Any update on the 2.1 mail saga?

Apologies is this is in the wrong forum
But has there been any update on the whole 2.1 update being 'over conservative' with power, by which I mean managing to almost kill push and fetch when the phone is sleeping?
It's been a while now and it's getting a little annoying that theres no update

No updates, no. A few threads, including one very long (and continued)) one, but no fix.
We hope it will be addressed in v2.2. No one knows when v2.2 will be released, but it has been seeded to developers so it should not be too long.

You can trun off the notification by GP
Run gpedit.msc to launch the group policy editor, then locate to
Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Store, in the right pane, find and enable`turn off the offer to update to the latest version of windows'
run gpupadte /force to update the policy.
You can also turn off "automatically update your apps", open Windows Store, the move the mouse to right pane, on the charm bar, click "Settings"\"Add updates", then turn off "Automatically update my apps".

Mac OS X 10.5.8 is years old, 3 major versions out-of-date and unsupported at this point. You will never get any further updates for 10.5.8, and more and more applications will stop supporting 10.5.8 as time goes on. As mende1 points out, you can buy Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6), which will let you use your new iPhone with your computer, but you need to make sure your computer's hardware is supported. See the system requirements for Snow Leopard:

If your computer cannot run Snow Leopard, you will need to either buy a new computer or abandon any thoughts of syncing the iPhone with that computer.
Also, note that you'll get far better integration of your iPhone and your Mac if you're using Lion (Mac OS X 10.7) or Mountain Lion (Mac OS X 10.8), which are required to use iCloud. Of course, the requirements of those systems are even steeper than those of Snow Leopard:

Any updates on the remote Menu button

I haven't seen anything lately on the issue of using the remote's "Menu" button to access play lists etc when the video ipod is hooked up to a TV via the doc and an AV cable. Are there any updates on this? I am getting kind of tired of having to walk over to the TV to change playlists, etc. etc.

Well, I am taking about something a little different. Your link refers to what you see on your TV screen. I can get by without mirroring, its the remote i want to work better.
When the 'iPod Dock with Remote' originally came out, a lot of us assumed that the "menu" button would work the same way as the "menu" button on the ipod itself, i.e. it would take you back one level. We also assumed that the volume keys would let you scroll up and down through items in a menu (not as elegant as the scroll wheel, but workable). And that the RWD and FWD buttons would work as they do on the ipod. All of this taken together would give you full operation of your ipod without having to touch it. Adding screen mirroring would be the icing on the cake for the dedicated couch potato.
Unfortunately, the menu button is disabled on the remote when it comes to controlling an ipod... it only works for front row on a mac.
Anyway, a lot of us were hoping this could get resolved through some kind of firmware upgrade to the ipod itself.

If history is any indication there will be no further update. The Nano is only running the Pixo OS so what you have listed may not be feasible.

While none of us here can say with certainly, it's likely that iOS 5.1.1 is the last version of iOS that an iPad 1 will run.
As to a "waste of money", has your iPad stopped working just because a new version of iOS was released that the iPad won't run? Our iPad 1s haven't just ceased fallen over, even though they can only run iOS 5.1.1, and are in valuable use every day. But perhaps yours did indeed somehow stop being useful. If so, I'd recommend selling it and buying something else that you think would better suit your expectations.

I got my upgraded phone (LG Extrovert to Droid RAZR M) last night and haven't had service since it was activated. I am able to access 4G, Wifi, and text, but am unable to make or receive any phone calls at all. I'm currently located in Emporia, KS, but have heard reports of this being an issue in other parts. I know that I'm not the only person experiencing this issue but was curious if anyone had an update as to when service might be back up and running? Any update on the Store credit issue

Ok, I normally use gift cards for credit to buy music and videos from the store. But now it's not letting me use credit. Any news on when they'll let us use store credit again?

This isn't really an update but out of curiosity, I tried to use my iPhone to purchase the song iTunes wouldn't let me do and ironically, it worked like normal. Doesn't help me purchase the videos I want, but at least I got my song. Going to try to purchase through my AppleTV next and see if that works.
