Any way to eliminate all artwork in my iTunes library?

I thought it would be nice to be able to see the album artwork when I played music in iTunes, but I didn't realize it would load all the artwork of every single album and change the appearance of my music library . I really liked being able to scroll my iTunes library as a simple list, but now it's way too big to conveniently see what I have.

Cindyluhu, you are welcome. One reason it is great to keep the artwork, is if you start playing a big playlist and select VIEW->COVER FLOW VIEW, you get a jukebox-like display that shows the artwork for each song as it plays. There is an expand button at the lower right of the display which you can click to make the dynamic artwork fill the entire screen (kind of a slide show). I listen to my music while exercising, and it is great to have the artwork display as the songs come up. Later, when I want to peruse my library, I go back to LIST VIEW, just as you prefer, and for the same reason.
Tokyomarks, that is an excellent idea! But I would need to make the songs that don't have my own artwork into a playlist, so that I could select it and delete all the iTunes-installed artwork. I could probably do that by using a keyword in the COMMENT column as the basis for forming the smart playlist. Thanks for the tip!

I love itunes version 7, but one thing I miss: in the old itunes you could pick the "library" view and see everything you had in one view: music, podcasts, etc. This was useful because I liked to see the "date added" feature to get rid of the old podcasts in order of the oldest first - to make space on my harddrive. But now there is no single "libary" view, but rather they are separated by category: podcasts, etc. Under the podcasts they are separated by show, so I have to go through each show individually to get rid of the old ones.
Is there any way I can simply list everything at once? Or is there a way so that when I add new podcasts it will get rid of the old ones automatically?

The best workaround I'm aware of comes courtesy of BMan1854: Create a Smart Playlist that will Match the following rule: Date Added is after 01/01/2001 (or whatever the day before the day that you first started your iTunes Library is). That playlist will show your entire library.
Or is there a way so that when I add new podcasts it will get rid of the old ones automatically?
Have you gone to the iTunes Edit menu > Preferences > Podcasts tab and checked out the various options listed in the Keep drop-down menu.

Lost my music, is there any way to get it back through "previous itunes library" file?

About a 2 months ago I had to update my iTunes library, leading to this mess. The update told me that it didn't finish and that there was an error, so I had to reinstall all of my itunes. This led to all my songs having an exclamation point next to them. I didn't know how to get the music to each file so I got frustrated and deleted them. Then I found all of my songs and dragged them into itunes. Now, all my play counts, date of purchases, playlists, ratings, etc. are gone!! I noticed that there are "previous itunes libraries", one of which is from a couple days before all this happened. It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer files/docs/pics/music/etc.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy (not good), then you can transfer from an ipod: File>Transfer Purcahses
You buy one and only one download. it is your responsibility to move copy/backup your purchases.

I am finding the laborious process of clicking through page by page in cover view annoying to the extreme to search new additions to the available film sales lists every week or so. The display page is always slightly deeper than my window so it means having to scroll down to view the last row of covers and click next page.

Is there any chance of having an auto scrolling (with pause and previous/next feature) film cover flow with description view of each film large enough to view the image, preferably filling the screen, perhaps also a feature in Front Row that will show available films to buy/rent in iTunes or an RSS screen saver that could give you a constant update of the last 10/20 films added?
Something that will make the task of searching for titles you might like to buy less of a 'task' and more intuitive. I don't really want to browse by Genre and a Cover image only view tells you nothing about the film.
If the screen in front of me gave me a constantly (controllable when required) changing view, similar to the content displayed in Front Row of a title you have selected i'd be happy.

Apple does not transfer content bought with one Apple ID to another Apple ID. Apple will not merge two Apple IDs.
If most of your content was bought with the Yahoo! Apple ID but you now want the Gmail address for your Apple ID, the trick will be to change the address used for the Yahoo ID with the Gmail address. However, to do that you must first free the Gmail address from that other Apple ID. Use the instructions from Apple to substitute another address that is not used as an Apple ID for your Gmail address in the Apple ID with the Gmail address. Then, when the Gmail address is no longer used in an Apple ID, you can use the same instructions to substitute the Gmail address for the Yahoo address in the Apple ID with the Yahoo address.

Is there any way to edit all the transitions in a project at the same time?

I chose "insert with transition" when adding clips to my timeline, but the default is set for one second, which is longer than I'd like. I know how to change the duration of each transition one at a time, but is there any way to select all the transitions (there's about 90 of them) and adjust the duration for all of them at the same time?
That's my main question, but I also would like to change the default cross-dissolve transition to be 15 frames instead of 30 for future projects. Anybody know if I can do that? I know I can create a 15 frame cross-dissolve and make it a "favorite", but it seems it would just be easier to change the default one instead.

I am testing fms this days, I have put all my files(such as 1.mp3,2.mp3...n.mp3) in my directory.
I can play single file fine with url like this:

but i want to know is there any way to play all files in my direcotry?
for example, user click the play button, the player(smp) automatic plays all files in the directory, link windows media server.
Should I use playlist? Or there is another better way?

FMS do not directly take a directory to play files, the file names have to be fetched some way (through script if needed) to make a playlist and then the play command needs to be repeated as many times.

Only if y can get the iPod out of recovery mode with the program. Otherwise you will have to restore via iTunes which erases the iPod.

I could only think of one solution to this, a little bit of code to get a list of records a user owns. The List contains Entity objects with the Id & LogicalName. You could do this with a report too but you'll have to query every entity...
