Any way to install individual Windows Essential applications without updating existing applications?

Hi, I'd like to take advantage of some of the recent versions of software included in Windows Essentials, but I don't want to update my MSN Messenger 2009 to a newer version as I dislike the UI in newer versions. Is this possible and how do I go about doing
this if it is?
I understand MSN Messenger will be succeeded by Skype eventually, but until then I like MSN Messenger 2009 for general chatting as it's UI has more defined boundaries for each element of the UI instead of it all just being seamless and bland white.

I have HDs installed in my optical bays.
I can copy the Win 7 install disk to a new freshly formatted HD if needed.
I am unable to install from my Firewire DVD.
It will not work.
I have a NTFS partition ready to go on an internal drive.
If there is a way to do this I would appreciate any help.
I really do not want to put my DVD back in if it can be avoided.

I've done an install off a hard drive, but I was already running Windows on a separate drive partition.
People have put DVD on flash memory, though that is 'maybe' and depends on booting from USB devices.
I routinely put OS X Install DVD on a firewire hard drive and installs quickly (to say nothing of booting in under 60 sec).

I bought two audition cs6 licenses, one for our pcs and one for our macs...not finding any way to install on our macs...when I run the cd it only has programs for windows...nothing for mac...I have my mac serial number, but no install app...

If you don't have the Mac files with the disc you can probably still download the installation files and use your serial number from the purchase to activate. Here is a link to CS6 downloads:

You should check with Adobe support regarding getting the disc copy of the files if that is what you purchased, unless they know something that would result in the files already being in your possession thru that disc somehow.

Bluegrassbarry you can download and install Illustrator CS6 from Download CS6 products. Do you currently have a Creative Cloud Membership? The closest thing you can do would be getting VMware Fusion
It's a parallel so it runs right on your mac side
It's not quite as fast as native speed, but it's about 90%-95% and works really well for everything except gaming

Is there really any way to install the updated EFI 1.7 in a Macbookpro Early 2008 ?
I'm sure that the controller is compatible with the SATA II and i really need an update of the EFI in my computer.
On the apple updated EFI page there is even NO Update for my computer model and no information about the EFI ! What's that ???
If someone found a solution for enabling the Sata II in that computer model; please let me know !

Sorry to have post in the wrong part of the forum.
But i whant to know why there is no Firmware update.
Today SSD are really faster than Hard drive and my computer model is limited by Software at 1.5Gb/s but from the chipset (Hardware) ICH8-M AHCI it is capable of 3Gb/s.
(i have screenshots to prove that this chipset can run at 3Gb/s if you dont trust me.)
So, when you say that apple said that it doesn't need an update, i really don't understand how they can say such thing today.
And because it is a "pro" machine wich cost me over 2K€ i think it really deserve, since the controller is capable of better performances.
And still, me and others custommer will really appreciate that update to run their computer faster.

No, only thing you can do is add a link to a sharepoint application page that points to a vb6 executable, once the end user clicks that one, the client OS and end user decide what happens next.

So you don't have the cords I assume and the battery is dead? If you already installed songs, apps and other stuff via itunes you should be fine. Just buy or use the cords you received. You may need to buy the electrical adapters for EU connections.
