Any way to manage disappearing iPod HD space?

Does iTunes reduce the amount of available iPod hard drive space through automatic updates of the Recently Played playlist?
(1) I've noticed my iPod available hard disk space reduce by 0.01 GB each time I automatically update. This is on a per song basis. So if 50 songs are tagged through an update of Recently Played Songs, the total seeming deduction in iPod HD space is approximately 0.5 GB. That seems like a lot for very tiny changes.
(2) I've also noticed that since I upgraded to iTunes 6, the songs I recently played in shuffle (either on iTunes or the iPod) are tagged for updates (I'm guessing this is going into the Recently Played playlist). And when they are tagged and the update occurs, the available iPod hard disk reduces by 0.01 GB per song.
(3) I have a 40 GB iPod photo. I'm wondering if this count in the reduction of available iPod hard disk space will continue, and what will happen when I reach the maximum available space - Will I no longer be able to update my iPod?
(4) I've also noticed this phenomenon (the reduction in available hard disk space) when I, for example, adjust volume settings on songs....it reduces available space by 0.01 GB per song.
On a side note...I don't think I've ever seen my iPod available hard disk space ever be restored? Does iTunes keep a record, does it record, does it therefore save all changes (taking up space) as a history of changes?

You can delete all the songs from your computer and just keep them on the iPod by changing the update option of your iPod to "manually manage music and videos". One major word of caution. If you delete songs from your computer and have no back up other than the iPod you will risk losing them permanently if your iPod fails or you find you have to restore it to solve a problem (and that's a very strong possibility). You should reconsider your original idea of investing in an external hard drive to store/back up your music. Alternatively at the very least back up songs you can't replace such as iTunes downloads to CD or DVD. If you have created a new Windows user account you need to log out and then log back in with your original user name. By default each Windows profile will have an independent iTunes library.
If instead you managed to create a new library within the same profile. click the icon to start iTunes and immediately press and hold down the shift key, keep holding until asked to create or choose a library. Click Choose and navigte back to your original which should be at <User's Music>\iTunes.

in which case Selected Playlists is probably the best approach. Simply create a playlist for each device, Alice's iPod, Bob's iPhone etc. and sync the device with the appropriate list.

We are talking about that Nike device. We have a iPod Classic (software version 2.0.1) and an iPod touch (iOS 4.2.1, an earlier model....maybe 3 years ago). When we plug in into the classic it says "the accessory is not supported) and when we plug it into the touch it says "no receiver required," but neither will load the nike+ running app. I believe it said that our iPod was incompatible with this app. Is there something we need to do to make it compatible? Get an updated operating system or a different app? That has also happened with a few other apps. Thanks!

Is there any way to charge an iPod Touch while connected to another device?

I'm using an iPod Touch connected to a pico projector (which is plugged into the wall), which of course limits the time I can run a presentation to the battery life of the iPod. Periodically delete all apps from the recently-used bar (double clickHome button) and power off and then back on the iPod. With iOS 5, the iPod uses more memory (do not confuse with storage) and periodically you have to reclaim memory for use.

Try this, hold the middle button and the menu button for 10 seconds while it is plugged into the computer. See if it will come back to life. You may have to try this several times. Give it a try.

nope. If your under warranty apple will cover it. If not find a repair shop. You can try looking for an app but if it turns off then you cant turn it back on!

you can use payroll addon that is developed by certain SAP partner company.
if you want to manage the payroll manually, you can use vendor master data as employee and using journal entry to accomodate payroll transaction or using outgoing payment.
