Any way of legally obtaining previous versions of iOS?

I read other posts concerning reverting the software on iPhones and iPod touches, (some very lengthy), but all answers were most times simply "No." I have a 5th gen. iPod touch which I recently updated to iOS 7. I enjoyed the new look of iOS 7 for the first few days, but I am now bored by the UI. I miss the nostaligic look of iOS 6 and previous generations, and would also like to revert my software back to a previous version. I do not see any need, and do not plan on, having my iPod connected to the internet, so I see no risk in running a previous generation of software. I am wondering if there is any legitimate way of obtaining a previous version of iOS.
If the case is no, I am complaining to any Apple employees who on the off chance may be reading this post (Don't know why they would be in the community forum) I believe for developer and other purposes, previous versions of iOS should be at the disposal of all with Apple products that have or are capable of running them.

There is no Apple supported means and you will void your warranty if you use other means.
There are no Apple employees reading here.

Because i really comfortable with Photoshop CS 4.
    Thank you very much.

Only newer versions of ACR are.  All other bloat is not.
I have all Photoshop versions of Photoshop from v.5.0.x through Photoshop 13.0.6 on my Macs.
I find myself working in CS4 for most of my Photoshop editing, using CS6 13.0.6 only for the ACR to PSD conversion and whatever editing can be done in ACR.  Both versions run simultaneously on my desktop Mac Pro all the time.
By all means do download the trial version.  I've been able to discard a whole bunch of upgrades that way in Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat, as well as avoid buying Lightroom and all other Adobe applications.
Adobe's trial versions are a wonderful feature and a much appreciated, rare courtesy by Adobe.

  • Is there any way to open a previous version of a psd?

While I was trying to convert an image to a pdf it would not save the item correctly. My computer was having problems with the large size of the item so I was going to restart. I saved the image as a psd so I would not lose the final version of the document i was creating and now that I have opened the psd again the image is flattened to just one layer instead of the 35ish layers i was playing with. Is there any way I can recover the psd that was previously made before the last save.

No, not unless you use something like Time Machine (Mac) or File History (Windows).
From my own testing, File History doesn't actually work very well, and isn't a good substitute for a regular backup process.
You could recover your file from your last regular backup.  You are doing backups, right?  You should be; I recommend nightly.
There is a gotcha reported from time to time where when saving files as PDF, then later saving as PSD, the layers end up getting flattened (or maybe it's an option that gets turned off, I can't recall).  I remember the takeaway was that it pays to look at the Save As options ([ ] Layers setting?) as a habit when saving.  I'm sorry I don't remember the specifics any better right now.  Maybe it will come to me.

Chris, I certainly don't mind additional questions and postings.
I believe there are many issues with Apple Loops and Logic that need to be resolved and people need to be aware of that. Unfortunately, in opposite to the old "german" version of Logic , there's no lifetime tech support, you can't even call and ask the question after 60 days , which isn't right for a professional software of this level, especially considering the fact that many things still remain vague in Logic even for developers and tech support people!( believe me, I've called and asked!)
Issues like that need to be resolved over the phone with the company, period!
One thing I also learned over the years as a Mac OSX user, if something doesn't work, don't mess with it. Delete your drive and re-install everything. This is very frustrating , I know, but unfortunately this is the only way to deal with OSX issues, if you got a problem with your system, don't try to fix it. It's never gonna be the same again. I know , it's off the topic a little bit, but if your content is missing from the system files, before installing your new Logic, back up your important files, wipe up your drive and clean install Mac OSX , run updates and then install the Logic. Most likely , everything will be in it's place, at least 90% or more. I gave up trying to make two system in my house to be compatible 100% , but it's OK if they're 90% or more identical. I spent enormous amount of time trying to find out what's missing and where, I visited most of the forums and there's no clean answer.

The plugin shows on the list as enabled and functioning, yet the tool does not show on the toolbar. It would appear that I need to restore the previous version of Firefox and wait until a newer release of the plugin is available before upgrading the browser.

I copied the iTunes file from the external drive and it's in both places.  I thought all I would need is the iTunes program (which I downloaded to new computer) and my iTunes library file.  There must be something else that's missing.  My iTunes library looks the same on the new computer as it does when I open it on the external drive.  If I click on an iTunes library song from my new computer, it will only play if I have the external drive plugged in.
My back-up drive is a mess.  I have multiple copies of music, video, photo, and document files and I don't know how that happened. ={  Obviously, I don't know how to back up stuff properly and there are back-up files extending over a 6- to 8-year period.  I think all I did was just drag and drop the main folders from the back-up drive to the same main folders on the C: drive.  Also (and I'm kind of fuzzy on this) Windows used to automatically save music files in a folder within my document files (which makes no sense to me).  As my Jewish friends would say, "Oy Vey!"

I am using Mac OS X 10.6.8, and I need to download Adobe Digital Editions. Is there any way to download an earlier version so I don't have to upgrade my system?

    OT,
I have the exact same question as heathy32 (I just want to get a photobook ordered, but I'm currently running iPhoto 7.1.5 with OS X 10.6.8 and discovered right at the end of the process of making this photobook that it's no longer supported with the versions I have) but I just wanted to check something with you before I proceed with the iLife 11 disk...
Namely: do I need download the iPhoto Library Upgrader first?
There seem to be issues discussed in other forums about the Upgrader, I want to make sure I don't do something like downloading it if that isn't strictly necessary.
I am perfectly happy just to install iPhoto 9 and upgrade to 9.2.3 using the updater you link to, just so long as I can get a photo book printed!
Once that is safely out of the way, I intend to upgrade to Maverick etc.
    Your thoughts very welcome
    Thank you.

  • Is there any way I can upgrade to version 6 rather than IOS7?

Is there any way I can upgrade to version 6 rather than IOS7?

No.  iTunes and over the air updates work by detecting your hardware, and then only offer the latest available version of iOS compatible with that hardware.  Older releases will simply not be available for hardware.

That refers to free disk space, not RAM. If your computer has 4GB of RAM, that's enough. If it only has 4GB of free disk space, you need to delete content from the internal drive; for best results, free up at least 20GB.

No, all content (music, books, movies and apps) bought from iTunes and App Stores using one Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.

Unfortunately the only way to recover content from a backup is to restore the whole device from that backup. You cannot selectively restore files from a backup.
