Any way to edit "None" label?

...I know it's a very minor issue, but I have a lot of clips with labels. The clips without labels, I can ignore. But it would just make life a smidgeon easier if instead of "None", the label field was just empty/blank - I have a label called "Done" which looks very similar to "None". I know I could use the "Label 2" column, but this doesn't assign a pretty colour to the clip! I could edit "my" labels to something more noticeably like "-----Done-----" I suppose.
As I said, a minor issue but mildly annoying. Any suggestions, greatly appreciated!

no - "None" is not an editable label like the others.
Maybe I'll just edit one of the labels to be blank and assign that to them. even though I've already got them all set up just how I want them - ie. all the labels have been used up!
Good suggestion to just use "finished". Maybe I'll just stop being so picky!

  • Any way to edit words in spell checker?

    Since updating to ios5, my spell checker no longer recognizes my name when I type it in a message and tries to change it.  Any way to edit the words in the spell checker list so that it will again recognize my name?

    You can't edit the spell checked but you can press the little red x when it offers a suggestion.  Do this a few times and it won't offer that any more.  See p. 25 of the User Guide.

    Hi
    Wrong..
    To assign tracks to a group, click in the dark gray box just above the automation (Read/Write/Off etc) on a channel strip, and select the group number you wish to use. The first tim eyou assign a group, the Group Setting swindow will appear automatically, thereafter you need to click on the group area and choose 'Open Group Settings'.
    Make sure that you have turned off Group Clutch (this disables all Groups)

    Hello Alex,
    I 've just checked my webbeans and the COLUMN_NAME_LABEL property is not use by the EditCurrentRecord, FindForm and RowsetBrowser webbeans.
    I had the following line to my custom EditCurrentRecord, FindForm and RowSetBrowser.
    So I can set Column display name ones for each webbeans.
    It's better than do it with different methods for each webbeans!!!!
    if((String)qView.getProperty(attrs[attrNo].getColumnName() + "_LABEL") != null)
    rField.setPromptText((String)qView.getProperty(attrs[attrNo].getColumnName() + "_LABEL"));
    In the ViewCurrentRecord something was done but with errors. Oracle Developers used getName() method instead of getColumnName()!!! So I rewrite it.
    if((String)qView.getProperty(attrs[attrNo].getName() + "_LABEL") != null)
    sHeader = (String)qView.getProperty(attrs[attrNo].getName() + "_LABEL");
    Hope this will help!
    Email if you need more.

  • Is there any way to edit the standard Firefox context menu for displayed Web pages?

    Is there any way to edit the standard Firefox context menu for displayed Web pages? I frequently want to save a picture appearing on a page. Sometimes I "slip" and hit "Send Image" when I want "Save Image As", and have to sit and wait for a default send-mail page to come up, then close it, fiddling with its "are you sure" dialogs. This is a painful way to handle a slip-up. I basically NEVER want to e-mail an element directly from a page. Is there any way I can just delete "Send Image" from the context menu?

    You can remove entries in the context menu with code in the userChrome.css file
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/userChrome.css
    Some IDs are listed in this MozillaZine Knowledge Base article:
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Chrome_element_names_and_IDs
    To find the ID of others you will have to use the DOM Inspector.

  • Is there any way to edit the autocorrect dictionary?

    Autocorrect is potentially very useful, but it keeps throwing up mistakes and pointless alternatives. Is there any way to edit this list?
    FOR EXAMPLE: Whenever I type the word "word", iphone throws up "'Word" - complete with unwanted single-quote and capital W - and if I don't spot it in time, it inserts it. Another mistake is when it 'corrects' 'me' to 'mr', despite the fact that I don't normally use 'mr'.
    Is there any way to remove unwanted words in the autocorrect dictionary? Tapping the unwanted word - with its little 'x' at the end - doesn't delete the word from its use the next time. Furthermore, is there a way of ADDING a word that I know I'm going to need in the future? (Such as a friend's name)

    You can reset the dictionary back to default from the keyboard settings (or was it Reset area), either way, can reset the dictionary. No way to edit it. me should be more popular than mr and now sure why it is doing the Word thing.

  • Is there any way to assign colored labels to events?

    Is there any way to assign colored labels to events without having to create numerous calendars?

