How to set breakpointer at any source code?

i want to set break point any one line of source code.
i saw the object file of this source code is loaded already
even i use command to load it again by
loadobjects xxx.so
but when i set breakpoint at line of source code
it said. couldnot find object files.
but it is under LD_LIBRARY_PATH . and i load share libaray which contains
this object file already.
what should i do?

Well, these 2 are different. If you want dbx to find shared libraries, executables ended with .so, you use LD_LIBRARY_PATH which is by the way the run-time linker would use. But for dbx to find object files in an executable, which are located in other directories, you need to use the dbx command "pathmap". Please type "help pathmap" in dbx for more details.

Have any source code can produce a web traffic analysis?

I want to get the source code to produce a web traffic analysis report, for example i input a tomcat's access_log, it can analysis this log file and then output the analysis result in html file format.
I have already found a source code to parsing the IE's log file, but i can't find a source code to parse the tomcat's access_log file.
Have anybody know where can download this source code.......Thank a lot!!!!!

Exercises and source code

I´m trying to do the exercise "Binding data and Handling
a User Event"
It says "1. Open AdobeODT.mxml in the AdobeODT project.."
Maybe this is a silly question - but, is there any source
code to download somewhere?
If so, where? Cant find the link.

Building on what highlander_1 is asking: it would be helpful
to have the source code for the exercises available for
downloading. I like the current format for building the files: it
helps us to understand how the various pieces fit together.
However, even when we carefully construct these modules, it
is possible to make errors that are not caught at compilation and
very, very difficult to spot where we made the mistake.
For example, I've done the exercise on Using XML with E4X and
added the Search exercise. I even found a typo in step 41 were the
var searchObjEvent is listed as "searObjEvent" (that through me off
when errors were thrown at compilation), but I'm now getting an
error when I try to run the search. I'm still digging into the code
trying to figure out where I went wrong, but it would be good to
have the correct code available should that search not yield
results.

Is Source Code availble for all the iFS clases (i.e.: webui package)

I am trying to build some custom pages to interact with iFS. Some of them are similar to the prebuilt pages (to do searches for example).
I found the class files that the JSPs use but cannot find any source code for them. Are they available? I know there are several packages that the API is provided for but by looking at how the webui classes, etc. interact it would provide insight into how to use them.
For example I want search pages that will take a list of folders and fillnames(via a Query string) and generate a list similar to what "container" does via the "advancedfind.jsp" page.
Basically I am found the jar files such as

I am looking for source and JavaDoc for these classes if it exists.

the source code for the WebUI and other modules that make up 9iFS is not available to the public. there is example code for using the API in the 9iFS (version 9.0.1) installation. you can also consult the documentation and whitepapers here on OTN.

Modify source code for Active-X viewer

Requirement:
Whenever an ActiveX viewer is selected, and a report link is clicked, the control goes to Url - CeVwr which is a servlet pointing to ReportSourceBridge.java residing in reportsourcebridge.jar. This class alongwith all other classes present in this jar pop up the parameter screen and process it to display report. Our requirement is to dynamically prepare this parameter screen, by localizing the strings - parameter prompts and their options - based on user's locale.
Reason for workaround:
BO does not provide any source code for Active-X viewer but they do for DHTML and Advanced DHTML viewer. So it was easy for us to implement our requirements in DHTML and AdvDHTML viewers but for Active-X viewer it is not the same story.
Workaround:
We identified a core class ParameterHTMLRenderResult.java present in rascore.jar, which is the one which genrates HTML for parameter prompt screen for all viewers, accept for the Java one. We extracted all parameters, their descriptions, their prompting options as well as current values and modified the html result to get a localised HTML result. We also passed user's locale in this class.
Question: Is the source code for Active-X viewer available? Is it okay for us to modify Active-X viewer?

We do not provide the activex viewer code and do not support modifying it or any of our other code.
Code for those two other viewers is available since they are html based viewers so that code is easily obtainable, but we do not support customers making changes to it.

How to format programming source-code in a Framemaker document?

