looks almost identical to the one running on desktop PC (jre1.4).
Too bad Insigna solution has sold Jeode to some company called Esmertec!!
Insigna seemed pretty serious to me, something I can't really say about Esmertec.
I've tried to contact Esmertec to get a newer version of Jeode, which they now call Jbed(!?), but the answer I get is: "we can only license our technology to device manufacturers"!!! So I practically have to pull out my solder to get a licence!!
What is even more confusing is that you can still buy jeode from handango! And sometimes Esmertec themself refer to Jeode as Jeode (I thought they renamed it to Jbed CLDC/CDC!!)
So what I'm doing now is that I'm using "old" Jeode on my Dell Axim X3 (and HP Ipaq 5xxx), and it works pretty good. But it's frustrating to know that the jvm I'm using is no longer maintained!!
The jvm for handheld business doesn't seem very serious to me. It doesn't seem to catch up with the developement (both device manufacturers and jvm solutions). Maybe they are concentrating on the booming mobile phone market!?
Many jvm's are still using Java Personal (Sun EOL).
Another "unserious" thing is that on most companion cd's for PPC, Jeode is mentioned, one way or another. But they either refer to a broken link on Insignias website, or the jvm isn't on the cd although it claims that it should be there!!!

  • I have a Macbook I purchased in 2006. It is running version 10.4.11. It says I do not have any software updates. How can I get this computer updated?

I have a Macbook that I bought in 2006. I am operating on version 10.4.11. I'd like to find out how to upgrade this laptop so I don't have to buy a new one. I can't do much on here with this version, and when I go to Software Updates, it tells me there aren't any. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

You need to understand the difference between an Update and an Upgrade.
An Update is a free change within an existing Operating System. Such as the .11 added to 10.4.
An Upgrade is a complete new Operating System that must be purchased. Such as 10.5 Leopard to 10.6 Snow Leopard.
The Early 2006 model 1,1 Core Duo can only run a maximum of 10.6 Snow Leopard. The models Late 2006 Core 2 Duos 2,1 through Early 2008 4,1 can only run a maximum of 10.7 Lion. The Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody through the Mid 2010 White Unibody model 7,1 can run 10.8 Mountain Lion.
The Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD should still be available from Apple for $20. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775 to purchase it. It may still be in the Legacy Products list.
If they no longer have any in stock you will have to buy it from eBay or Apple resellers that still have stock. But you will have to pay a premium since the DVDs are no longer being made. Snow Leopard DVDs are already up to $100 on Amazon.
    http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=10.6+snow+leopard&_sacat=0&_odkw=mac+os+10.6 &_osacat=0
You can upgrade straight from 10.4 to 10.6 with no problems. Any program that runs under 10.4 should run under10.6. See this list for compatibility with 10.6: http://snowleopard.wikidot.com/
You might have to upgrade some drivers for printers, etc.... And you will have to install Rosetta if you have any Power PC applications http://www.macobserver.com/tmo/article/snow_leopard_installing_rosetta/
I recently upgraded an older MacBook (model 1,1) straight from 10.4 to 10.6.
A retail 10.5 Leopard disk will run you around $200

  • Can the program written using J2ME run in pocket pc 2003 OS (Ipaq h4150)?

I would like to run java program to run in my pocket pc with 2003 OS (Ipaq h4150).
If I write my java program using J2ME, can this program run in my pocket pc (Ipaq h4150)?
Advice is much much appreciated. Thanks a lot!

I would think if you found the correct JVM for a piece of hardware, then it could run Java. I know that is the case with cell phones at least.

  • I can't install any softwares and any update to my Macbook Pro?

I can't install any softwares and any update to my Macbook Pro?
    <Edited by Host>

    ttlmdy,
which model MacBook Pro do you have?
What exactly happens when you try to run a software installation or a software update?

  • Is it possible in any way to run this software on a MacPro?

Hello- This is my first post, I have been a mac user for 20 years... I am an Industrial Designer (Art Center, Summer 90, High Honors), and I have been running AliasStudio software on an SGI Unix machine for 8 years now. It's time to upgrade (way over time, actually), and I see that Alias has been bought by Autodesk, and they have bundled the AutoStudio programs that I use into a PC capable software package - see link to save time in description - http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=8412490 that runs about 5k....I bought the same thing in 97 for 75k, and it has paid for itself many times over.
Anyways, I never liked the unix system, because I don't have time or inclination to screw around with code, like I said, mac user for 20 years faithfully (outside of this application). Given that the MacPro can run the stinky Windows XP, what is the group's thoughts, can it run this software? I realize I am intruding on your free time looking up the hardware requirements from my link, I wish there was a simple 'Ask A Question in Order to Avoid Buying A PC' link on the Apple site, but there is not.....Thanks in advance, I'd really rather spend 5-6K on a killer Apple. -Dave

Yup it will run on the Mac Pro under bootcamp no problems. But that means that effectively you wont be using a mac, you'll be using windows and only windows - just on machine that looks like apple. You can reboot into mac osx, but you wont be able to use AutoStudio and then cmd+tab to your apple mail, or bring up your dashboard or whatever. Its either windows or mac at any given time (using bootcamp you reboot to switch os). If thats ok with you then no problems....
There are options (like parallels or crossover) where you can run windows applications from within mac os (so you can cmd+tab between your windows app and mac apps) - but the graphics performance is VERY comprimised, and i'm pretty sure that AutoStudio will not work under those conditions.
I'm currently using Autodesk 3DSMax on my mac under bootcamp and it works perfectly. I also use parallels on mac os for windows applications that dont need graphics performance and everything is cool. 3DSMax performance under parallels, needless to say, is totally useless.

  • HT1338 I cannot do any software update can someone explain me how to fix this ?

I have a macbook pro with Mac OS x 10.6.8 and cannot do any software update can anyone help me ?

Yes.  The description for Pages in the Mac App Store says 10.7.4 or later.  Mountain Lion is 10.8.
First, check this page (about Mountain Lion)
    http://www.apple.com/osx/specs/
where it says Supported Models, to make sure your MacBook Pro model can run Mountain Lion.  If it can, get Mountain Lion instead of Lion.  It's $20, and there is no requirement to first install Lion before installing Mountain Lion.
Before running the Mountain Lion Installer, it would be a good idea to run Disk Utility.  Select "Macintosh HD" in the sidebar and go to the First Aid tab.  Use Repair Disk Permission and then Verify Disk.  Don't be concerned about message that come up with Repair Disk Permission, but if any error is reported byVerify Disk, you need to fix that problem BEFORE installing a system upgrade.  Running these checks will help avoid problems, if there are any issues on your startup disk prior to running the upgrade.
If your Mac has been running without restarting for a while, you should restart, THEN immediately run the Mountain Lion Installer.

  • Can I revert back after upgrading to Mavericks operating system? Can't get my Adobe software to run properly.

Can I revert back to a previous operating system after upgrading to Mavericks? Since installing Mavericks I can't get my Adobe software to run properly.

Thanks, for your replies. I've got a late 2012 iMac (2.7 GHz Intel Core i5). I was previously running Snow Leopard - Not sure exactly what version but it was right up to date.
The Adobe software I'm using is the Creative Cloud. Specifically InDesign cc. Whenever I try to browse folders through the InDesign software the browser window closes before I can do what I need to do. So I cant place images into my InDesign document or save documents properly.
On the Adobe website it says that they worked with apple to fix any bugs before the Mavericks release but there's lots of complaints on the forums. I've left a bug notification with Adobe but I don't expect that they will be offering any solutions or software updates any time soon.
I really just want to revert back without too much trouble.
