Any succesfull install of Forms6i in HTTPS mode ?

Has anybody succecfully installed Forms6i using OAS 4.0.8.0 on solaris in HTTPS mode.
If yes can you please advice on any major issues that you have faced.
We are trying to get this thing running, we have installed the certificates and everythinf runs fine on HTTP mode when using the secure socket the form is not displayed.
Any ideas what might be going wrong ?
Any help will be highly appreciated
Sunil

I have tried calling Oracle support but they do not have a clue. All they could help with was follow the installation instructions as no one has hands on experience of Forms 6i in HTTPS mode.

  • Cannot Install Windows 7 with AHCI mode

    Hello,
Having just submitted a support ticket to MSI, I was curious to see if anyone else has experienced a similar issue or may be able to suggest a possible resolution.
I recently purchased a MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate for an htpc build.
I've ran into an issue of not being able to install Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit onto my ANY SATA 3 hard drive with SATA mode - AHCI enabled in bios.
Main parts for the build are:
    Motherboard: MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate
    CPU: Intel Core i3-4130 3.4 3 FCLGA 1150
    RAM: G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
PSU: Corsair Builder Series CX 600
    OS HD: Crucial M500 SSD
During Windows install and selecting the SSD in which to install windows onto..
Windows will prompt with: “Windows cannot be installed to Disk x Partition x. (Show details)
Afterwards, I’ll select ‘Load driver’ and select the “Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver for 8x series,” provided by MSI drivers download page. Confirmed as a valid driver for the SATA AHCI controller.
"Select the driver to be installed" lists: “Intel(r) 8 Series/C220 Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller” Looks good, then progress...
Followed by clicking on next- “Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the setup log files for more information.”
I've tried installing Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit via USB drive and OEM disc to no avail.
Performed a test using the same install procedure with my primary desktop computer which uses a MSI z68A-GD65 (G3) motherboard (AHCI enabled.) I was able to install windows to my Crucial M500 SSD without issue.
Confirmed the issue occurs while testing with different hard drives. I have yet to be able to install windows with AHCI enabled on this motherboard.
    HDDs tested include:
    WD Black WD5002AALX 500GB
    Seagate ST3100524AS 1TB
Once I change SATA mode from AHCI to IDE, I was able to install windows without the need of pre-loading the Intel 8 Series SATA/AHCI driver.
Afterwards having installed windows, I decided to test by switching SATA mode back to AHCI. Doing so will cause the machine to bsod upon booting to windows. Later, I performed the registry edit to change IDE to AHCI mode within windows. Followed by again enabling AHCI in bios.
I was able to boot while in AHCI mode temporarily a couple of times until this method stopped working. Any attempt past the bios post, windows will not boot.
I've also tested the manual and XMP profile RAM settings as suggested by the sticky'd thread here https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=178019.0
I would like to possibly resolve the issue in regards to utilizing AHCI mode for optimal performance for my hard drives and hot swap capability.
When I have more time, I suppose I can run a RAM test; but so far I simply believe it may just be a SATA controller or driver conflict with the motherboard.
tl;dr Cannot install Windows 7 onto any hard drive with AHCI enabled. Works fine with IDE mode.

** Update as of 6/3/2014 ** Issue resolved.
Received my replacement motherboard from RMA. Replacement is working without any issues with SATA mode set to AHCI.
Tested by running Windows 7 and Windows 8 install - both detected my SATA SSD and other HDDs as applicable drives to install Windows onto. Pre-loading the SATA controller drivers was not necessary. Windows boots up immediately without any delay now. Benchmarks are showing valid stats for SATA3 devices.
Also to note, the replacement motherboard came with bios version 1.5, compared the one I sent back which came with 1.6. In case if that had anything to do with it. Not going to risk updating the bios at this point.

  • Problem Installing Virtual PC for XP Mode in Win 7 Pro(64) SP1

XP Mode has successfully installed, but Virtual PC has not. Installing Virtual PC requires only a Windows Update, so I downloaded the correct file -- Windows6.1-KB958559-x64-RefreshPkg.msu. When I try to install it I get that this update is already installed
on my computer, but I still don't have Virtual PC.
    What now?
Thanks for any guidance that can be offered.

Installing Virtual PC requires only a Windows Update...
    Kinda/sorta.
    <QP>
To use Windows XP Mode, you need to download and install Windows XP Mode, and Windows Virtual PC, the program that runs virtual operating systems on your computer.
When you install a program in Windows XP Mode, the program becomes available for use in both Windows XP Mode and Windows 7.
To download and install Windows XP Mode
Go to the Windows XP Mode page in Download Center.
Under Quick Details, select your language.
Click Continue and follow the instructions on the screen to validate your copy of Windows 7.
Select a version of Windows XP Mode to install and click Install.
Note:              Windows XPMode_N versions don't include Windows Media Player.
Click Run in your browser's message bar, and follow the instructions on the screen.

