Any way to read/view .xps files on a Mac running 10.4.9 ?

I've searched the FAQs and the forums, and I've googled in vain.
I'm curious to view the .xps files on Microsoft ClearType page.
I found something called NiXPS.app for MAC OS X, but it fails to view or read anything in the XPS files, though it does recognize and "open" them without showing them.
Is anyone aware of a reader for .sps files on a Mac?
Dual 1.25MHz MDD G4, 2GB RAM, 4 int dr.,2ext FW drives Mac OS X (10.4.9)

You can get a .XPS file converter from the Beast of Redmond itself. <http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.aspx> I've got no idea how well, or even if, it works; the downloads page says that it's v 0.1.1 beta. Try at your own risk.

I can think of two possible stumbling blocks:
What are your 8.6 options for "byte order" and "prepend array or string size"?
Overall, many file IO functions have changed with LabVIEW 8.0, so there might not be an exact 1:1 code conversion. You might need to make some modifications. For example, in 7.1, you should use "write file", the "binary file VIs" are special purpose (I16 or SGL). What is your data type?

Is there any way I can view / remove pictures from Camera Roll on the iPhone, on a Mac, without actually importing the files? I just want to view / delete files without importing them.
For instance I have 1200 photos on my iPhone Camera Roll. Some of these are shots, that I've taken multiple times, some good, some bad. I just want to clean up my Camera Roll, but going through the pictures on the iPhone's small screen is tedious. I'd much rather look at the camera roll's photo's on my Mac, and then decide which files I'd like to keep, and which to delete.
I don't want to import the files, as when I import the files, and delete them from Camera Roll, now the Photo's are not on my phone, and the only way to get them back on my Phone is to Import them back in using iTunes, and then they go into the Picture Library and not the Camera Roll.
In the same way as I can view Pics from my digital camera's SD card on a Mac without having to actually copy them to my computer, is there any app out there that will let me view my iPhone pics without importing them.

The short answer is yes.
Connect your iPhone to your computer.
Open Image Capture application.
Click on the 4 little squares at bottom to view them as photos, not a list.
Select the photos them click the No Entry icon at bottom to delete.

You can drag and drop a file from TM to the desktop.
Let's say your newsletter is on the desktop. First thing to do is to add something to the file name, say Newsletter_1.
Next open TM as if it is just another external drive by double clicking the icon. (This is not the same as "Enter Time Machine" which you do when you want to restore.) The file hierachy in TM follows the same logic as on your hard drive. Navigate to the date you want, find the file you want, and drag and drop it where you want it to be. Because you changed the name of the most recent version you can both files in the same space.
I do this often.
But remember if you make a back up now you will end up with both versions in TM.

You can remove the assembly tree by doing a roundtrip in 3D Toolkit, here's how:
- start Acrobat 3D
- drag & drop a CAD file
- click on 3D Annot to activate
- right-click on 3D
- select 'Edit in 3D Toolkit'
- 3D Toolkit launches
- click in 'Scene Tree' panel
- right-click on top assembly name
- select 'Tools->Collapse Hierarchy'
- select 'File->Save'
- select 'File->Exit'

I believe there is something from Oracle but it was frustratingly buggy when I used it a few years back and only worked via the Oracle installer.
Personally, I'd recommend something like Innosetup, which is freeware and a Windows-style installer much like InstallShield etc. so it'll create an executable setup file probably OK if they've already got the Oracle Runtime components installed.

Does the regular Firefox 8 release version work or does the version crash as well?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

What version of the Mac OS X are you running. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac and post the version.

A usefull way to read a long file

What's the best and usefullest way to read a large file?
I do use a LineNumberReader but i think it reads a little slow...
To open the same file in an text editor reacts in less a millisecond while my LineNumberReader nees more time to read the entire file...
Any suggestions?

The file i readed seems to be a binary file in your meaning.

Hm i got the error why the JTextArea do only display
one large line of characters...
i forgot to set line wrap ...
but now the app freezes reading the large binary file ...
with a smaller file all works ok.
Any ideas?

What would be the best way to read from a file. Which classes do I need to use?
I have to write a program, which reads data from a comma separated flat file, parse it and after inserting some busineess logic insert into a databse .
I will have to read the data line by line.
