Any users of Flip4Mac?
I am using Compressor to transcode a QT file to a .wmv. I have done this before but don't remember how long it took... My time remaining is 3 hours for a 1 hour program. Does this sound about right?
3 hours of transcoding for every 1 hour of footage?

I meant "fun to use" for a Microsoft product. My point was mostly there is nothing from Apple that even comes close to WMV Encoder's utility, relative ease of use (if you can tolerate Winderz), vast array of features and capabilities and cost (free).
We are forced to use it regularly for transcoding to WMP formats and we have used it often for live events.
I despise Cleaner almost as much as I loathe Photoshop and Motion and, when it comes to cost, WMV Encoder beats the poop out of Cleaner which is $400 or $600, I think.

Error while provisioning resource object to any user
I get below error while trying to provision or reconcile any user to AD resource object. This was working fine till yesterday and suddenly started behaving otherwise.
This error occurs while provisioning to the user i.e., as we de-selected auto save option on the process definition, it does not show up the process form while manually provisioning the resource instead show DOBJ.UPDATE_FAILED error on the web console.
I tried provisioning the resource by removing all the pre-populate adapters from the process form with no luck
This is on OIM 9.1.0.2 BP12
Has anyone faced similar issue before or any pointers to resolve this ??

Is there any user exit/ badi to populate the partner bank type (field name BSEG-BVTYP) in transaction F-63. There is exit ZFI_FOAP_CDITEMS_00001011 having BKPF and BSEG as only import parameters so I cant change the value for BSEG-BVTYP.
So could you please let me know any exit where I can change the value for BSEG-BVTYP for transaction F-63?

Oracle 10g 10.2.0.1.0 - Unable to log with any user

I have Oracle 10g R2 10.2.0.1.0. Recently, I enabled ARCHIVELOG on my server as I wanted to migrate the database to a new server. After one day, I tried to access the database using any user apart from SYS or SYSTEM but I could not log in.
I investigated further and this is what happened:
1. When i try to connect to the database using SQLDeveloper with SCOTT, it gives me a message confirming that it has successfully connected to the database.
2. But after that, i cannot access any of my tables/views for this user as it again tries to load the database on the client. SQL developer hangs and I have to terminate the process to restart the client.
When I try using SQL Plus and log in using sqlplus sys@orcl as sysdba; I can connect to the database, but when I try sqlplus scott@orcl; I get this error,
ERROR:
ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified
Please HELP!!! i am really stuck!!!OK... a new one.. after I try what you suggested, sqlplus is stuck after I enter the password:

Yes you can reset the password for any body using ABAP Code. But for that you really don't need any client number.
If this process is on regular basis, then recommended is to use BAPI for changing the user details Otherwise BDC also works fine.
=> Function Module - BAPI_USER_CHANGE
Call this in the program for resetting the password.
=> CALL TRANSACTION 'SU01' USING InternalTable
This will be executed in the BDC of SU01 transaction recording. Use the Password Change button in the application toolbar of transaction while recording.

I changed my username and now afp doesn't show any users. I have file sharing on. And also when I select "get more info" on the shared folders they don't have my username in there. it just has "applepc(me)" my old username before changing it showed the correct username? please any help would be great.
Turn Time Machine OFF temporarily in its preference pane. Leave the window open.
Navigate in the Finder to your backup disk, and then to the folder named "Backups.backupdb" at the top level of the volume. If you back up over a network, you'll first have to mount the disk image file containing your backups by double-clicking it. Descend into the folder until you see the snapshots, which are represented by folders with a name that begins with the date of the snapshot. Find the one you want to restore from. There's a link named "Latest" representing the most recent snapshot. Use that one, if possible. Otherwise, you'll have to remember the date of the snapshot you choose.
Inside the snapshot folder is a folder hierarchy like the one on the source disk. Find one of the items you can't restore and select it. Open the Info dialog for the selected item. In the Sharing & Permissions section, you may see an entry in the access list that shows "Fetching…" in the Name column. If so, click the lock icon in the lower right corner of the dialog and authenticate. Then delete the "Fetching…" item from the icon list. Click the gear icon below the list and select Apply to enclosed items from the popup menu.
Now you should be able either to copy the item in the Finder or to restore it in the time-travel view. If you use the time-travel view, be sure to select the snapshot you just modified. If successful, repeat the operation with the other items you were unable to restore. You can select multiple items in the Finder and open a single Info dialog for all of them by pressing the key combination option-command-I.
When you're done, turn TM back ON and close its preference pane. -

How to hide "Any User" participant from "Request more information" notifica
Can anyone help me on oracle workflow notification?
When a notification is send to the adjustor and if adjustor wants to ask for more information to the Validator then he will press “Request more Information” button after clicking on the button adjustor would be able to fill the requested information as well as there are 2 participant 1. Workflow participant and 2. Any user. my requirement is to hide the “Any user” option from the notification where we have "All employees and users" option in the dropdown.

I cant use encryption because i need people to be able to read the code, I cant use trigger because we arent able to add triggers to system tables.
Any ideas?You cannot prevent from the logins who are members of sysadmin role to modify stored procedures.
If you DENY ALTER SCHEMA then the user won't be able to issue any DDL changes (CREATE, ALTER, DROP) that affect objects in that schema

I have configured several WLANs with WPA2 and 8021.x which authenticate users through Radius server (Windows Internet authentication service) that conects with an Active Directory, into the AD exists one user group for each WLAN but the problem is that any user that was added to some group can get access to any WLAN, does anyboby know if I need some configuraion on the WLC to restric that?

I have done some test modifying the Radius Policy to look at called station ID and test too looking at the NAS-ID, In the first case, I change the Call Station ID Type into WLC RADIUS Authentication Servers configuration to AP MAC Address:SSID and AP Name:SSID and into the Radius Server using .*:SSID-NAME$ and SSID-NAME$ ,but it blocks access for any user. In the second case, I change the NAS-ID into WLC WLAN and interface confguration and into the radius server Policy to match all, but it doesn´t have any impact, what other test could I try?

I have a requriement where while creating Vendors they have configured in such a way that it has to be approved for all the create and change vendors. since there is some sensitive information like bank accounts and names .
now we have changed the requriement where in we need to restrict the information only for certain conditions
vendor employee account group B007 and company code 2001 and for rest they donot need any approval and can be directly created or changed.
Is there any user exit or any other way where we can put this restriction.
We cannot put the configuration for specific requirements either the configuration is on or off in total.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In XK02 if we change any of the Sensitive fields(like name bank account,bank key...). then it pops up a message that document is saved but needs to be confirmed.
For confirmation we need to login to FK08 and then press the confirm buttom for that vendor.
Now our requirement is we need that confirmation for some vendor employee account group B007 and company code 2001 and for rest they donot need any approval and can be directly created or changed.
As Suggested by Himanshu and You I have been in touch with the Basis guys for the creation of a Z object and authorization so that i can call the Authorization object in the user exit.
they too are not sure. so i need to confirm them so that they can go ahead with the creation of the z object. Since this involves business we need to tell them if this is possible or not fore hand and take their approval.
Can you suggest if we are going in the right direction.
