It is not clear what java heap related error messages you are seeing and what is the final error due to which the build fails. Could you post the error messages you are seeing? Also what WLS, OS and JVM combination you are using?
In general you may need to identify which sections of your build need extra memory and either:
1) Fork those off to a separate process. This option may increase the overall build time though.
2) Increase the memory using ANT_OPTS suitably if you would like to run everything in a single process.

Has anyone found any solution for the noise problem for an iMac 21.5"?
I have recently bought a new iMac 21.5" 1TB. There is constant noise which sounds like it comes from the disk drive. It is very loud and annoying and you can hear it 10 ft away even. I took it to the Apple store and of course it is too noisy in the store for them to hear it. I left it at the store for them to check and you guess it, they did not notice any disk drive problem and return back to me. I am not an advanced users and I tell you I am not complaining out of the blue and it is not my imagination. After digging through the community, I seem to find a number of threads indicating that there is noise issue on the iMac.
Now I am worried that I have returned my iMac. If this is not a defect, I am thoroughly disappointed in Apple for designing such a crappy product. How can they let a product like that out?
Before I give up, does anyone out there have any advice? Is my only option now return the unit?Millions have not had a problem so perhaps yours is due to a bad install. What troubleshooting steps have you done? Restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new are steps you can take to try and resolve the problem.

I tried to upgrade my iPod from iOS 4.3.3 to iOS 6 through iTunes. As soon as it completed the download of the 840 MB file, it said that my iPod is being restored. But after a considerable amount of time it said my iPod could not be restored and stopped. Now my iPod screen is just displaying a iTunes symbol followed by an upward arrow mark and then a USB symbol.
iTunes has stopped to detect my iPod anymore. I tried to update iTunes 10.7 as requested in the website support page. But if I check for updates in iTunes it is detecting the available updates but not updating it when i click on the update button.Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

I keep getting the message that my startup disk is full, yet I have almost 300GB left on my hardrive. I have emptied the trash on my desktop and in iPhoto, and I have removed unnecessary programs. The only way I can get the message to go away is to restart my computer. If I let the computer go to sleep, I get the message back when I start using it again. Any suggestions?
Mountain Lion Recovery
Boot up from your computer by holding down the command+r keys. This will take you to the recovery drive.
Select Disk Utility & hit Return.
In Disk Utility select the HD on the left & click on Repair Disk (bottom right).

Empty the trash in the Dock as well as iPhoto’s trash!
Open up your application folder & go through all your apps. Trash all the apps you no longer want and/or use.
An easier way to do this is to open the Application folder in list view & press the Command+j keys.
In the the dialog that appears, click the "This Window Only" button & the "Calculate All Sizes" check box.
Wait a bit until your file & folder sizes have all been calculated, then click the "Size" column to sort your apps from the fattest to the most anorexic.
Get rid of all your photo files you don't want and/or need. Same goes for those pics off the websites you downloaded (gifs, jpegs, etc.). Or transfer/move them all to a photo/movie storage site like ImageShack and Photobucket, 2 of the most popular FREE storage sites.
Get rid of all your video & music files you no longer view and/or listen too. Especially, if you already have the actual CD/DVDs or you can later redownload from a website. Or transfer them all to a FREE video/movies and/or music storage site.
Use Spotlight to make sure you got rid of everything. You can even trash directly from Spotlight! Better yet, download this FREE software called Find File. This app puts Spotlight to shame (works w/Mountain Lion).
Drag what you don't want and/or need to the trash. Better yet, download this neat little shareware app *demo* called AppZapper. It basically does all the work for you by not only trashing the apps but the apps preference files, caches & all its associated files.
Another software that does the above is AppDelete. Best of all this software is free!
Burn what you want and/or need onto CDs or DVDs. Not everyone has the luxury of purchasing an external HD and/or the system requirements for iCloud to store their "stuff.”
Dropbox is a free storage utility to check out.
You can check with your ISP to see if they offer *free* storage space. Most if not all do now-a-days. There are thousands if not millions of *free* storage facilities on the web also. Use your favorite search engine to search them out as they come in different storage sizes to fit your needs & wants.
Check for duplicate fonts.
Applications>Font Book
Select “All Fonts”
If you see any “black dots” next to any fonts this mean you have duplicates and/or multiple versions of these fonts.
To clean this up, select a “black dotted” font or the Apple + *click* to select multiple dotted fonts;
Edit>Resolve>Duplicates.
What the above does is turns off the duplicates & multiple version fonts. Not delete them.
More than likely the “extras” were installed by other programs and/or other users.
Clear out font caches
Use FontNuke. It does all the work for you. And, best of all it’s *FREE*.
Printer Drivers
Get rid of all the printer drivers you don’t need & use except the ones for your *current* printer(s)/scanner(s).
HD>Library>Printers Folder
If you accidently threw something out that you needed for your printer/scanner it can be easily obtained from the manufacturer’s website and/or from the CD that came w/the printer/scanner.
Garage Band
Has about 1GB of loops stored. Get rid of some some them. You surely don’t use, like and/or need them all.
HD>Library>Audio/Apple Loops>Apple>Apple Loops For GarageBand
Or just get rid of the Garage Band app altogether if you don’t use it.
Get rid of extra languages
Strip your computer down to your “native” tongue.
You can do this with a *FREE* utility called Monolingual. Another app that apparently does all the work for you. I’ve never used it. However, a lot of users here swear by & recommend it highly.
However, there is a warning for *native English speakers*. Make sure you keep BOTH English and English (United States).

Does anybody have a solution for the NAT problem?
Is somebody's application or Applet able to play any RTP stream behind a NAT Router? Can anybody establish any kind of connection / broadcasting between two subnets? I've got my RTP-Transmitter@public IP (using RTPManager...SendStream.start()), and I try to receive the stream from my local network which is behind a router (DHCP: 192.168....).
I read forums, newsgroups, looked for any solution for days all over the web but I've found nothing. Zero.
What's the secret? Any hints?

I have one appletTransmitter that capture video from webcam and transmit it to other client on internet.

There are numerous reports of this issue happening on iPhones. It may be a glitch that will need a new update. Some find that a full shut-down and restart fixes that problem, but not always.

Basic troubleshooting steps right out of the user guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. If you've been through ALL the steps and you still have the problem, then you'll need to bring your phone to Apple for evaluation.

Tried the posted solution for the RETR problem and it works once then it returns. Once the email dl'ds the file deleted per the instructions returns. How do you make the change permanent?

Let see, you are using a proprietary file format that is only supposed to work with Outlook. It doesn't work for millions of Windows or Mac or Linux email users that depend on other email programs like Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, webmail, etc.
Microsoft has had to publish instructions so that their program's users can make themselves compatible with the rest of the world.

You are causing your own problem by not making a simple change in your program's options. Changes in the Outlook preferences can be made either Globally or by the Recipient.
Follow these steps in Outlook 2007 to turn off TNEF:
1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. Click the Mail Format tab.
3. In the Compose in this message format box, click Plain Text or HTML, and then click OK.
Don't know of a better way to fix this problem for everyone concerned. Even if you get the fix to work with your machine, you will not enable all of the people receiving your emails to be able to work with you. That's a losing battle that's been caused by Microsoft.
Now if Microsoft created a Mail plugin for other email programs like they do for their video format's and services (flip4mac, Office Live Plugin, etc), then I would consider using their email program to deal with my clients. Until then, I need to be compatible with many different programs in other countries, on different platforms. Maybe that's going to change when they bring out the new Office 2011 with Outlook for the Mac... -