    You can use numactl to lock any process to a NUMA node, but that only helps if your machine really is NUMA (AMD Opteron servers are, Itanium systems often are).
    You should be able to enumerate nodes using:
    numactl -H
    And lock the process to a node using for instance:
    numactl cpubind=$node_num membind=$node_num java MyClass
    It is hardware dependent how many CPUs and how much memory you have per node. A common number of CPUs is 1-4 sockets.

  • Is there any way to prevent non-root users from rebooting the system?

    This question seems to be addressed many times on the web, but the problem is that none of the wannabe-howtos work on my system. In particular, this doesn't work and this doesn't work either, because (1) I need to keep policykit installed for udisks and other dependencies to function and (2) renaming (or removing) the file /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.freedesktop.login1.policy has (again) no effect on the users' ability to reboot and shut down the system. Even more surprisingly, adding the following to /etc/polkit-1/rules.d/20-disable-shutdown.rules has no effect at all:
    polkit.addRule(function(action, subject) {
    if (
    action.id == "org.freedesktop.login1.power-off" ||
    action.id == "org.freedesktop.login1.reboot" ||
    action.id == "org.freedesktop.login1.suspend" ||
    action.id == "org.freedesktop.upower.suspend" ||
    action.id == "org.freedesktop.login1.hibernate" ||
    action.id == "org.freedesktop.upower.hibernate"
    return polkit.Result.NO;
    As a result, ordinary users (not in the wheel group and with no special permissions) can simply reboot the machine by typing reboot. I remember that a simple polkit rule (as proposed on the Fedora forum) worked fine just a few months ago, but this doesn't work nowadays. The action IDs mentioned there are no longer listed in pkaction, so it's quite obvious that some changes (and bugs) have been introduced since then. I just need to prevent the users from rebooting the machine and to keep policykit installed. Is there any way to do this?

    karol wrote:Do said users have the ability to push the Power or Reset buttons?
    No, they don't.
    But come on, access permissions are a matter of principle rather than a matter of what you can possibly do with a hammer in your hand. That makes your question somewhat irrelevant to this issue. Imagine someone asking: "How can I protect my home directory from access by other users?" You would then probably ask: "Do said users have the ability to pull out the hard drive and mount it on their computer?"
    Even if the users had physical access to the ACPI buttons, rebooting the computer by mistake (via software) would still be much more likely than pressing (or even holding) the ACPI buttons by mistake.
    If I call rm -Rf / as a normal user, nothing should happen to the system in terms of availability to other users. Only my home directory and temporary files would vanish, but that's all. This is what permissions are there for. Similarly, when I type reboot as a normal user (no matter if I'm on SSH, on a local terminal or logged into KDE), it should be possible to simply disallow rebooting.
    The idea that users logged in locally can restart the computer may be fine for laptops under certain conditions, but it is a bad idea in almost all other cases. In a "kiosk" type environment, for example, the ability to reboot and get to the bootloader can be a huge security hole, unless all your disks are encrypted, and a huge "reliability hole" in any case. Suppose you use a desktop as a home server. You want everyone to be able to log in and to connect a USB flash drive (using polkit and udisks). But you simply don't want the machine to be rebooted. Why is such a simple thing so hard to do?

  • Is there any way to prevent non-admin user accounts to receive software update prompts?

    I am the admin account user on our MacBook Pro, and there is one standard user account on it as well. Generally we are both logged on so we can quickly switch between user accounts and 'spin the desktop'.
    For some reason, all the software update notifications seem to be received when the standard user account is the active one.
    I know that the standard user cannot actually update without my account password and my Apple ID, but a) The notifications confuse the non-admin user, and she gets flustered, and b) Even if she manages to cancel them from the notification area, she then has to remember to tell me verbally that she had had one.
    Is there any way to stop her receiving the update notifications altogether?
    Running OS X 10.8.2 on MacBook Pro.
    Thanks in advance.

