Any way to revert to 3.1.2? MP3 Player issues.

Since upgrading to 4.0 it now takes me nearly 4 minutes to scroll through the list of artists on the MP3 player in my truck, while I could run through the list in under 30 seconds with 3.1.2.
Or if anyone knows how to correct this issue another way, andy help would be appreciated.
It's an Alpine CDA-9886 if that helps anything.

mine probably doesn't either but i checked for the update, after seeing here that it was getting to some phones back in nov. it was there, just needed to start the process & it took 20 min to dl (i posted that info here) & another 16 min to reboot/install. it seems to me that i could've delayed in saying "ok" for the download to start, not the install part.

  • Is there any way to revert to an older version of iTunes?

GoodReader (an iOS app) has a 32 bit windows program (GoodReader USB) that allows easy drag and drop transferring of folders and files between my windows computer and my iPad.
Upgrading to the newest 64 bit version of iTunes disabled the GoodReader USB transfer program.  The program doesn't think iTunes is installed (because it only works with the 32 bit version).  GoodReader hasn't upgraded the transfer program yet and I've been told they might not.  I use this program several times per week and it's a hardship to lose its functionality.
I uninstalled iTunes, downloaded a 32 bit version of iTunes and tried to install it.  Unfortunately, the install doesn't work.  The install program essentially insisted that I needed the 64 bit version.  I've reinstalled the 64 bit iTunes 12 for the time being.  Is there any way to revert to the last version of iTunes that was running on my computer.  Alternately, is there another iOS app (similar to GoodReader) with as good a USB transfer program that lefts me drag and drop folders and files onto my iPad?

    Try iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
You may need to fully uninstall all Apple components before switching. If you run into problems see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates. Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip. Also links to the previous build if required.

Yes, you stop using the same Apple ID under Settings > iCloud.

  • Any way to revert to old notes?

I've got my iphone 4 set up for wireless sync.  My son was watching a movie on my iphone, and got out of the movie, into the notepad, and changed my most current note which had a couple of email addresses that I needed.  I didn't realize he did this, and as soon as we got home, the note had synced to my computer before I could stop it.
Is there any way to revert to an old version?

Not unless you had backed up your phone prior to this.  If you do have this note backed up you can either restore your phone from backup (which reverts all your data to this older version, see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766), or you can use a 3rd party program to extract the notes data from the backup (such as http://www.iphonebackupextractor.com/)

  • Is there any way to revert the header from Premiere Pro CC 2014.1 back to CC 2014?

For the most part, I like the UI change. It's sleek and easier on the eyes with emphasis in the right parts of the panels, but there's one thing I'd like to revert back to CC 2014...
It's the new header. The line attached to the header is no longer lined up with the header, instead it's one frame behind. This works fine for the most tasks, however when I go to mark up audio zoomed all the way in, having the line so off from where the playhead is makes everything harder to visualize and usually incorrect on the first attempt. Is there any way to return the line back to the center of the header?
    CC 2014.1 header ^^^^
    CC header ^^^^
    Thanks!

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling a "Previous Version" to go from CC2014.2 back to CC 2014.1. This did not work however.  Rather than have the option to update to 2014.2 the fresh install was already updated to version 2.
Anyone else know how to revert to the original CC 2014 or version 1?
    Thanks!

  • Is there any way to revert to ios 6.1.3 (iphone4)

    No.

  • Is there any way to revert back to iOS3 on a 3GS phone

Does anybody know how to remove ios4 and reinstall 3 in a 3GS? IOS 4 absolutely stinks!! It won't push calendar events to my Outlook calender nor sync contacts. the software engineers should be hung by their thumbs for not fully testing this 'upgrade'.

    Are you sure that's true?
I wasn't aware that there was any restriction on installing a software file released by Apple onto one of their phones.
Without wishing to break any rules here, I believed you could download the correct ipsw file and, by holding the shift key when you select Restore in iTunes, specify which file you wish to load onto your phone.
I don't think you need to hack thephone in any way so all warranty should remain intact
Of course, if you keep a backup of all the software levels you use, there isn't even a need to download them from the Internet, so everything must be legal and above board.
In fact, the first thing I'll do when I get home is make a backup of my 4.0 software in case I need to revert to it in the future.

  • HELP Desktop reorganized, file split into 10 different pieces -- any way to revert without losing anything? Urgent!

    HELP!
I was showing a friend/client how to take a screenshot of a section of the screen (cmd+shift+4), but I accidentally pressed ctrl+cmd+4 and perhaps a few others (mistake due to using non-apple keyboard with mine), which reorganized her very cluttered but very purposeful desktop!
She was rather upset. It also placed all the files that wouldn't fit in a row beneath her hard-drive icon. Understandably, this is frustrating for her; but what made it worse is that a very important document (is it PDF, .Doc? I don't know...) is, she claims, in TEN PIECES! How is this possible?
I think those are just leftover pieces and the main file is there somewhere, but I haven't heard from her -- this happened yesterday afternoon -- and I don't know if she's even used the finder to locate it (does she remember the name of the file?) -- and now she's going to visit the Apple store, and hoping they can do something for this dilemma!
They can revert to a previous state, but then she might lose recent files.
Is there any way (even intensive) to undo this re-organization of her desktop?
What is the explanation of the important file splitting into ten pieces (apparently from accidentally re-organizing her desktop or pressing a combination of cmd, shift, ctrl, alt, and 4)? Is there any simple way to undo either of these? (I'd gladly suggest a program for her to use to combine pieces of a PDF file or images into a .doc, but at this point, understandably, she is wary of my help. I still want to know what's going on, nevertheless.)
    Thank You All!

