Any way to get Front Row to show video playlists such as TV shows?

I can get AppleTV now to show the TV show playlists in iTunes as their own menu items. However, I can't seem to get Front Row in 10.6 to do the same thing.
I currently have iTunes 8.2.1 in 10.6.0. Is this something either upgrading to 10.6.1 or iTunes 9 will enable?

Front Row users have been waiting for this option since video playlists first appeared in iTunes quite some time ago. Unfortunately, I've never been able to make it work. Why Apple can't enable what seems like a simple options is beyond me. My iPod nano can do it but Front Row on my Mac can't. I'd advise you to send Apple some Mac OS X feedback since there's no specific form for Front Row itself:

the new imacs
the macbook pro
and the new mini
i think it was first released with the g5 imac w/isight built in, and came with a remote. all the computers that came out with front row have come with an apple ir remote.
but front row isn't available to put on older systems. it isn't for sale or anything. and won't run on any system besides the new ones that i comes with.
or so they say. i've heard it can be done. but like i said, you should google it, cause posting that kind of hack would be in violation of the terms of use.

They are linked to your account, but they are also tied to the country that they were bought in - you won't be able to potentially redownload them unless you move back to the US and have a US billing address on your account (you have to be in a country to use its store, including redownloading past purchases).
Have you not got a backup copy of all of your downloads/library that you can copy them back from ? Even if you hadn't moved countries any item could be removed from the store at any time by the rights-holders (you are only guaranteed one download of any item), you should be keeping and maintaining a backup copy.

during download of tv show on iphone 5 network interrupted. now there's a video that when clicked on says "could not load movie". Can't delete it either. Is there any way to get rid of the unwatchable video?

I was able to solve this by turning on and off iTunes Match.
It wiped out the media library completly. Then I synced all my music back.

Is there any way to get the security tab to show when going to a website as in previous versions of firefox?

Before I updated to Firefox 4, I used to be able to see the security bar on the bottom right telling me whether it was secure (x-d out in red or not) before I logged into a site, purchased something, etc. I know the bottom tab has been brought to the top but I no longer see that bar/icon which bother me. Is there any way to get that security tab (that little gold lock symbol) to show again for every website?

Any way of getting Real Media files to play in Front Row?

I was just wondering if there is any way to get Real Media files to play in Front Row? I realise this is probably not possible, but I thought I'd ask people who know more about this than me!!

Probably not right now. Since Front Row uses iPhoto to play slideshows, the DVD Player to play DVDs, iTunes to play MP3s and the QuickTime Player to play videos, there's no way now to change the default video player application. All of those connections are hard-wired into the software. Apple has not released any kind of SDK (software development kit) for third parties to add on to Front Row, so it would have to be an unauthorized hack to get another video player to run. I might suggest you send Apple some Mac OS X feedback and let them know you'd like to see third party add-ons to Front Row.

How do I get Front Row to work with Lion? I have an iMac 27 inch computer and is the sole entertainment provider for my bedroom. I refuse to put a TV in my room and wanted to know how to get Front Row to work again on my mac? It seems that the upgrade to Lion erased the app.
I have quite a few movies and series that I bought off iTunes and is a shame that I can't use a media center app like Front Row on Lion.

I kind of have the opposite problem. I need to know how to turn off my remote on the computer. I am using the remote for my Apple TV and it keeps making the volume on my Computer go up and down (with annoying sounds).
There used to be a way to un-sync the remote with the comp but I cannot remember how and the Apple help is not much help! I have Lion.

now develop a server using ServerSocket and connect it in local IP and any PORT
For example i think ur server is connected in "localhost" and 9000 port.
Now make ur server educated using some commands.

Is there any way to get contacts back after them being deleted form iCloud?

My dad recently asked me to update his phone, so I plugged it into my computer to do so. For some reason just doing that resulted in his settings to change to have iCloud contact sync on. This resulted in our contacts syncing so his would show up on my phone and mine on his. He went on to delete all of my contacts from his phone, not realizing they were also being deleted on iCloud (therefore from my phone as well). I don't even understand why my contacts were not saved on my phone in the first place but all transfered to iCloud, but now they are gone from there as well. I tried restoring my phone from a backup on my computer a few weeks ago, however, this just restored everything else except for the contacts. So what I'm asking if there is any way to get contacts back that were ONLY on iCloud (because apparently apple doesn't realize saving something to a single place on the cloud isn't a good backup) but now are deleted. Does iCloud save this sort of information even after it is deleted?

