Any special procedure for turning off a passive Exchange server?
I need to perform some maintenance on the passive server of a two-member DAG. Do I need to do anything special in order to shut it down (i.e. running the StartDAGServerMaintenance script)? Or can I simply shut it down and start it back up again?
I would put server into maintenance before doing anything to ensure all services are down properly and set for reboot or whatever maintenance I am doing.
I assume you have Exchange 2010 based on StartDAGServerMaintenance reference you have given, that's the one to put server into maintenance mode. But if you have Exchange 2013 then follow "Performing maintenance on DAG members" over here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd298065(v=exchg.150).aspx

Sql statement substituion - any special rules for formatting the query?

I was wondering - are there any special rules for formatting the query that is to be substituted?
I am asking, as somehow I am unable to make the DSP substitute my query. I took the basesql from the server console (to make sure that I have the correct version), configured a query substitution, and well, nothing happens.
I've tried to substitute it with a modified version of the original query (where NVL(,0) is changed to NVL(,-9999)), then also with select * from dual (which I hope would generate some error), but DSP is ignoring everything...
The query is rather big (400 lines), so maybe I need to format it somehow? I've noticed that in the docs (http://edocs.bea.com/aldsp/docs25/admin/server.html#wp1049919) that the query used in the example has all leading spaces removed. I've tried that, but DSP is still not doing any substitution...
Any suggestions welcomed...

I am doing everything as in edocs, retrieving from logs the basesql (so with place holders). I've removed all new lines (so the query is now in a single line) and all excessive blanks (so all double/more blanks replaced with a single blank). Still the DSP is like ignoring the substitution. I've tried to do it even with a simple query, like:

I've tried removing blanks around = signs (which from the DSP pov results in a different query), sitll with no results.

why in spite of i turn off all of location servies when i turn on cellular data use data again
in cellular >>system services >> mapping services
how can i turn off mapping services completly ??
& why now it use data until i turn it off ???Settings>Cellular>Use Cellular Data for and turn Maps off. If you are not using Maps for navigation, it's not using data, though.

I have upgraded my iPhone 4S to ios 6... I am surprised to see that the wi-go option is grayed out.. I did reset all the setting but no luck... Is there any fix coming for this or will apple exchange the device??? I want wi-fi option back

with the associated Active directory account. For the shared mailbox in Exchange Server, is there such an Active Directory account associated?

Yes that's correct (try it yourself with the EWSEditor)

Not sure what you mean by this ? A Shared a Mailbox is just like any other Exchange Mailbox if you have rights to the Folder then you can create a subscription against it. There is no automation involved.

RichardIf you are using EWS to access a mailbox other than the one connected to a specific account, you will want to check out EWS impersonation. I've found it to be more reliable than any other method for accessing a second mailbox.

I installed a new 'used' Logic board, im my macbook 13.3 and it turned right on!..( i was out of warrenty)
Apple logo and spiing wheel, then turns off..
After reading several forums, I went into self mode, did the 2 checks within in and got an error which pointed to the OS software being currupted..
so I have inserted the Os disk, the disk-repair disk and a disk warrior disk, but none of them are being read. I hear the Macbook starting to read the disk then the disks are ejected and the systen turns off.
Is there a way i can do a clean install on the HD? shortcut keyboard shortcuts?
or force the disks to be read as the first boot device like of that in a PC's bios settup?
I have no data on the computer that I wish to save btw.. just want a fresh install..
thanks for any help in advance.Unfortunately the necessary software to reinstall your OS is not located on the hard drive. If your MacBook will not accept the disks you have you are going to need a hardware repair, probably the optical drive.
If you have access to another MacBook you may be able to install the OS on an external hard drive and use that to boot your MacBook. You may then be able to get any data off of your hard drive.

Is there any special reason why the Process Black shows in ink separation list, when the only black i have is an an object with applied shadow in a hidden and unprintable layer and no other object has black as fill or stroke in any of the visible layers? Thanks for any tips ...
The separations preview is just what it implies - an overview of the inks used in the doc, based on the assumption that the document is going to be printed at some point using a standard process. It doesn't matter, whether the objects are invisible, non-printable or what else. AI has no concept of these things. And you can't print anything without any kind of ink, can you? I really don't see why you think it's a problem.

Any possible way to turn off startup "DDDAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH" sound?
If I am to take my mac into classes turned off, will my startup always be anounced to the class? I have searched older forums but they say to just mute it before previous shutdown? Is there any checkbox/alternative to muting it?
The startup sound is mightily annoying, but I agree that you shouldn't have to shut it down. Just sleep the machine between classes.
Sleeping has many advantages. You don't have to wait for startup to reach the desktop, and you don't have to wait for it to shut down; you just close the lid. You can leave all your apps and documents open so you don't have to re-open them all the way you had them. You have instant-on, because a Mac comes out of sleep in a second or less.
Many Mac users, including me, do not shut down or restart their Macs for days, weeks, or longer. I even go on trips with it that way. Shutting down just isn't necessary most of the time, especially a laptop. -

Touch any part of screen turns off notification

I have an irritating problem with my Q5. I notice that touching any part of the screen will turn off the incoming call notification sound. This is a huge problem when I put my phone in pocket. When someone calls, the touch screen is automatically active and since my leg touches the screen, the notification is instantly turned off. Since the touch screen is active, I can also accidentally reject the phones while the phone is in the pocket.
Can BlackBerry 10 detect that the phone is in pocket (by using the light ambient sensor) so when it receives an incoming call the touch screen won't active?
or
Can I set my phone so touching any part of the screen won't turn off the notification sound?

HarisThis has been a feature of BlackBerry touchscreen phones for many years. It's a good feature for when, for instance, you forget to put your phone to Silent or Vibrate and you need to cancel the ringtone quickly but might want a few seconds to decide whether to answer the call or not.
The feature is built right in to the OS and there's no way to disable it. Putting your phone in an approved case or holster will solve this issue because the phone will continue to ring while holstered.

ARQ: Does LDAP User Search action require any special authorization for requester???

I was wondering if requester need to be given any special authorization to search users in LDAP?
Because, I have noticed that a requester can not search users from LDAP. However, another user who is a super user in GRC system and has SAP_ALL profile assigned, can search users from LDAP easily!
I have noticed only this change between these two users and not sure what authorizations should be granted to requester to search users from LDAP. I have tried to search relevant auth. object in his role "SAP_GRAC_ACCESS_REQUESTER" but could not find. I also check security guide for this but did not get any details.
Can anyone advise?

I switched on trace using ST01 for one of the requesters and viewed its details later. I found RC=4 or 12 for some of the auth. objects.
For example:
I opened of of the records and could see above details. I am unable to interpret it further. Can you please assist in this?