  • JInititiator 1.3.1.22 and Internet Explorer 7.0 in HTTPS Mode Not Working

Anyone else having problems running Jinitiator 1.3.1.22 in Internet Explorer 7.0 in HTTPS mode? I'm getting the usual unhelpful java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:oracle.forms.engine.Main error.
Works okay in HTTP mode. Confirmed that JInititiator and the certdb.txt file were okay by connecting successfully with IE 6.0 in HTTPS.

Thank you for a very informative response.
I installed 1.3.1.26 and get the same error when trying to connect to Forms in HTTPS mode.
I also verified I can download the frmall.jar file directly from the server.
Here's what I found in the OHS access log:

Again, I can connect via HTTP mode. This only occurs when connecting via HTTPS.
Unfortunately, our customers must use HTTPS mode and I fear they will be forced to upgrade to IE7 within the next month.

  • FRM-92050 error when trying to open form after switching to HTTP mode

    Hi all,
Yesterday, I installed Oracle Applications 11i on Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 4 and forms were working correctly in the default mode, which is native (socket). Following steps 4 and 5 in [Doc 201340.1|https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/f?p=130:14:6398415066875997204::::p14_database_id,p14_docid,p14_show_header,p14_show_help,p14_black_frame,p14_font:NOT,201340.1,1,1,1,helvetica], I enabled HTTP mode, and now my forms are not working. When I open a form now, I get this error:
FRM-92050: Failed to connect to the Server: /forms/formservlet:-1
    Details...
    Java Exception:
    java.io.IOException: Negative content-length from http://...
I've searched MetaLink and the forums for this error and all the results I found deal with HTTP headers or cookies being corrupted, usually by an intermediate networking device (web proxy, web cache, SSL accelerator, etc.). I am not using anything of the sort - the client is connecting directly to the Oracle server.
I checked the Apache error log and this is what I see:
[Thu May 14 09:10:28 2009] [error] [client 10.11.1.114] client denied by server configuration: /work/oracle/viscomn/java/java

I don't like the look of those "client denied by server configuration" messages. What's also odd is that the two files referenced by those messages do not exist on the file system:
    [oracle@gen1-cs49 logs]$ cat /work/oracle/viscomn/java/java
cat: /work/oracle/viscomn/java/java: No such file or directory
    [oracle@gen1-cs49 logs]$ cat /work/oracle/viscomn/java/oracle/ewt

Any ideas? Are there any other logfiles I should be checking?

First, login to System Administrator responsibility, then navigate to Concurrent > Manager > Administer > Processes > Internal Manager LogAh, OK - I was able to open the form and I see a table of managers and services and whatnot, and I see an entry for "Internal Manager", but I don't see any way to view the log. I even tried opening the details of the "Internal Manager" entry and the only button there is "Diagnostics".
Search for VIS_*.mgr -- Sorry for the typo!Ah, that would explain it. Here are the contents of the correct logfile:

  • Is there any PL/SQL interface in Forms10g Debug mode?

    Dear gurus...
Since I've been debuuging Forms-10g, I've been looking for a SQL-PL/SQL interface like it was there in Forms-6i. It was very useful to have a look into database while debugging a form and test yours queries at runtime. So do u know that Is there any PL/SQL interface in Forms10g Debug mode?

    Hello Suresh,
I think you could try to use new Oracle tool - Oracle SQL Developer v 1. It has PL/SQL reporting possibility, such as - Program Unit Components, Unit Line Counts, Search Source Code.
It is quite easy to develop and debug PL/SQL in JDeveloper environment, just review this tutorial: http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe9051jdev/ide1012/plsqlobe/obeplsql.htm
If you need in depth analysis, you could use Oracle Enterprise Manager (installed with database) tuning services available through - Advisor Central. This is a user-friendly front-end for database dynamic views.

  • 13 in macbook pro (early to mid 2011) : after the update, computer freezes with spinning wheel every 30 seconds first with safari and now with all the applications. I don't have any programs installed and still had good enough memory on the RAM.

After the update of my 13 in mac book pro (early to mid 2011) , it freezes every 30 seconds with the spinning wheel and now it just freezes. Ive never had this problem until I recently updated. Also, I just checked now for available update ( which there was one), the update would process till the last step and it shows it cannot be expanded? Now my computer wont even restart (just have a grey screen with a cursor). Can someone please tell me what the heck is going on with my computer?
I also checked the memory and it showed available memory was over 1.5 GB. I dont have any programms installed and do not have backup yet ( dont really need it anyways)
Problems: first with spinning wheel every 30 seconds and now whole computer just freezes when I restart, it only shows grey screen after the starting sound or it takes about 8 to 10 minutes to restart.
This ALL happened right after the update with google chrome crashing. I know my apple care plan expired so I cant even go to genius bar. Do you guys know how much it would cost to get it fixed ? Or any recommendations I can do to fix this?

    Try a smc reset:

  • How to set up Group Policy without any server installed

How to set up Group Policy on Win8 without any server installed?
I have set up 50 users on LAN and want to push softwares via one common point. From google I found to deploy Software using Group Policy. But then Group Policy occurs in Servers and I don't have any server set up.