I did buy the server app, went to the app store to download it. This system I'm using for downloads is Snow Leopard 10.6.8, it shows that I can download it but only as an Install which says I need 10.8. I can't seem to find a way for it to just download as a package or .dmg file so that I can copy it to DVD/CD or flash drive.

Any way to get stats on a project? (e.g. how many cuts)

I have completed a a project which runs at 01:42:00 - a documnetary - and purely out of interest I wondered if there was any way to get any stats for it, such as how many files actually used (from hundreds of hours of footage), how many edit points etc....things of that nature. Is this possible in any way that anyone out there knows of?

The video and audio useage stats are in the Project Window Columns.
An EDL will show you how many files are used and how many edits and transitions.

RAID 0-one drive is "Roaming." Any way to get it back?

I have four drives on the Mac Pro RAID card. One drive is assigned to a JBOD RAID Set (for my system) and the other three are assigned to a second RAID-0 Set.
Today my second RAID Set (and its volumes) is listed as "Not Viable." The drives themselves are all green (Status: Good) but two are in State: Assigned while the third is in State: Roaming.
Is there any way to get my third drive back in my RAID Set, or did my whole drive just get thrown away?
PS: I know that I can't recover RAID-0 when one of the drives has failed. I'm wondering if I can recover RAID-0 when all the drives are good.

Add me to the list of failed raid with mac pro raid card. I had one drive go offline so I put in a new drive. During rebuild, computer freezes requiring hard reset. Raid volume destroyed and now all drives show up as roaming. Another episode of Apple sweeping problem under rug. Sad!!

Update interupted... Any way to get photos off?

This is my first time posting here so if it's the wrong area, I appologize. I did the latest update this morning for my IPhone (I have an IPhone 3G) from the ITunes store.. I'm not sure of the exact number of the update.
I was doing the update before work and I ran out of time, so I brought my laptop with me while it was finishing the update.
As it was toward the end of the update (It had already backed up everything and I guess was putting the new software on), the IPhone came loose from the cord and now all it shows is the ITunes logo and to plug it in. When I do that, it says I have to do a restore to get into ITunes.
Is there ANY way to get the photos off before I restore to factory settings? I don't care about the contacts or anything but my photos. All my photos of my 1 year old are on there and the last time I backed it up was in September. I know I should have more often and I will do it every month from now on... But any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't care if I even have to go somewhere and pay someone to do it..

Hi Thank you for getting back to me. This will be a bit lengthy so I appologize to begin with.
I did not restore the phone before I got back home because I didn't want to take any chances of anything happening with it.
So I got home and I did the restore and back up at home last night (Clicking on Restore since the IPhone in the device menu didn't have the option to restore from back up).
After I restored it, it gave me the option to choose a back up to restore to, which I chose the one from yesterday morning.
It loaded and said on ITunes that the sync or back up was complete and it was safe to remove the IPhone. There was still a bar filling on the Iphone, supposedly loading, still going on the IPhone so I left it connected.
The bar finally filled, but stayed that way for around 15-20 min without going to the main screen, so I disconnected it. Then it wasn't going away so I shut it off.
I turned it back on and it started that load bar again with the apple logo above it. It took a long time and I had to go to bed so I let it go. I woke up this morning and it had gone dark so it seemed like it loaded fine. I clicked the circle button and my wall paper came up and everything, I was very happy! I even went to photos and it showed all of them there, very happy!
The only downfall I saw was all my apps were gone.. Not to worried about that, although if there is a way to get them back, I'd appreciate knowing that also..
But then I went to the camera and then it said rebuilding library (just so you know I have ALOT of photos on here, over 4500.. No music, just a ton of photos, which I am going to take off tonight hopefully.) So it took forever.. Then it turned off before it finished. I turned it back on and I went to photo's (instead of camera) and it said updating library and the load line is crawling.
So ever since I first looked at the pictures this morning, I haven't been able to view them again. I tried hooking it up to my laptop during break this morning to start transfering the photos, but it doesn't give me the option to import pictures like it used to (outside of ITunes, as if it were an external hard drive.).
So that's where I am at... Sorry for the lengthy response, but I figured it would help if you knew everything. At this point I just want to get the pictures off safely and then I don't care if I wipe them off after that.
