Any way to open/retrieve encrypted Camera Roll photos

I had to restore my iphone 3GS.....is there a way to open/retrieve the Camera Roll photos that were on this phone? I regularly sync'd this phone, with "encrypted backup" enabled.
I have since purchased a new iPhone4 and want to restore the 3GS encrypted backup (camera roll) to the iPhone 4.

I'm sure it was the right backup since that was the only backup I ever did.
Perhaps the iPod Touch issue which I brought it in for the troubleshooting later that day.. also caused it to backup the camera roll pictures up to a point too (The month and a half where I'm missing the other photos)?
My device issue was that most notifications went missing and the inability for my iPod Touch to update any of my apps. It would show waiting/loading and then just return to a normal app icon like it had finished, but instead the update never occurred. The Apple specialist who helped me seemed puzzled and the final solution employed which worked was updating me to iOS 5.
I had tried restoring to factory settings and reinstalling previously to going to the Apple store for help. It only fixed my problems for a week, before they returned.
I do hope tho' I'm not SOL and the rest of the data is hidden in my backup..

The Camera Roll photos should have restored, as they are part of the backup, unless you had a corrupted backup. Connect the phone, right click on it in iTunes, and choose Restore from Backup. If you are given a choice of backups choose one from before you replaced the phone.
However, the Camera Roll is not intended as a permanent store for photos; they should be transferred to a photo app on your computer or Photo Stream frequently, to avoid the situation you are now facing.

Did you by chance have photo stream turned on? If so then they might be there. When you restored your phone it deleted everything and they will be unretreivable from your computer.

Can anyone help?
I have deleted the camera roll photos from the ipad by mistake.
I plugged the ipad into my computer and treated it as a camera device and selected copy all pitcures.
I could not backup to the icloud because the files were too big.
I then deleted the photo stream via my computer and deleted camera roll on the device itself before a realised that some of the pictures were missing. I believe the photos missing are in the camera roll.

Easy way to open JPGs in Camera Raw Module?

I am aware of the way to open JPGs in the ACR module by being in the Editor, and going to File>Open and changing the file type to RAW. I find this to be terribly inconvenient, however.
Is there any way to open a JPG in RAW from the Organizer where I can actually see the files? With regular Photoshop/Bridge I can just right click in Bridge and open in RAW easily. But I can't seem to find a way to do something similar in PSE11? There has to be an easier way because going to File>Open and trying to figure out what file I need from a huge pile of files is not a very good workflow.

If you want to edit multiple JPGs in a raw editor interface, then you might consider using Lightroom, which is a bit cheaper than Photoshop.

Dsd files - any way to open?

dsf or dff formats - apparently aren't supported. Any way to open them in audition? Or will there be in the near future?

Just FYI, there is quite a bit of music, mostly classical, being recorded in DSD and released as digital files, not only as SACD. In addition, a lot of catalog material originally recorded on tape (all types of music) is being remastered to DSD and released for download. In a quick search, I came up with about 500 titles, all from the last year or two, with more on the way. SONY, among others, has begun marketing home equipment capable of playing back DSD files; they also have all of their music archives (thousands of titles) in DSD, so if these start to be released in large numbers for download there will be no lack of material.
SACD is a proprietary closed format which can't be copied under normal circumstances. Probably one of the big reasons it didn't succeed outside of classical recording and in Japan, where it is still quite a viable format. There are though, about 8000 SACD titles available, and the number is still growing. The advantage of dsf and dff releases is that they are DSD without the copy protection, and can be manipulated, played back, and copied just like any other digital file.
As far as how it sounds, you'd have to listen for yourself. I think there quite a few people that can hear that DSD playback sounds different from SACD playback and also from PCM playback. There's no reason it houldn't, as the filtering used in recording (none for DSD in recording) and playback is different than PCM.

Is there any way to open .mts files in Qicktime and FCPX?

Is there any way to open .mts files on the Mac? I am reffering ti opening them in Quicktime and in FCPX. My camera costs a LOT, and I think it's ridiculous that I can't open these files. I can't even find a decent conversion tool to do it for me. Please help!

And it say it can support AVCHD videos.
VLC also support it for watching the video and anyway Quicktime X is useless with many codecs.
Check again to import files in FCPX as i can't test i don't have any .mts files.

That's a Microsoft program which requires Windows. You could run on your Mac if you install Windows on it.
Windows on Intel Macs

Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc. There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization. Any way to open new browser window without using image maps?

Is there any way to open new browser window without using image maps? My code works fine in Firefox, but not in IE. There are 2 problems in IE: 1st is that the thumbnail images move up within their own borders & 2nd that when you click on an image it does open up a new browser window, but also redirects to the index page (in this case it's just a placeholder index page - the new one I've called index_new.html for the time being).

Your missing a value on the HREF. In your code you have this:

Probably a privacy issue.
Check your privacy settings.
On the iPad, click SETTINGS
then PRIVACY
then PHOTOS
Look for iMovie and turn it ON

Our ad department has recently upgraded their windows PCs, and it seems the new default for Excel to save is .xlsb (excel binary workbook). Is there any way to open this in Numbers, or is my only answer to go over to them again and again, to get them to resave in .xls or .xlsx?

Ask them to resave as .xls
If they are polite enough, I'm quite sure that they may change their default format to .xls.
