Any TEXTMATE users here?

Hi
I use Textmate 1.5.6 on the Mac for my coding and building.
The only thing I have problems with is not being able to view
Trace statements. I know there's a way to do it, but as yet I can't
get it working.
If anyone out there has got this working, I'd appreciate the
help with this.

I'm on Textmate as well but just use the Terminal... start
your application from the command line and you'll see the
output.

    I just moved from a Macbook to MacbookPro, I use camera control pro to run my Nikon D200 when taking photos and it ran fine on the macbook but is slow as can be on the mbp. I bumped the memory to 4gb and no change. By slow, I mean very slow. Scrolling or resizing an image to at least 15 to 20 seconds. on the macbook virtually no delay. Any thoughts on what might be causing some interference?

    Did you migrate it from the old machine or install it new on the mbp?
    Start with the troubleshooting basics:
    1. Repair Permissions using Disk Utility
    2. Delete the plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. You'll need to reset your User options afterwards.
    3. Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts) and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.

  • Any DropBox users here? folder management question:

    Just started using DB solely to back up my documents.
    My question is, how do you maintain DB on your desktop?
    More specifically (for example) if you were solely backing up docs, would you just keep your entire docs folder in the dropbox folder (with no local folder on your desktop) or, would you have your normal "my documents" folder and a copy of it in DB?
    The latter option takes more time as youd have to save all of your files twice (once to the "my docs" folder in DB and the other to the "my docs" folder in your local user folder).
    I guess I could just save to my local user folder and occasionally sync my DB folder with my local folder using something like SynToy?
    What do you do?

The files and folders inside your DropBox directory get a handy little sync indicator showing if the file has been uploaded or if it is pending upload to the online service.
    So I think the easy way is to let your document programs on your computer save there files directly to the Dropbox folder.

    bling module is composite, so the shadows are everywhere. It isn't enabled by default.
    But if it has the same problem as xcompmgr... I have no idea what could cause it. You could try moving the configs for e somewhere... and see if it works with a clean system.

    I have a client on FP. Is it pretty easy to set up an email account to auto-forward mail to another, non-FP address? Haven't found answer by searching. Thanks.

    The best overall art styles plugin for PS is probably AlienSkin's SnapArt. I'd say their filters are a cut above Photoshop's which are old and have never been updated.

  • Are there any Mac user groups in central Louisiana?

    I was wondering if there are any Mac user groups in central Louisiana.
    I live in Alexandria and would like to meet any fellow Mac or i Mac users in this area.
    Also, does anybody know where to get a power supply for an older i Mac?
    Mine was built/bought new in 2008. It quit one day and will not turn on at all.
    With what help there is around here, it is a Windows area, the problem was traced
    to a dead power supply. The nearest Apple store is about 120 miles from me in
    Baton Rouge. If there is a good online source for parts, please let me know.

  • It seems that many (if not all) of my files have been replaced by older versions. I kind find the multiple versions (listed in the Search as in the same dir) and restore them but this is strange. There is no chance that another user here has done a restor

I can find the multiple version including the most recent version using the Search, however, they show up in the same directory even though Finder only shows a single copy. I am able to save and then overwrite in order to restore but this is strange. There is no chance that another user here has done any sort of system restore action (at least intentionally).

    In a OS Extended (HFS) file system there is no way you can have two files with identical names in the same directory.
    Of course who knows what spotlight is thinking of most of the time when it does its stupid searches (get Find any File instead) and lists its results?  Are you sure it is listing the same directory or do you have a backup and it is finding it there and you aren't noticing it is two different volumes?
    You could also try reindixing the volume.  Add it to the Spotlight system preferences Privacy and then remove it.

    When I created a EUL using Discoverer admin, and also created a business area successfully, then I can't logon using same username in Discoverer desktop, My Discoverer version is 4.1.37. when I logon, I received error message read: You don't have access to any End User Layer table.
    Could someone please give me some instruction, or guide me to do something.

    You should not be able to connect to an Apps mode EUL as an end user in the end user tools.
    As for administration, you need to log in as the owner of the EUL, a database user, and then assign admin rights to an Apps account. Many companies use the SYSADMIN Apps account for this purpose. After you have assigned an Apps user to have admin rights don't forget to grant that user admin privileges over each of your business areas.,
    With this done you should then manage your Discoverer administration using the Apps account.

    Since upgrading to the new 2.0 iPhone software 3 weeks ago, I have been unable to send or receive my e-mails via my pop account from 'Plusnet'.     Is there any smarthost or antispam apps configured for the outbound emails?
    Please check whether other users in your domain can send messages to Hotmail.com. Also check whether you can send message to other domain accounts or just Hotmail.com.
    Please confirm if you has installed antivirus or antispam software on the server. If there is one, try disabling it.
    If other users also cannot send external messages, please get the send connect configurations of your Exchange server:
    Get-SendConnector | fl