    You should be able to do this by unchecking the software update service in the system preferences to prevent the system from running the check as the "_softwareupate" user and passing it to the notification service that broadcasts to all user accounts. Then you can check for the software update in an admin account using the following Terminal line:
    /System/Library/CoreServices/Software Update.app/Contents/Resources/SoftwareUpdateCheck -Check YES
    This line can be scripted via Terminal services to run on a schedule (ie, every few hours), and if there are found updates it will launch the App Store for that account and present them. Granted this approach circumvents the notification service, but should work. To try this, open TextEdit on your computer and in a new document choose "Make Plain Text" from the Format menu.
    Then copy and paste the following text into the new document:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0">
    <dict>
              <key>Label</key>
              <string>local.softwareupdatecheck</string>
              <key>ProgramArguments</key>
              <array>
                        <string>/System/Library/CoreServices/Software Update.app/Contents/Resources/SoftwareUpdateCheck</string>
                        <string>-Check</string>
                        <string>YES</string>
              </array>
              <key>StartInterval</key>
              <integer>21600</integer>
    </dict>
    </plist>
    When done, save the document to your desktop as "softwareupdatecheck.plist" or anything as long as it ends with ".plist." Then get information on the file in the Finder to ensure its name ends with plist and not anything else like "plist.txt" (rename it accordingly in the Info window's "Name & Extension" section.
    With the file name appropriate, hold the Option key and choose the "Library" option in the Finder's "Go" menu. Then locate the folder called "Launch Agents" in the library and drag the text file to this folder. Then log out and log back into your account.
    This text file is a launch agent script that instructs the system to run the program arguments every 21600 seconds (6 hours) whenever the user is logged in. The program arguments here are simply those to check for software updates for the system. You can change this time interval to be any number of seconds you would like, but there are other options to use besides the "StartInterval" key for scheduling the task. This approach simply has it repeat every number of seconds, but you can use other options to have it only run on specific hours or days, or only have it run once when you log in, etc.
    If this works for you, then if you'd like to explore these other options write back here and we can go over them for you.

  • Is there any way to transfer non-itunes store music to your iTunes?

    I kind of killed my macbook, and it had to go to mac support and in order to make it happy and shiny again they had to wipe all of its memory.
    Now, I've restored the song purchased on itunes to my itunes, but
    1. The iTunes/MacBook doesn't seem to be living harmoniously with my iPod, any way to make them realise they are long-time friends?
    2. Is there anyway to switch my non-iTunes-purchased stuff to my MacBook from my iPod.
    3. Finally if no. 2 can't be done, since I've already transfered the purchased stuff from my iPod onto my itunes library again, should I just choose the "Erase and Sync" option since when I connect them it gives me a ramble then the options " Cancel", "Transfer Purchases" which I've already hit/done, or "Erase and Sync" because I know the last will mean that I will have to put all my CDs back on, but alas, that may be what I have to do, but will that at least make them live harmoniously again with my purchased stuff safe?
    Sorry about the length of the question, and thanks to whomever reads it.
    Ashlee

    2. Is there anyway to switch my non-iTunes-purchased stuff to my MacBook from my iPod.
    Try Senuti.
    It's a program that transfers music from iPod to iTunes on a Mac.
    As is Music Rescue.
    There's also a similar program called Yamipod which has a Mac version.
    I've used all of these on a Mac with great success.
    If you want to retrieve playlists, iPodRip has the feature enabling you to reconstruct them.

  • Is there any way to edit something in Premiere Pro if the (original) file is Windows Moviemaker?

    Hi!
    I always work with Premiere Pro CS6. A friend just asked to do a final edit (and export) of her video.
    But... she worked with Windows Moviemaker. Is there any way I can change or convert this file so that I can do the final edit in Premiere?

    I doubt there's a conversion that will enable you to import/convert a native Moviemaker project file into PP.
    You probably know this already, but the only way might be for your friend to export the timeline in a compatible format (AVI or MOV) and import to PP and pick up the edit from that point.
    I don't know Moviemaker, but you may be able to export individual video/ audio layers (as AVI or MOV), and reassemble them in PP.
    A PITB, but sometimes it's the only way.

  • Is there any way to edit phone number hyperlinks received in SMS messages prior to calling them?

    Just got a new iPhone 4s for work.  I receive text messages from an answering service containing phone numbers to return calls.  On my Windows smartphone, when I clicked the hyperlink for the phone number, it gave me the option to edit the number (for example, to add an area code prefix or *67 to block my number) prior to dialing.  Is there any way to do this on the iPhone 4s

    If not part of your iPhone backup, they are gone.

  • Is there any way to report Non Trade Material/ Consumable Item in Intrastat

    Hi Experts,
    Is there any way to report a non trade material for which we do not have a material master, in our intrastat report.
    During Purchase order creation we will enter Account assignment as K and in the text enter teh description of material.
    Can somebody help.
    My opinion is that it should have a material number to have a commodity code.
    Rgds
    Arpit

    I think that there is no way to do that.
    You can create a parallel branch of the dimension (in the same generation) which includes those entities that only have data (members tagged as Shared Members).
    Sorry for my basic english.

    Gustavo.
