Any way to set recording source as "What You Hear"?

Just wondering. I used to have this in WIndows. Didn't get input from line or mic, but whatever was going out to the speakers. This is nice for using "Tape Deck" to grab Web radio snippets on the fly. Of course, it's recording from the builtin mic but that gets all the background noise too.

What you're looking for is some audio capturing software. Audio Hi-Jack is one that comes to mind. Whatever is available can be found on Versiontracker.com.

Can't get "What you hear" recording source to wo

I am using a SB Audigy 2 ZS platinum (sb0350p). There is no sound recorded when I try to record from the What you hear source.
I've tried to increase the volume in my advanced settings with no luck. It's if it is muted. I havn't checked any onter line in yet.
Any ideas?

The setup depends on your input and output sources. In the Creative mixer, unmute (enable) a source such as the microphone or Line-In and slide up the volume. If you're using a microphone, unmute that line and click on the red X and check +20dB boost. Also, click the red X over the "Master Control" and make sure you don't have digital output selected (unless that's what you want.)

Using Analog 2 or "What You Hear" for stereo recording

I'm recording sound bites from tv shows and movies to my Audigy 2 Platinum by using the front-panel's Analog 2 by plugging in the left and right channels for the audio.
When I record directly from Anolog 2, the sound is real low, but If I record from the "What you hear" option, it comes out a lot louder.
Is there any difference in how the audio is being formatted during it's recording by weather or not if I use Analog 2 or "What you hear"? Like in surround sound? Will I get surround sound quality from either Analog 2 or "What you hear"?

This low signal can be caused by wrong connection impedance or voltage, BUT also
Have you already tried by setting
- Source level to max (eg. Analog 2 in this case) on Surround Mixer and checked it equals on Windows Mixer (Control Panel_Sounds and Multimedia_Audio tab: Volume on both Play)
- Rec level too (on both as above /Rec)
I think you can't record surround directly using 1 stereo microphone/source.

Xfi - xtreme/vista - no "what you hear" - please h

I have puchased new Dell pc, with Vista ultimate, and soundblaster xfi xtreme card in. Looking at the forums i am not the only person with the problem of locating "what you hear", i have gone through process of right clicking and showing disbled functions but alas it is not there. I have uninstalled drivers and reinstalled and it makes no difference at all. My soundcard was put in by Dell and i am little reluctant having had this pc only a week to take out the soundcard to check for product number, therefore although i get 90 day help from Creative i cant use this service. I spend a lot of time playing music triv on paltalk and without "what you hear" i cant do this - i have gone through all forums to try find solution but none found so far, but there must be one.Would i be better off getting rid of Vista and putting XP on, will this work ??Many thanks

The drivers are on the Creative website. The only way I know to restore the "What You Hear" is to uninstall the driver and all the software, install an older version of the driver that had the "What you Hear" component (I don?t know where you?re going to get an older version of the driver), then update the driver to the latest one without uninstalling the old one unless prompted to during the update. After that you can install the software and whatever else you need.
This was how I got the option back after the driver update from the Microsoft Windows site installed the driver which removed the ?What You Hear? form my system.

It would be so much easier having seperate accounts but we have hundreds of her purchased songs on my account and she would need to be able to access these from her account. Possible?
Also, if we bought a song in future we would want to be able to both have access to it.

FYI: iTunes account (used to make purchases) is not the same as iTunes library (iTunes on your computer with music, movies, etc.).

You can but you will not be able to limit what she syncs.

Each of you can create your own playlists then sync only those playlists.
Then add/delete from your own playlists to change iPod content.

In addition, it renders the iPhone totally useless to anyone who doesn't know your Apple ID and password.

this is not the problem. i know how to open iTunes when it starts up and to schedule the computer to shut down. what i want to is at 8 pm close all applications except iTunes, put the display to sleep and at 9 pm start playing a sleep playlist. i have been told many times not to look at the computer an hour before bed and i so i want to avoid having to look at it to start my go to sleep playlist.

However, you can create your own custom menu, or a button in your form that displays that information using the Get_Block_Property when you click on your menu item or button.

Imagine I have a desktop Firefox and an Android Firefox. I create an account and sync desktop Firefox with Android Firefox. Now I disconnect sync in my Desktop.
For one week sync is disconnected and I changed my bookmarks a lot. After a week I want to sync them again. But if I sync desktop I will lose my bookmarks! actually they return to last week.
What can I do? I must create another account? Is this way reasonable?
I use Firefox 32.0.3 and there is no pair device and other thing that were in previous versions.

Yes, there is only one status for syncing between devices. All of the content is merged and each setting will only sync what you select. It is also not meant to be a back up service, just to sync data between devices.

No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that.

There is an option to set a passcode for the entire iPhone. You can use the following steps to set this up:

I am searching for a way to set global variables (used by business rules) automatically.
I got several variables which should change each month. I know the rule to set them.
However, I cannot find any way to set them through scripting or something else.
I tried to research EAS repository. The one that I found relevant is HBRVariables table.
I cannot find any tool can help this.
Any one knows how?

Yes you can use substitution variables in business rules and they are widely used, it is relatively easy to automate the changing of values for subtitution values.
You can also put a sub var into the default value for a global variable in business rules.