I have to write up a technical document in Framemaker that explains various programming source-code.
So my document consists of a bunch of text, followed by a bunch of source code (Java, XML) and then followed by more text, etc.
What I'm confused about is how to format source code as part of my document. Has anyone done this for a technical document and come across any instructions or tips? So far my Googling hasn't produced anything relevant to what I need to do.

If you haven't created a paragraph format that uses a fixed-width font, such as Courier or a console font, you need to do that.
If you want to preserve line breaks in the code, and if it has fairly long lines, you're likely to need to specify a font size of 7 pt. or so. For really long lines, you may need to go to a landscape page format or incorporate a way of telling your readers that the lines wrap.
Those are the basics. If you want to get fancier, I usually set up a table so I can apply a contrasting background tone, and format each line of code as a cell (it's a one-column table). You can also add a second column to hold line numbers, if you want.

Question about the Documentation Tags for Source Code

I have a question about CVI's automatic source code documentation. My problem is that is seems like you need to write all documentation for a specific tag on one line. If you don't, a line break will be inserted when the documentation is displayed. Suppose I want to write a large amount of documentation for the function itself, using the HIFN tag. If I don't want linebreaks to be forced in the documentation, I need to write all this documentation on one single line, which kinda messes up my code. If I split the documentation over several HIFN tags, the documentation displayed to the user might look messed up because of all the linebreaks. Is there any escape character I can put at the end of a line, allowing me to split the documentation of several HIFN lines without forcing linebreaks in the documentation?

Problem with registering Parser - Recompiled source code, don't see any changes

I had created a parser. I had register this parser with Ifs Manager. I had execute this following statement to see if been registered carefully:
On user ifssys/ifssys

I see my parser....

All it's ok. I upload a file with a 'p01' extension with option 'parser' on my Internet Explorer. All work fine.. My parser work. But I need to do some changes in my code. I update my code, recompile my code. My class file have been updated. After my parser (.class) file have been updated I upload a new file with parse option. I don't see any change I do in my code. Why??? How I can update my parser to view change. I have only recompile my code an place my new class files on the same directory. I have try again (change on code, recompile, test) and I don't see any changes.
But I have test by change my classname. My classname before is Test1 and I have rename my classe by Test2. I have compiled this code and a file Test2.class have been generate. I have update my register parser with Ifs Manager to use the new classname Test2. I have chack with sql statement to see if my parser have been updated. I have been updated correctly. I have upload a new file with parse option and I see my change on my code..
Do you have some explanations about that??
How I can update my source code of a parser already registered to the parser take the change I do.

Ok, but they have another manner to resolve this problem. If I upload a file with parser option on Windows Nt explorer (Using SmbServer or WcpServer). How I can update the class file into the JVM? I need the restart this those server or just one? If just one which server I need to restart?

KM Document Iview Source Code

The standard KM Document Iview needs to fill manually value for property "Path to Document". I would like to make it dynamic by getting that Path value from a backend system. Is there any way to get the source code of KM Document Iview?

Hi Villalain,
the easiest way to achieve this is to write something we call "proxy iview", that is a component (AbstractPortalComponent, implementing doOnNodeReady), which calculates the path (in your case: gets it from a backend system) and after that just calls the document component (by using the URL generator), passing the path dynamically (by calling redirect on the request object).
For further details, just type "proxy iview AND detlev" into the SDN search.

Issue of Security about Java Source Code

At most time Java compiler compiles the *.java source code into *.class files and then pack them in *.jar files running in the Java VM or as applet running on web pages.
Recently I find a tool named cavaj that can decompile *.class files into *.java files. I tried it to decompile my *.class files and unvealed that the decompiled *.java files are the same of my source code!
How to protect the source code not to be pirated? This is a big problem about the mechanism of Java. Is there any tool to compile *.java to *.exe files? Or is there any tool that can decompile *.exe to *.java in the future?

This is a common question. If you do a search you will find many answers/solutions.
But can it affect the performance of the program? Your program mayload slight faster, but the runtime performance is the same. It may effect your performance as it takes some time to get the obsufaction right, especially if you are using reflection.
