ANY TUTORIALS ON HOW TO EXTRACT A MATTE?

Hello,
I have a video clip and want to take out the background. Can anyone point me in the right direction of an online tutorial on how to do this?
I am a complete newbie to Motion.

hi,
there is no rotoscope tool as such. instead you use the mask tool to draw a mask, with as many points as you think you;re going to need. Not enough and the object will not look natural when its cut out, too many and it makes your life much much harder and can slow motion down. Its something that experience will tell you.
so you draw a mask around the object, and then say every four frames keyframe the position of the points on the mask to follow the object about. You can then step through it slowly to adjust any points that dont quite work, or add extra keyframes.
the motion implements drawing of the bezier curves and editing the points along it, is in my opinion, much easier than say illustrator or AE, but thats just me probably.

Adobe decided to discontinue development of Spry in August last year, and Dreamweaver CC made the switch to using jQuery UI widgets and effects. One reason for dropping Spry was that it failed to work correctly in some browsers. Judging from the fact that the jQuery UI menubar is now "on ice", creating a flyout menu that works reliably across all devices is proving more difficult than originally envisaged.
Because all other widgets in Dreamweaver CC use jQuery UI, it's a reasonable assumption that Adobe hoped the jQuery UI menubar would be ready in time, but it wasn't.

That's a pretty basic form built using an older version of Acrobat (not sure what you are using. This is the Reader forum by the way).

wondering if anybody knew where some tutorials are on this. when I crop an image say for an example a plank image even though the result ion is over 1k it still looks unclear. see how the one furniture image (2048 x 2048 ) looks clear compared to a cropped image that still has a resolution of 1845 x 395

You have to read up on how texturing actually works in the 3D program sense. You know, texture filtering settings, UV parametrization and whatnot. You image probably looks soft because you are forcing it to expand to the full UV range. You will need to tweak you actually mapping just as much as the image.

If this only involves enlarging something, you could also probably realize it just using Actionscript Tween coding rather than timeline animation.

The interactivity in a folio and that of an interactive PDF only overlap
in very small areas. There is no way to convert a folio to PDF.

I am designing a project where I have an image of a thumbnail paycheck. When you click it, it will enlarge into a callout. I'm thinking that you would have to build a movieclip of this image where it animates from small to large, but you build it into a button where, when you click down or mouse over, the movieclip plays which enlarges this image (almost like a pop out window, but not necessarily a new window, it's an animation). I hear you and I agree. Yes, some images lend themselves better to automated masking tools than others. I've had a few cases where the tools delivered spectacular results, and others where they wouldn't even get close. More often they help you get closer more quickly, then you have to do some hand touchup.
Some images where the process Russell describes worked pretty well...

I've tried safari, chrome, firefox...I've cleared the cache as well. This has been going on for several months and used to be tolerable as it was not every website. Now it has become every website and is impossible to deal with. My roommates computer and my cell phone connect fine. I'm fully connected to the router yet websites don't load. I'm using 10.7.5. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Any Complete Tutorials On How To Edit And Export MIDI Files In GB?

Hi. A friend sent me about 25 nice standard MIDI files that all open fine in QT Pro. She wants me to drag and drop them into GarageBand 2, attempt to edit them, change sounds and then export them out as the edited versions, key changes, added bars, change instrument sounds, etc,. Although I'm a trained musician who understands form, I really don't have a clue on how to use GB to edit and export standard MIDI files. Can this be done effectively in GB ver 2 or 3?
Basically what she then wants to do is take the edited MIDI tracks, put them into itunes I guess on her iBook G4 or Ipod and do a solo act playing her keyboard live and usibg the MIDI tracks as background.
Are there any links to step by step tutorials on how I can lerarn this procedure? Please offer any advice and links if you can and thanks for your help

Not really practical, I'm afraid. Capturing screenshots and cutting them up is possible with Photoshop, but PDF editing is very limited (fix a typo, move a picture).

In Editor, go to the expert tab.
Open picture B, the one you wish to select the radio from to add to another picture.
Use one of the selection tools, e.g. selection brush, lasso tool, to select the object. You will see an outline ("marching ants") once the selection is complete
Go to Edit menu>copy to copy the selection to the clipboard
Open picture A, then go to Edit>paste
Use the move tool to position object from picture B.
In the layers palette you should see picture A as the background layer, and the radio B on a separate layer.

Xpath in BPEL: How to extract from message type to string

Hi all,
I am currently trying to extract all content from a special message type to a string. The special message is really just simple XML.
However, I wish to convert the special domain specific message to a string to send to another partnerlink.
I figured that it would be a simple matter of using an assign / copy operation using the special message and the ora:getContentAsString function.
This does not work :-(
I get the following error in the domain log:
ORABPEL-05002
Message handle error.
An exception occurred while attempting to process the message "com.collaxa.cube.engine.dispatch.message.invoke.InvokeInstanceMessage"; the exception is: XPath expression failed to execute.
Error while processing xpath expression, the expression is "ora:getContentAsString(bpws:getVariableData('businessEventBody'))", the reason is FOTY0001: type error.
Please verify the xpath query.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this?

For this one also I can't Find any Datasource,
I find very Few Objects in the Datasource.
For this One, How to Extract the Data.

i need to know how to extract text from a pdf file?
does anyone know what is the character encoding in pdf file, when i use an input stream to read the file it gives encrypted characters not the original text in the file.
is there any procedures i should do while reading a pdf file,