    Hello,
a Domain requires at least one Windows server OS machine which has Active Directory installed.
As previous already mentioned from SenneVL this also requires that computers are added to the domain and that you create user accounts in Active Directory users and computers which stores the account information in the Active directory database.
In your case with single computers each machine has its own database(SAM) which stores passwords etc. this is different in a domain.
Each computer has a local policy which will be overwritten from centrally managed policies from the domain.
"The common point would be my PC (Admin PC) ."

  • Why is my Creative Cloud desktop app telling me I don't have any apps installed, when in fact I do?

Just noticed this forum so thought I'd post my question in here too...
So, I [think] I just downloaded the latest CC desktop app/manager and when it finished etc and opened up, it's now telling me that I don't have any apps installed. I do, I have PS, AI, InDesign etc etc etc.
Why is the new desktop app wrong all of a sudden? Why isn't it recognising what apps I have downloaded on my computer?
I've just installed PS 2014, expecting it to tell me 'you've already got this on your computer' but it didn't, I just carried on with the install as if I didn't already have it [it doesn't appear to of doubled up]...why isn't it 'synced', what am I missing?
    Thanks in advance

uninstall your cc desktop app, clean and reinstall per, http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

  • Forms 6i not working in HTTPS mode

    We have installed OAS 4.0.8.0
We have downloaded the required certificates and installed them using the default Oracle documentation.
We cannot display a form using the secure port (8881).
Everything thing work with only the HTTP mode.
    Can anybody help please.

Assuming you connected to the running form successfully, it sounds like your breakpoint is not being called. In other words, if you put a breakpoint in a trigger that isn't firing then the break will never occur. A simple test would be to add a break in the WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger. Since this trigger cannot be avoided, control will quickly be passed to the debugger at startup. If this works then you can assume what I mentioned, which is that your other breakpoints are not being reached.
Just to be sure, I just tested the Debugger in Forms 11.1.2.1 on Windows and it appears to work correctly.

  • Has any one installed utl_dbws in 9.2.0.4

has any one installed utl_dbws in 9.2.0.4 with jdk 1.3
If so, how did you do it?
I get a run time error oracle/jpub/runtime/dbws/DbwsProxy could not be resolved
when i manually try to resolve it i track it down to a missing class
ORA-29521: referenced name java/util/logging/Level could not be
    found
this class java/util/logging/Level does not apper in the javavm until 10.2 or possibly 10.1.
    I have 9.2.0.4 database and jdk 1.3.
also I used -genmissing with the loadjava script and i still have the same problem.
I thought -genmissing was supposed to put a place holder in for missing classes,
    but it did not.
    Thanks for any help

the message looks very much like the one posted at http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/ask/f?p=4950:8:5812357525663697256::NO::F4950_P8_DISPLAYID,F4950_P8_CRITERIA:16568950771220
b.t.w. i don't think that any packages are missing. it seems that the XML is invalid. Did you use dbms_output commands to show the generated XML?

    Hi,
on my X86/64-system I had already successfully unbreakable oracle enterprise linux version 4.8 in graphic mode.
But I tried since some days to install version 5.4 or 5.5. The system hanged or showed only a quadrat.

If you're the hacker type, then you can install OEL5, and via console mode install the latest proprietary nVidia driver for Linux (need to download and copy it onto the server first). This taints the kernel - but in my experience, the kernel drivers from nVidia are fairly robust and works well. The nVidia installer is also pretty seamless. Cannot recall ever having a problem with the installation. You may however need the kernel header source installed. But having that installed should be standard on servers in order to install kernel modules and drivers.

  • Installing in Firewire Target Disk mode

I know this is a kind of silly question, but is it advisable to install OS X on my iMac when it's booted into Firewire Target disk mode? I mean, would it get funky stuff in there that the iMac doesn't need if i install from, say, my PowerMac? I know it's quite possible to do this, as I used to do it when I had two identical iMacs. But those were, of course, identical, so the target machine had the same specs as the one that was installing.
    Any thoughts?
Oh, and let me say a quick "hi" to all the regulars. I haven't really been on this baord too much the past year or so. Who's still around?

    Hi, Trey.
I installed Tiger via Target Disk Mode, but my G3 has been having kernel panics in the couple weeks since the upgrade. On another post someone said that they'd heard that the Target Disc Mode can be a problem. So I'm checking the posts to find out more.
My G3 has a CD-R/W drive, so I didn't have an alternative, other than to buy an external drive, or to send Apple my commercial Tiger DVDs and pay them MORE to convert it to CDs. I just paid big bucks for the G5 a month before they came out with a cheaper upgraded version, which I am unhappy about. Of course those Tiger disks are for G5 ONLY, so I couldn't install to my G3 from them, so I coughed up the cash for the DVDs. I couldn't fathom giving them even more for a CD transfer.
Of course, if the G3 keeps crashing, and I hear from others that a direct install from CD may cure the problem, what choice will I have? As much as I've loved Apple over the years, there's starting to be a more corporate (and dare I say it, Gates-like) vibe from their method of doing business. Now the kid wants an iPod for Christmas, and I have to check those boards to see how they're performing. As helpful and fun as all this technology is, it is also quite stress-inducing...
Good luck with your upgrade! --kat
