Any way to not include the sender on their own email if they're in a distribution list?

Howdy,
If my team has an email distribution list, and I need to email everyone else on the team, is there any way to set something so that the person sending the email doesn't get their own email back if they are on the list they are sending to?
Currently, if I send an email to our "IT" list, and I'm on the "IT" list, I get a copy of my own email sent back to me.  This seems silly to me.  I know I've used some program in the past that was smart enough not to do that
but I don't recall if Exchange/Outlook has the ability to not do that.
Thanks.

An outlook rule or hub transport rule to delete messages sent from you should do it. In the old Exchange/Outlook days, it didnt do that, yes.

Well, I'd want to do this globally at our company, not just for myself.
I dont think there is any easy way to do that then.

  • Is there any way to not use the plugin container for firefox?

Is there any way to not use the plugin container for firefox? Ever since I updated, my firefox browser has been crashing almost every day and it always says that the plugin container crashed, but the rest of firefox freezes up as well, so I am forced to end the process itself.

    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Plugin-container_and_out-of-process_plugins
You can set the prefs dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.* to false on the about:config page to disable the plugin-container process.
dom.ipc.plugins.enabled (currently false by default in Firefox 3.6.6)
    dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.npswf32.dll (Flash)

    dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.npqtplugin.dll (QuickTime)

  • Any way to not have the albums sh

Is there any way to not have the albums show up when selecting AND playing a song?
    Thanks.

Just thought i'd mention that you can do this much more easily by using a program like mp3Tag (free) where you can batch rename file tags. In other words, you can select all your files and change all the albums to blank or whatever you want in one process. take care

  • Is there any way to turn off the ical feature whereby someone emails you a meeting date/time and it automatically goes on your iCal?

Is there any way to turn off the iCal feature whereby when someone emails you a meeting date/time and it automatically appears on your calendar?  Once there they can't even be edited or deleted.

    Greetings,
What version of the Mac OS are you running (Apple > About this Mac)?
You should be able to delete events in iCal as long as they are not from a "Subscription" calendar.  Subscriptions show up on the left hand side of iCal under the "Subscription" category if you have any.
You can tell iCal to not check your mail program for invites by going and unchecking the box found in iCal > Preferences > Advanced > "Automatically retrieve..."
    Hope that helps!

  • I purchased an iPhone 4S second-hand, and the previous owner did not remove the iPhone fron their iCloud account. They do not know their Apple ID.

I bought an iPhone 4S secnd-hand. The previous owner did not remove the iPhone from their iCloud account. I've tried contacting the previous owner, but they also do not know.  What should I do now?

If they were the one who set the lock, send them this link.
If not, you need to contact the person who did or the device's original owner.

  • Any way to not include Contacts in auto-spell?

I find the use of words in Contacts in the auto-correct to be a tremendous annoyance. I have a large Contacts database and so there are just way too many names that are similar to words that I find my text riddled with names from Contacts.
Is there any way to keep auto-correct but have it not include words from Contacts?

.... I primarily use an Exchange account...email that say was sent to me as well as other people....
Is your name (email address) specifically in the To or CC line? Or is the message sent to a distribution group and you're a member of the distribution group? I can replicate this for Exchange accounts, but only when the person is part of a group and not listed specifically...and only with Outlook (specifically Outlook 2007.) I cannot replicate this in OSX Mail 4.2.
BTW, is your server Exchange 2007? OSX mail is only supported on Exchange 2007. When I tried OSX Mail with an Exchange 2003 server, I had weird issues. Sometimes mail wouldn't send, but nothing consistent that I could pin down. (My above server is Exchange 2007.)

  • Is there any way to not show the device password on start-up?

The device is set to automatically show its password on start up. Is there any way to hide the password so it does not show?

I agree with you on this one. If they would just have an option that when you touch none interactive section maybe just the home button appears.
I rarely use that navigation system and the people that I have tested ralley know what to do when it pops up. If the page number came up instead of a slider, I think people would get it. Plus instead of icons have text. Table of content, home, back.

  • Any way to NOT use the Windows theme?

The reason I downloaded Safari on my PC was because I loved the way it looked, and how it worked, plus the smooth text, but not it looks like Google Chrome or IE.
Is there any way to change it to the Mac look?

Yea the new changes are hard to digest for those that liked the Mac look. But I have some advice though, that made me feel more comfortable with it.
Safari Preferences > Appearance > Font Smoothing = Medium
That should make the fonts look like they did before. Also if you use Vista and think the Title bar is difficult to read, try:
Control Panel > Customize Colors > Choose Frost
(if you have a dark desktop background, this makes the tabs much more readable and Mac like :))

  • Is there a way to not include the 64-bit NI drivers in the distribution kit?

    Hi,
I have an application I distribute that depends on a third party 32-bit only drivers.  Or in other words, the application is not going to be installed on a 64-bit system.  Is there a way, when including the NI drivers in the distribution kit, to only include the 32-bit versions of the drivers?  Doing so should reduce the overly bloated size of the installer by eliminating a large number of files that are not going to be needed.  I'm running CVI 2010.
    Thanks.

    Hi tstanley,
I've checked into this and I'm afraid that the when you build a distribution, you can only choose different parts of the driver that are installed, not whether 32 or 64 bit driver versions are installed.  For example, the entire NI-DAQmx driver is composed from NI-DAQmx Application Development Support 9.2.3, NI-DAQmx Core Runtime 9.2.3, and NI-DAQmx MAX Configuration Support 9.2.3.  If you are using the NI-DAQmx driver to talk to your hardware, you must include the NI-DAQmx Core Runtime 9.2.3, but the other two parts are optional (as you may not need to use MAX for your application or some of the LabVIEW VIs in the Application Development Support).  You can choose each of these parts of the driver in the Drivers & Components tab of the Edit Installer window.

  • Is there any way to not create the hidden 'dot' files when copying to a USB

I am moving photos to a USB device for use in a digital picture frame. The problem arises that 'dot' files are also created on the USB device and the digital frame chokes on them. I actually have to take the device to a <egad> Windows system to delete all of the 'dot' files so that the photo frame works correctly. So.. in a word, I would like to perform a copy to the USB device and tell the OS to not generate the 'dot' files. Any ideas? Thanks

  • I'm trying to change my password, but i have to know the answers to my security questions. But whenever I send the answers to my email, it sends to my old email that i can not access anymore. Is there any way to get them to send to my new email? Uggggghhh

    Someone please help me

You cannot and need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • Is there any way to not have the Inspector open by default every time?

I'm tired of opening a Pages '13 document and having to ⌥⌘i every single time. I like the inspector, but most of the time I want it gone so I can focus on the documents I'm reading. Is there a way to do this?

You posted with a Tag saying you were using iWork for iCloud on Mac OSX 10.7.5.
Are you sure you only have Pages 5, because if you migrated from your old System, Pages '09 should be in your Applications/iWork folder.
The plain and simple truth is you are not going to make a silk purse out a Sow's Pages 5.
No matter how hard you try.
I give solutions to Pages 5 where they exist but don't have the pixie dust to make it happen if it doesn't.

  • HT5295 Is there any way to not use the Podcast App and still listen to podcasts? This app is a substantial downgrade to listening through the music player.

The Podcast App is terrible. It can't seem to keep track to what has or has not been listened to, it randomly restarts after pauses. I never had to use the App until this last upgrade and now I'm forced to. I would like to go back to listening to podcasts through the music player. Is that possible?

Yup -- if you've installed the Desktop Software and enabled Mass Storage Mode, then your BB should appear as another drive letter in Windows...and you can treat it just like any other USB drive.
