Any update for VNC from PC to Mac OS Lion?

Is anyone aware of any updates to the problem of using a VNC viewer on a PC to connect to OS Lion (running the OS Lion VNC server?)
I would prefer not to use a third party VNC server on my OS Lion computer. I am able to connect from a mac running SL to my mac running Lion no problem, however, still haven't found a way to connect to Lion from a PC!
I used to run TightVNC on a PC to connect to my SL mac and that worked fine, but ever since Lion, I have not found a PC VNC viewer that works with Lion's VNC server.
CAN ANYONE HELP?
I've tried running RealVNC Enterprise on the PC (RealVNC claims that the enterprise edition supports Lion) - but still didn't work. Someone told me that it only works if you run RealVNC Enterprise server on the mac too.. That's not what I want.
Any suggestions??

Same problem here.
This was already broadly discussed around. Some half-solutions exist. You can connect to mac from VNC viewer on pc under certain circuumstances which differ from case to case.
I was able to connect to my Lion from UltraVNC viewer, but was not able to type in the password while not logged in locally on the machine. This was discussed also. After several config changes and tries I just gave up.

What is more frustrating is the opposite - my OS X suddenly lost the ability to connect to the VNC server on pc.
From finder Go->Go To Server-> vnc://some.ip.address:5900 ... and nothing happens, no single message. System logs are clean.
At the same time I can reach the server from another pc based vpn client, and surprise: from my Lion using trial version of JollysFastVNC.

The problem that I have now is with the Iphone 5 which is not supported for the current Itunes and I can not download the Itunes 10.7 version. What I supposed to do in this case because I can not syncronize at all.

Mac OS X 10.5.8 is years old, 3 major versions out-of-date and unsupported at this point. You will never get any further updates for 10.5.8, and more and more applications will stop supporting 10.5.8 as time goes on. As mende1 points out, you can buy Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6), which will let you use your new iPhone with your computer, but you need to make sure your computer's hardware is supported. See the system requirements for Snow Leopard:

If your computer cannot run Snow Leopard, you will need to either buy a new computer or abandon any thoughts of syncing the iPhone with that computer.
Also, note that you'll get far better integration of your iPhone and your Mac if you're using Lion (Mac OS X 10.7) or Mountain Lion (Mac OS X 10.8), which are required to use iCloud. Of course, the requirements of those systems are even steeper than those of Snow Leopard:

Note the date and time the problem occurred, then go to Applications/Utilities/Console and copy the log starting at the time of the crash. Paste the log in a reply. Please do not use a screen shot as they can be hard to read. If there are repeated runs of the same messages, please post only one run. Be selective about what you post and don’t post huge amounts. Hae you tried to do a hard reset of your phone? This will not lose any data. Hold the sleep/wake button and the home button until the phone turns off ignoring any slide to power off messages. Then power the phone back on.

Is there an update for bridge from cs4

Since I'm having trouble with my new cs5 suite I was wondering if there were updates for bridge from my old cs4. I need an update to support a new camera.

Bridge does not "support" camera models. Only ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) does.
The last version of Bridge for CS4 is Bridge 3.0.0.64 and the last version of ACR for Photoshop CS4 is ACR 5.7.
If your camera is not supported by ACR 5.7, you would have to download the free, stand-alone Adobe DNG Converter 6.4 and convert your raw files to DNG raw files with it.
Bridge is just a file browser. It does not open or edit files, it just hands them over to the appropriate editor, whether that be ACR, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat or even MS Word. Bridge depends on ACR to bui8ld the thumbnails and previews for raw files.

It means that Apple is no longer producing the iPad 3rd generation....they are no longer making that version. The iPad 4 and the Mini iPad will both be running iOS 6 just like the iPad 3 is running (if you have updated) and there is no reason to believe that the iPad 3 will not be supported with software updates for some time to come.
So yes - you will be able to get software updates for the iPad 3 in the future.

This program will work with Quicken 2005, 2006 and 2007 data files directly. If you have a data file from an older version, such as I did, Quicken Deluxe 2002, you must use the PPC version of either Quicken 2006 or 2007 to update the data first; and then the data will work in Quicken 2007 for Lion.
For other PPC programs that require Rosetta, I installed Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels 7 in Lion:

Acrobat Updater for Yosemite from 9.0 - 9.5.5

Hello -
Attempting to run the updater to update to version 9.5.5, when the installer gets to "Installing Update" it pops-under a modal panel for "Install Extras" and waits on a response to that panel; unfortunately i can't bring that panel to the foreground because the updater panel is top most, so i can't click on Continue to unblock the install process.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

I have exactly the same problem with my new computer. There are downloadable updaters on Adobe FTP site but I coudn't sucessfully use any of them...
The way I solved the problem is that I copied the entire Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro folder from my old mac (that one was already at 9.5.5) and then replaced the recently installed folder (I believe it was 9.3.x) on my new mac. Worked like a champ!
The other thing I noticed but didn't try is that after failed attempt to update to 9.5.5 In acrobat Pro Help menu you can hit Repair Acrobat Installation. This way it lets you uncheck the dreaded Adobe PDF viewer safari plugin and hit Continue. But I was too lazy to try and run the update again because it takes forever to download the updater.

OSX 10.8.5 Can't install any updates for any of my 3rd party software

Hi Guys
Don't know if any of you out there can help me but for some reason I am unable to install any unpdates for ANY of my third party software on my System Drive or any other drive for that matter. I continually get the little yellow triangle on the drive icon at the "destination select" stage of any update installation. Ive never had this problem before and it's only been happending over the last week and i haven't changed any OSX settings. Also im logged in as the Administrator and have the permissions set to read & write to all my drives.
Has anyone experienced this too?????

If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS. You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need your backup unless something goes wrong. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it.

Ever since I upgraded my iphone4 to ios6 I can't get stable connection with home wifi. I am sitting less than 5 feets from the router. My iphone either cannot find the hotspot or getting very weak signal. And it's so weak it will break every two minutes. My ipad is running ios5 and it connects instantly. My ipad can find dozens of hotspots; my iphone can't even find my home wifi.
Yes, I have tried every solution on the web, changing my router setting, reset network setting, recover to orginal settings.... NONE OF THEM WORKED. It is obvious a software problem. IOS6 does not support my router as it did in IOS5.
Seriously, if Apple does not fix this problem, I'm gonna switch the system.