No way I know of to undo an arrange.  And I've never heard of files being broken into pieces, whether PDF, DOC, or other.

  • HT1399 I just downloaded the newest version of itunes, and when I connect my ipod nano (3rd gen), I can no longer see my playlists (on the left hand side). I hate the new format...any way to revert back to the old one?

I just downloaded the newest versionof itunes. Now when I plug in my ipod, I can no longer see my playlists (listed on the left hand side). The new format is very confusing! How do I drag and drop songs into specific playlists I have?  Is there a way to revert back to the old itunes?

I had the same question. Someone answered perfectly here post https://discussions.apple.com/message/20575126#20575126
The answer was click View > Show sidebar. Devices and playlists will display in the left sidebar once again.

  • Is there any way to revert back to my old interface?

I installed ios7 this morning and I can't stand the new interface.  And no, it's not because I'm resistant to change or just haven't gotten used to it- I genuinely despise it.  It looks like something designed by a 10 year old preparing for a career as a clown.
I'm sure the answer to this is "no", but I'm gonna ask it anyway- is there any way to change the look of the interface?  some sort of setting that allows me to pick a different theme?

thanks... and that's a shame.  I particularly don't like the new calendar.  the old calendar had a preview pane at the bottom of the screen so you could you click on a day and see the calendar items, while still having the entire month in the view.  the new calendar functionality is difficult to use without that feature.  I didn't see a preference allowing one to show a preview pane.  of all the things I'm finding that I don't like about the new OS, this is probably the biggest.
are there any preferences or settings I can use to change the viewing options in calendar?

  • Any way to revert to old folder tree?

Hi - just upgraded to iPhoto6, and would /much/ prefer to have my directory tree as it was in version 4, where it was YEAR > MONTH > DAY, as that was the easiest way to find my way to a specific picture when I had one highlighted in iPhoto, with the info tab open, from another application. It was also a much easier way to navigate to a specific picture when I didn't feel like opening iPhoto when I knew on which date I took a specific picture.
So, is there any way to force it to use that old directory tree by organizing the folders in that way, rather than the roll #? Or, is there a way for the roll number to show up in the info tab in the lower left corner? Thanks...

    Hi Keith,
First in library view, go to
    View>Film rolls
    then
    View>sort>by film rolls
Now you can see the film roll your photo is in.
Next, I name my film rolls with the date and a couple of words.
    Such as "1/24/06 Fire pit"
When you change the title of the film roll within iPhoto, the title will also change in the Finder.
this will make images easy to find.
oh, you can't go back to the old structure. This new one, when you use it right is very handy.
Also, if the other application supports drag and drop, you can drag the image right from the library view to the application.
You can also set up an external editor in iPhoto Preferences. Once set up, you can control click on an image and open it in the edit mode, edit window, full screen, or the external editor you chose in the iPhoto Preferences.

  • Is there any way to revert an app to older/previous version?

Had a good app - Fing - and its last update was a complete fail. If I remove it, I lose all my data. Apparently everyone is having the same issue. I can wait, of course, but then again, as my other post mentions, my ipad is not updating and no one has answered me to resolve this (please refer to my latest post about this issue under my user name)
What will happen is I will have to update all my apps at once and it'll be mayhem. I live in the woods and my connection is limited. It's been several, days and I can't update bc It shows everything is up to date (had to believe when I was updating things daily) so aside from that issue, I just wanted to know if I can revert to an older version of an app. Thanks!
Oh by the way, my location services and gps don't work. I assume this is due to living in the middle of nowhere?

If you've synced your iPad to your PC recently with the updated version of Fing, the old version may be in your PC's trash if you have not emptied it recently.
If you've updated Fing on your iPad only and have NOT yet synced to the PC, the older version is likely still on the PC in your iTunes Apps Library (assuming it was synced with Fing installed). Delete Fing from the iPad using the iPad, then connect your iPad to the PC and sync the old version (still in your library) back to the iPad.

  • Trustee rights removed. Any way to revert to previous rights

Hi sorry for posting this here. First time poster really not sure where this goes. I'm using what I think is Novell 6 at a new job. I'm kind of an apprentice here. I was trying to remove trustee rights from one folder and ending up locking everyone out of our share drive. What happened after is I was able to give everyone access again but was unrestricted.
So I'm wondering is there a way to "undo" the removal of the trustee rights and revert back to how things were before? Otherwise I'm going to have to go through every file and folder one by one to give users individual access to these folders.
    Many thanks,
    Daniel

    Daniel,
There are forums specifically for Netware 6. This one:
