Any way to set the starting hit counter value

I am moving some static pages to a blog template and would like to retain the hit counter values on the new pages. Is there a way to set the starting number other then reloading the page 25,000 times
thanks

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Not with the Apple counter. However, if you use a 3rd party counter like StatCounter you can set it to any number you want. You can also set it so it will not count your visits. To install see Old Toad's Tutorial #13 - Adding a StatCounter as an HTML Snippet.

When we try to deploy packages, if you don’t specify the time, it reverts to UTC which for us is off by 5 hours.

Which times are you talking about? Deployment start times or deadlines? Those could be set to UTC *or* client local time.

  • Is there any way to set the height of choice list or list of values?

    Hello Everyone,
    (Jdeveloper: 11.1.2.1.0)
I recently created a page with some fields as choice lists and some as list of values. Somehow the choice list when opened it is not displaying data properly (I have 3 rows, it is showing only 2 rows and have to scroll to see third row) . I would like to see if there is any way to set this so that I can see all three rows or set the height of choice list as a fixed height?
    Thanks,

  • Is there any way to set the default for *.doc document so that Pages opens them automatically?

I have a number of Ms Word documents because I used to have Word for Mac before the last OS release.  Now, of course, when I double-click on them, I get a message saying that PowerPC isn't supported.
Now Pages will open these files.  Is there any way to change the default for *.doc files so that a double-click will open them in Pages?
(Instead of me going to the trouble of finding out where they are actually located on the hard drive so that I can open pages and say - here, open this file--even though you didn't create it--)

Click on a .doc file and type Cmnd I to open Get Info. In the Open with: menu select Pages, then click on Change All…

  • Any way to set the file date?

    Hi-
I have recently switched to aperture, and imported my iPhoto library.
When I use the "Pictures" screensaver (the one where the pics fall down, looking like polaroids), all of the dates on them are 1/3/09-- the date that they were imported into the library.
It seems that the screensaver uses the file date, rather than the metadata for the date.
Is there any way to get the file date to match the exif date?
The photos are stored in the aperture library, if that matters.
Alternatively, are there any better screensavers for pictures out there (that would work with the aperture library)
    thanks,
    -jamie

So here's the thing. I'm still looking and I still can't find it. 'Tis a feature you have that I don't but by the sounds of things it's not much use with aperture anyway!
The issue is as I stated above. The screensaver uses the previews generated by aperture and thus references the creation date of the preview files not the original date taken from the EXIF metadata. Hence your problem. If you export jpegs out of aperture they will have today's creation date which (i' haven't been able to test as I can't find the annotations feature but) will be refernced as such by the screen saver.
So the solutions are twofold (and you have suggested them both):
    1) Find a screensaver that reads the exif metadata
    2) Turn off the feature.
you may possibly be able to send the contents of your smart folder back to iPhoto see if the screen saver reads it from there?
Sorry I can't be more help.
Anyone else able to chime in here?
    M.

  • Is there any way to set the inspector in Pages to default with your personal settings?

Every time I want to use Pages I have to use the inspector to indicate if I want a header and footer or not.  That is getting annoying.  I would like to be able to set margins and if I want the header and footer or not and then make these the default settings.  Is there any way to do this?

It appears to me after tinkering around that I can set a page like I want it and then save it as a template.  I did so to a folder in Finder.  Now the only way I can automatically bring up "default" settings on a Pages blank document is to go directly to that file in Finder and open it from there, not from Pages itself.  Is there any other way to do this?

  • Any way to set the Finder "Show View Options" across all folders on MacBook Pro?

Hello. I would like to know if there's a way to set one Finder / folder view setup (Show View Options) across every folder and sub-folder on OSX?
I don't like having to manually set up the "view options" for each and every folder from scratch .. I have 1 setup / template that I like and would like to apply it across the board to every folder that I ever open on OSX..
    Is this possible?

At the bottom of the window that opens in Show View Options there should be a button that enables you to make the current settings the default.

  • LAG & LEAD functions... Any Way to Retrieve the 1st non-NULL Values?

My question is this... Has anyone found an elegant way of getting the LAG & LEAD functions to move to the 1st NON-NULL value within the partition, rather than simply using a hard-coded offset value?
    Here's some test data...
IF OBJECT_ID('tempdb..#temp') IS NOT NULL DROP TABLE #temp
    CREATE TABLE #temp (
    BranchID INT NOT NULL,
    RandomValue INT NULL,
    TransactionDate DATETIME
    PRIMARY KEY (BranchID, TransactionDate)
    INSERT #temp (BranchID,RandomValue,TransactionDate) VALUES
    (339,6, '20060111 00:55:55'),
    (339,NULL, '20070926 23:32:00'),
    (339,NULL, '20101222 10:51:35'),
    (339,NULL, '20101222 10:51:37'),
    (339,1, '20101222 10:52:00'),
    (339,1, '20120816 12:02:00'),
    (339,1, '20121010 10:36:00'),
    (339,NULL, '20121023 10:47:53'),
    (339,NULL, '20121023 10:48:08'),
    (339,1, '20121023 10:49:00'),
    (350,1, '20060111 00:55:55'),
    (350,NULL, '20070926 23:31:06'),
    (350,NULL, '20080401 16:34:54'),
    (350,NULL, '20080528 15:06:39'),
    (350,NULL, '20100419 11:05:49'),
    (350,NULL, '20120315 08:51:00'),
    (350,NULL, '20120720 11:48:35'),
    (350,1, '20120720 14:48:00'),
    (350,NULL, '20121207 08:10:14')
What I'm trying to accomplish... In this instance, I'm trying to populate the NULL values with the 1st non-null preceding value.
The LAG function works well when there's only a single null value in a sequence but doesn't do the job if there's more than a singe NULL in the sequence.
    For example ...
    SELECT
    t.BranchID,
    t.RandomValue,
    t.TransactionDate,
    COALESCE(t.RandomValue, LAG(t.RandomValue, 1) OVER (PARTITION BY t.BranchID ORDER BY t.TransactionDate)) AS LagValue
    FROM
    #temp t
Please note that I am aware of several methods of accomplishing this particular task, including self joins, CTEs and smearing with variables.
So, I'm not looking for alternative way of accomplishing the task... I'm wanting to know if it's possible to do this with the LAG function.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jason

