Any way to remove an Apple TV from iPod AirPlay?

I don't remember how this has come to be but whenever I connect to wifi, I get the option to connect to an Apple TV, which I do not even own. Whenever I usually view media, this is the first option that selected and I fear that my music or videos are being played on someone's Apple TV. Is this just some glitch or is there a way to remove this option?

go into their airplay settings on your ipod this should be on the list when you double click the homebutton
and deselect the appletv

  • Is there any way of removing the browser buttons from the right click menu?

Recently when I right-click on a web page, there are browser buttons (forward, backward, refresh, bookmarks) on the right-click menu for some inexplicable reason. I mean, its kind of absurd that anyone would put browser buttons there, considering the real browser buttons literally right there at the top of the window, and I guess that kinda bugs me.
Anyway, how did I get rid of them? There doesn't seem to be any way to do so in the customize window, and I've been looking for an add-on but don't really know what to search for. Does anyone know?
Where did those come from anyway? They weren't there a week ago, and I'm pretty sure these things don't normally just pop up out of nowhere. If nobody knows, its really not important. The important thing is getting rid of them. Thanks!

That was a new feature in Firefox 32, which was released back in September. Use this UserStyle to get rid of those buttons and restore the text menu items.

  • Any way to view backed up notes from iPod touch?

I accidentally deleted a note on my iPod touch, but just remembered that it'll probably be in the automatic backup from when I last connected it to my PC.
Is there any way of parsing the backup data to read the note? I don't really care about actually restoring it to the iPod, I'd just like to read it. Perhaps someone's written a 3rd party utility for this? Or maybe the data is in plain text somewhere in the backup files?
Alternatively, is there any way of just restoring this one note without blatting over all other content on the device? If I restore, will it delete more recent notes, or just re-add the older ones from the backup?

if i remember, i read that the notes will not backuped or so. My way is, using the email button in the notes app to send important things to my email account and store them.
second question ... yes were are a lot of third party "productivity apps" in the App-Store to solve your problem in different way, local or throught the web.

  • Any way to remove or rename "copy" from duplicated layers?

Hello, is there a way to automatically remove/rename the "copy" that comes up when you duplicate layers?

Excerpt from the FAQ  How To Get Help Quickly :
Truth #1: We all find ourselves in need of an answer—QUICKLY!—at times.
Truth #2: Panic never helps. Take a few seconds to breathe, relax, and form a methodical plan to solve the problem.
Truth #3: More information is almost always better than less. "HELP! MY [software name or tool] IS BROKEN!!!" will very likely be responded to with laughs and jeering, because it doesn't say anything except as an expression of your panic. Give those who might be able to help something to go on, please!
    Before you Post:
Firstly - have you really checked the 'help' option in the program? Many problems can be solved far faster by getting the answer from the Help File.
Secondly - check the Forum FAQ folder. There's advice there on many common questions and problems.
Thirdly - use the 'Knowledgebase Search' option near the top of this page. Or you can click here to go to the relevant page and enter your search words there - or just search for 'Photoshop' there to see summaries of all the relevant items.
Fourthly, try searching this forum. It may well be your question has already been asked and answered. The archives are full of useful advice. Please remember to perform a search to see if your question has previously been answered. You can click here to search the Photoshop-for-Windows forum.
If you can't find the answer by any of those methods, do post your question in the relevant forum here.
It boils down to doing your due diligence before posting here.

  • In Aperture, is there any way to remove the speckled effect from scanned early matt prints?

I have a number of photos from the 1960s and 70s, the surface of which is covered with a matt effect. I suppose this was designed to stop fingerprints, but when scanned it shows up as a fine network of bright semicircles. The images are dreadful. My scanner has a setting that will remove this pattern, but at the cost of reducing the resolution to little more than 100 dpi, making the scans virtually unusable in anything like a Photobook. Are there any features in Aperture that might help? Or failing that, perhaps in Photoshop?

What you need, is a dedicated image restauration filter that recognized the regular frequency pattern superimposed onto the prints. You can do this in advanced Image processing packages that let you compute the fourier transform of the image and then suppress or attanuate the frequency bands of the artefact with a band-stop filter.
But neither Aperture nor PhotoShop have this kind of filter. In Aperture and Photoshop you can only soften the effect by blurring and then exporting a smaller version of the image.
The algorithm that your scanner uses is probably the best that can be done, even if the resolution is only 100 dpi.
Do you still have the negatives? Scanning the negatives at a high resolution may give you better results.

Just don't use them. They take up very little room. If they are in your dock then just remove them.

  • Is there any way to remove the "Trust Computer" from IOS7

    Hi,
I plugged my Iphone (5) to an USB port on my computer att work solely to recharge. The message "Do you trust this computer" keeps poping up for no reasons. I reset to factory default, but the message keep poping up. I there a seting that would remove this altogether? AFAIK, this is a new "feature" from IOS7 and not one that was missing from previous version.
    Thanks

  • I recently updated my iPhone's 3GS software to iOS 5.1...Is there any way to remove the camera button from the lock screen?

    Heeelp?!...

I did just that, good idea.
I stated in my feedback message that I feel it disturbing that someone handling my iPhone, but not having the passcode, can take photos with my phone.  Photos of --<sigh>--Lord knows what.  While the phone's usually in my pocket or otherwise close to my person, that's not always the case.
Now, I'll grant that it is nice to have the option to allow someone to take a photo with my phone without also giving them access to everything else.  In fact, that's a very nice little tidbit.  I'd just like to have the flexibility to prevent people from taking pics with my phone, should they happen to have it in hand and feel the urge to add to my camera roll even without my approval.  There's real opportunity for mischief in this.

  • Is there any way to remove timezone dropdown from calendar prompt

We are using a different prompt to set timezone and I was evaluating to see if there is any way to remove timezone drop down from calendar prompt, User will input only time stamp.

Are you talking about the Time Remaining display on the side bar? The text for that field is in the Modify Text Labels... tool in the Theme Editor of Presenter. You can change it to whatever you want, but you may want to keep a record of what the default text labels are, as there is no restore to default option. The Elapsed Time field is what you would want to change. I have seen this modified to show no text, copyright information or other general info.

  • Any way to remove the History pulldown?

Is there any way to remove the '''History '''pulldown from the main menu bar? It is absolutely useless, at least to me, and it is kind of annoying to keep hitting it by accident.
PS: I meant as a user. It is possible others do, indeed, find some use for it, and it is kind of a given that Mozilla developers will not remove it.

Add code to userChrome.css below the default @namespace line.
The customization files userChrome.css (interface) and userContent.css (websites) are located in the chrome folder in the user profile folder.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
    <pre><nowiki>@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */
    #history-menu { display:none!important; }
    </nowiki></pre>

My macbook pro is infected with VBS.Lys.M.  Unfortunately, bitdefender can only quarantine it and it keeps reappearing.  Is there any way to remove it from my computer?

That's Windows malware, so it cannot be infecting your Mac. It probably is on your computer as an email attachment. To remove it, see:
    http://www.thesafemac.com/how-to-remove-infected-files/
Also, note that BitDefender is pretty bad at detecting Mac malware. I would recommend removing it. See my Mac Malware Guide for more information about protecting yourself from malware:
