Any tips? Screen is black, no icons, receives calls but can't answer

None of the touch functions is working on my iPhone screen. I cannot turn the phone on or off. I tried syncing. When I call the phone a screen image come sup, but I cannot answer the call without the touch screen. I had no problems until tonight. Worked fine all day

Anyone have any idea why I cant send or receive calls but can receive/send emails

Had the iphone 5 for a couple of months and today I had problems receiving/sending text messages and calls. email is fine. I have tried the usual i.e. power down, remove/reseat sim, reset network connections, sync itunes, changing networks.I have contacted my carrier and they tried everything I tried but still no joy. The signal is good but the calls fail and when someone phones me goes straight to voicemail.

VOIP can receive calls but can't start any

implementing VOIP on cisco3662 with 1 NM-HDV-30 and VWIC-1MFT-E1, when show voice port summary ,all the port are idle and dorm, when initial a call, the show voice port summary display that the port status is clearbk , and have not any tone, and about 1 minute, the call disconnect , when the other side call in , I can receive and works well,
when I debug voice ccapi inout debug cch323 h225, call out only display two lines messages, without the number who take the call
but call in display a lot of message with the calling number

Can receive calls, but can't make calls

I just bought an iPhone and successfully transferred my existing Cingular number/service and synced everything up with no problems, but I can't seem to make phone calls. I successfully made two calls, but I've tried at least 20 times with no success. Nothing at all happens. It says on the phone that it's calling, but I can't hear a thing. Yet, I can receive phone calls with no problem. What's the deal?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as now my old cell phone isn't working anymore and I need to be able to make calls!

Try powering down the phone and then turning it back on. Could be the towers are not picking it up properly, lots of times the connection is not picking up the phone correctly. worked for me for a couple different phones.

If you are referring to making calls to real phone numbers please ensure you put the country code in front of the number i.e. +1 for USA , +44 for UK

I have had signal problems since I have got this phone which is an s4 my wife s3 mini gets better signal while at the same location. Tried everything customer service doesn't know and now I can't even make or receive a call. I can though send and receive text and use data but when I try to make a call it just says dialing then quits. Anyone trying to call says it will ring until voicemail but I never got the call. Can anyone help

Yikes! I want you to be able to make phone calls on your cell phone! I would recommend what others have stated on here as well. Remove the sim card for a good 30 seconds while the phone is off. Then try to make the phone call again. Have you ever replaced the sim card on your device before? I receive calls but can't place a call. I send and receive messages and mails. I drop some water on top of the phone.

Accidentally I drop couple drops of water on the phone.
The phone still works perfect.
I send and receive mails, text messages, and I also can receive calls hear and talk.
But when I want to place a call i automatically receive error message.
I change my chip to other phone and worked perfect.
I try using a different sim on iPhone and has the same problem, just can't make a call.
I updated ios.
I restore to factory.
And still the same problem.
Can someone help me ?
Telephone company says they just cant help because is not line problem and "it seems they can't solve the hardware problem".

Try to Reset your device.
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears (ignore the Slide to Power Off that shows up first).

Verizon iPhone 6plus unable to receive calls but can receive texts

Hello, I have a Verizon iPhone 6plus (64GB Space Grey) and am unable to receive incoming calls, yet I'm able to place out-going calls and exchange texts with my contacts. I'm unsure how to proceed, I'm asking for assistance since I have seen that my issue is different then everyone else since I can call out and do text messaging. Any ideas on how to correct this issue? Do I need to speak with Verizon, since to me it seems like a network problem? Or do I need to go to my local Apple Store and request a genius bar appointment for assistance?

I suggest contacting or going to Verizon and have them try to resolve the issue, calling feature is a carrier feature.

Can't make or receive calls, but can send SMS messages?

Heyyy so a friend of mine, I was on the phone with her, and she dropped it. It's a 3G Curve on Verizon I believe. And now when I call her it gives me a fast busy tone. She can text me, but she can't call me. She's done a battery pull, turned on and off airplane mode, turned on and off bedtime mode, nothing seems to be working.
Any ideas?

You should receive a text from EE once your number port is 100% complete, but as already mentioned, it can take all day to complete.

going nuts. thought i had a great deal. bought a iphone at a flea market for 35 dollars . got a sim from straight talk and a monthly service . got old number from my tracfone transfered to the iphone, but phone says it is disabled and i cant call anything but emergency numbers. my friends can call in but i cant call out or use apps .

It might have been reported stolen and remotely disabled. You can try booting into recovery mode and then connecting to iTunes:

Screen goes black when making phone calls

Hi, I have started to use a new Xperia Z2 a short while ago. As soon as I am tapping the screen to call a phone number the screen goes black; I can hear the phone calling but can't see anything (not being able to turn on loudspeaker etc.). The sound works, and screen can be brought back to life when the call is finished. Same thing when I call with my Skype app - really annoying as the video mode in Skype doesn't function. When the call is finished from the other side, I can get the screen to light up again. What can I do to solve ths problem?

I've got very simillar problem with Xperia Z2 screen.
Not always, but very often when I want to end the conversation and take the phone away from my head, screen remains black.
Only power button can help, when I click it, screen pops up and then I can click "END CONVERSATION"
It's really annoying. What can I do, to make it work ?

Iphone G3 screen goes black after ending every call.

My iphone screen goes black after ending a call. Shouldn't I have to hit the "end call" button? I'm having to re-boot the phone after every call I make. Anyone else have similar issues?

I know that and it is not the problem nor an explanation.
Here is the issue I am referring to:
When someone calls, still during the conversation when I remove the phone from my ear (in order to access the key pad, for example), or in order to hand up, the screen goes black and the phone freezes.
In other words I cannot terminate the call or access the keys,as I remove the phone away from my ear it shuts down.
Any help???
