Any way to get my name off ipod screen?

My 10 yr. old daughter received the silver 4g nano for her birthday. Ipods are new to us.... we finally figured out how to download songs and all on my computer, for some reason it says "Mindy's Ipod" on the screen (that's my name and not hers) she loves it but says that is so not cool and wants her name on it. I've been looking on message boards trying to find the answer. If someone could help me out, I'd be very greatful... Thanks!

Hi there.
ITunes will use your Windows account name for the iPod which is connected.
To change the name, just connect the iPod to iTunes, mark the iPod in the navigation bar on the left with one left-click, wait 2 seconds, then click again on the iPod's name, than you can edit it
Hope this will help.
Regards, Chris

  • HT1478 I found my old iPod that I haven't used since about 2010, and I no longer have the computer that the library was synced with. Is there any way to get my music off of it so that I can put it on my new iPod?

I found my old iPod that I haven't used since about 2010, and I no longer have the computer that the library was synced with. Is there any way to get my music off of it so that I can put it on my new iPod? The old one is a 30 GB from 2005.

CS2 is very old and reached its "end of life" a while back.  So probably won't run on modern operating systems.  If you can still run it, you'll need to uninstall what you have and re-install with the download link below to activate it.

  • Any way to get java for my iPod Touch?

I can't access the network at my college because the sign-in page needs java. This is really frustrating. I read about something being done about this in February of 2008! What happened?
Is there any way to get java on my ipod touch?

No, the iPod touch does not support Java and there is no way of adding it.
JavaScript and Java are totally different and JavaScript is enabled by default in Safari on the iPod touch.
Your best bet would be to ask your college to consider a different sign-in page, as technically, there's no reason to use Java, and by doing so they are denying access to many handheld devices and mobile phones which people are increasingly using to access networks on the go.

  • Any way to get music onto a iPod Touch without using iTunes?

I don't want iTunes on my computer. Is there any other way to get music on to my iPod Touch without it?
iTunes makes to many changes to my computer that I have no control over, sorry but it's just crappy software. I had to remove it from another computer as it disabled Outlook and kept giving errors at boot up. I also don't see why it has to copy my music to another folder and have it on my HD twice. I could go on and on and don't get me started on the iCloud bugs.

Other than iCloud or synching from iTunes, the only other option is to purchase music directly from the iTunes Store.
iTunes works just fine with Outlook on my computer and the many others I support, FWIW. And you don't have to have your music on your drive twice. You can have it anywhere on your computer and just have iTunes recognize it where it is.
    Regards.

  • Is there any way to get songs from your iPod nano into your iTunes library?

My iTunes library has been totally cleared but my iPod nano is full. I'd really like the music back in my iTunes library, so is there a way to get the music from my iPod into iTunes?

  • Any way to get photos/data off 3gs before restoring?  I have no backup so procedure I believe will override/delete all photos I think.  Help - promise to back up in future.

How do I save photos before restoring Iphone 3gs?  Phone crashed, wants me to restore via i tunes.  I have no
backup so believe restore process will delete all my photos.  Any way out.  I promise to back up in future.  Hlep..

Thanks.  Someone advised there are services that can retrieve the data AS LONG AS I DON'T RESTORE.  The photos etc. remain/exist, but as you indicate will be lost if restore takes place.  Thanks, though.

  • Is there any way to get video information off of app MxTube

My touch screen is currently not working, and I'm trying to get all of my stuff off of it before I get a new one. I'm having a particularly hard time with this app...does anyone know how to see what videos you had cached on there?
NOTE: my touch screen DOES NOT WORK

    Does iTunes see the iPod?
If yes the easiest way is to backup the iPod and restore another iPod, iPhone or iPad from that backup.
    To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
That app may use file sharing so if you iTunes sees the iPod get the info via file sharing.
    iOS: About File Sharing
Otherwise go to the developer's support site

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

  • Is there any way to change owner name of ipod shuffle?

by mistake I got the wrong persons name in the person that owned the ipod. can you change the place in itunes that says xxxx xxxx's ipod?

When the iPod is connected to iTunes, Click on the iPod name once, wait 5 seconds, and click the name again. the entire name should be highlighted, so just backspace it and type your own name.

  • Way to get songs/video off iPod?

My computer crashed a few days ago and I lost everything. I've found programs before that allowed you to add your music back into iTunes using your iPod but I don't remember them, can someone help me out with this?

iPodAgent for Windows, copypod, yamipod to name a few. If you are using iTunes 7.0, you can transfer your purchased content from your iPod back to your library. I would STRONGLY SUGGEST that once you recover everything, you begin a regular backup program for your library, so you don't have to go through this aggravation, again.

  • HT4623 Is there any way to get iOS 7 off my iPad? It is MUCH slower and less responsive than it was! Why do you people always have to fix something that isn't broken?

Is anyone else experiencing sluggishness and the need to practically pound the screen to get a response from the keyboard?

    (A) Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.
    (B) Reset all settings
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings will be reset.

  • Is there any way of getting a 7th Gen iPod Nano to sync the same as older generaqtions

I have two problems with my new iPod Nano (7th Gen).
    1. When synced, artwork either isn't loaded at all or the wrong artwork is loaded against the wrong artist.
    2. When I play an album the songs are not played in the correct order, but shuffled automatically.
Can anybody suggest answeres to sorting these issues?
Frankly, if not, the 7th Gen Ipod is a serious regression - it feels more like a very old mp3 player!

The songs are still on her ipod.
They should transfer ok but make sure and use the same Apple ID that was used for the original purchase.
Connect the iPod to a computer, launch iTunes.
From the iTunes menu bar click File > Transfer Purchases From...
Make sure and backup the iTunes purchases >  How to back up your media in iTunes
If this is an iPod touch read here >  Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • Is there any way to get photos off of my iPhone 4 that won't turn on?

A couple of weeks ago my iPhone 4, running on iOS 7, decided to stop working.  It just shut off all of a sudden, and wouldn't turn back even if it was plugged into a computer.  It would just say that it was an iPhone in recovery mode, and that it needed to be restored.  I would be okay with doing this, however I recently went on a big trip and took hundreds of photos on this trip with my phone, and I mistakenly did not back up my iPhone since this trip.  I was wondering if there was any way to get these pictures off of my phone myself, and if not if there is any way that the people at the apple store could help me?
    Thank you!
