Any suggestions how to get facetime working again?
Face time was working but stopped working recently. Will not make connection, either side can get to the point of making a connection but then the connection fails. I have tried ichat and it works without any problem but since I am trying to get to an ipad that is not an option. The ipad has no problem with other face time connections so I have to assume something has gone wrong with my side. Can I re-install the software, is anyone else having this problem?
You should check that their is no updates on the app that you have not installed yet, as this may be the problem.
You can delete the app and reinstall it on the app store, in your purchased.

I have an iPhone 3GS and was trying to restore it...
Now it won't let me activate my phone and my itunes tells me I have no SIM card inserted when I do.
Any ideas on how to get it working again?This means that the phone was previously hacked to carrier unlock (unauthorized unlock), and when you restored, the hack was removed and it became re-locked to its original carrier. It will now accept a SIM card only from that carrier.
Your only option is to contact the carrier it's locked to and enquire if they will provide authorized unlocking. Not all carriers will unlock and those that do usually have requirements and qualifications - i.e. you have to be a current or former customer in good standing. -
When launching Illustrator on Mac OSX 10.9 I get an error that the program is no longer supported on PowerPC. I tried moving the plug-ins to a different folder as the Adobe site suggested but no luck. Any ideas how to get this launched again? Same issue for Photoshop and InDesign
You will need to uninstall, run the Cleaner tool and reinstall you adobe applications. Adobe apps don't take kindly to inplace updates of the OS on Macs.

since I upgraded to os 5.1 for my iPhone I can no longer type in reminders. Any suggestions how to get around having to use siri for reminders?
Unfortunately, I have a very similar problem. Since I upgraded to os 5.1 on my new iPhone 4S the reminders screen will not add new reminders or scroll up and down. What's more strange is the screen will still scroll side to side allowing access to the Completed list, and both the Completed list and Date functions work normally so this must be an upgrades glitch.

I want to register my iPod with iTunes but the registration form keeps asking for a postcode but there is no field to enter it, although there is an arrow showing where the error is but still no field for entry. Any suggestions how to get past this ?
I can not get to iPhone screen, so no way to get to Settings. That is the problem. When I connect phone to iTunes I get screen asking to insert SIN card. On the phone I'm getting Cinfigure screen asking Launguage , Country or Region, Wi-Fi, ( I can connect to my home wi-fi), and last screen "Activating your iPhone". After two minutes of waiting IM getting message: Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server in temporary unavailable. try connecting to iTunes or try later or contat apple.com/support.

Satellite L450D 11X - How to get WLAN working again?

I've recently had problems with my 4 year old L450D 11X machine with everything slowing up.
I seem to have sorted this problem by reinstalling Windows 7.
Now I can only get access to broadband via an Ethernet cable. I've downloaded the Realtek RTL802E/8103 Drivers and run them to see if that will solve the problem, but it didn't work.
I'd be grateful for any suggestions to how I can get the wireless connection back.

I managed to get it working again after downloading a further Realtek Driver which was highlighted as missing in one of the systems files.
I had tried the F8 key before but with no luck.
I had had a problem with the machine for a couple of months and had restored factory settings a couple of times, but it kept slowing up.
So I then got hold of another copy of the Windows 7 and that so far has worked except for the problem with the broadband access. -
Since updating my iPhone4 the face time app has gone. I can not find it anywhere in my phone, phone settings or in my back up. Any suggestions as to how to get it back?
You access Facetime through the Contacts app - there is no Facetime app on the phone.

I've had my iPod for over six months and I haven't been able to access FaceTime or iMessage...not to mention my camera stopped working for no reason!
For the camera problem try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order

Solaris 10/x86 PATA to SATA migration (how to get Sol working again?)

due to failures in my 80G PATA drive I've bough new 80GB SATA, did:
dd if=/dev/hda of=/dev/sda
in Linux (the disk has WXP/Linuxes and Solaris installed) and after linux kernel recompilation I've been able to use at least linux on my new healthy (knocking on the wood) drive. Now, the problem seems to be that Solaris 10 stopped working. The question is where to obtain SATA drivers for my MB and how to install them to the already installed Solaris to get the installation working again?
My board is Asus A8V and SATA drive is connected to VIA VT6420 chip -- at least that's for what I'm using Linux drivers succesfuly.
Is this support already provided for Sol10?

KarelI found that there was a library name /lib/ld.so.1 It appears as though this is missnamed. I created a link
ln -s /lib/ld.so.1 /lib/libld.so.1
Then I created a second link:
ln -s /lib/libld.so.1 /lib/libld.so
Everything now compiles without issue. -

javacc is just a JAR. can you execute other java programs successfully? if not, there's your issue. if yes, do you know how to call javacc? have you read the docs?

In my Finder window, the picture icons that usually show up next to the items are not there. i.e. in my sidebar, the little pictures that are usually by the Application, Desktop, Documents, etc items. Also, the back and forward arrows, list items and tasks don't show as well. Any ideas on how to get them back?

Safari won't open in my user name but as guest it will. I deleting some caches then my wi-fi hardware was missing, so I use my disk and reinstall lion.