I just wanted to provide a little follow-up now that I had a little time to check up and digest Itzik’s article and tested the code posed by Jingyang.
Turns out the code posted by Jingyang didn’t actually produce the desired results but it did get me pointed in the right direction (partially my fault for crappy test data that didn’t lend itself to easy verification). That said, I did want to post the version
of the code that does produce the correct results.
IF OBJECT_ID('tempdb..#temp') IS NOT NULL DROP TABLE #temp
    CREATE TABLE #temp (
    BranchID INT NOT NULL,
    RandomValue INT NULL,
    TransactionDate DATETIME
    PRIMARY KEY (BranchID, TransactionDate)
    INSERT #temp (BranchID,RandomValue,TransactionDate) VALUES
    (339,6, '20060111 00:55:55'), (339,NULL, '20070926 23:32:00'), (339,NULL, '20101222 10:51:35'), (339,5, '20101222 10:51:37'),
    (339,2, '20101222 10:52:00'), (339,2, '20120816 12:02:00'), (339,2, '20121010 10:36:00'), (339,NULL, '20121023 10:47:53'),
    (339,NULL, '20121023 10:48:08'), (339,1, '20121023 10:49:00'), (350,3, '20060111 00:55:55'), (350,NULL, '20070926 23:31:06'),

    (350,NULL, '20120720 11:48:35'), (350,4, '20120720 14:48:00'), (350,2, '20121207 08:10:14')
    SELECT
    t.BranchID,
    t.RandomValue,
    t.TransactionDate,
    COALESCE(t.RandomValue,

    SUBSTRING(
    MAX(CAST(t.TransactionDate AS BINARY(4)) + CAST(t.RandomValue AS BINARY(4))) OVER (PARTITION BY t.BranchID ORDER BY t.TransactionDate ROWS UNBOUNDED PRECEDING)
    ,5,4)
    AS INT)
    ) AS RandomValueNew
    FROM
    #temp AS t
In reality, this isn’t exactly a true answer to the original question regarding the LAG & LEAD functions, being that it uses the MAX function instead, but who cares? It still uses a windowed function to solve the problem with a single pass at the data.
I also did a little additional testing to see if casting to BINARY(4) worked across the board with a variety of data types or if the number needed to be adjusted based the data… Here’s one of my test scripts…

    FROM #Temp AS t
Looks like BINARY(4) is just fine for any INT or DATE/DATETIME values. Bumping it up to 8 was need to capture the largest BIGINT value. For text strings, the number simply needs to be set to the column size. I tested up to 255 characters without a problem.
It’s not included here, but I did notice that the NUMERIC data type doesn’t work at all. From what I can tell, SS doesn't like casting the binary value back to NUMERIC (I didn't test DECIMAL).
    Thanks again,
    Jason

  • Any way to set the sort order other than in the query?

The report has an OrderBy parameter so the user can select which field is used for sorting. The query has an OrderBy clause referencing the parameter. The problem is that it doesn't always pay any attention to the parameter. (Since it appears to be intermittent my suspicion is that it really never pays any attention to it but that sometimes whatever actually is determining the order gives the same results.)
The problem is that putting an OrderBy clause in a query is the only way I know of to determine the output order of a report. Is there any other way?
    Thanks.

Unfortunately Break Order doesn't seem to be controlling the sort order. I found that the value was set on numerous fields but I've changed them all to None & it still isn't displaying in the order specified by the OrderBy parameter.
Note that this is a 'form layout' report with one page/record so it doesn't really have columns-but the pages are supposed to be printed in the order chosen by the user from a list of values. It doesn't seem to matter what's selected from that list though, the output appears in the same order as if no Order By clause is specified.
Can you think of anything else that would cause the report to ignore the order by clause?
    thanks.

Before I updated to iOS7 when I added a new entry in my calendar and set a time for the alert to sound, when it got to that time the alert would sound. • Is there any way to specify the default version of LabVIEW?

I have a sinking feeling that the answer to this question is "no."  With more than one version installed, is there any way to set the default LabVIEW version for opening a VI? I have both 7.1 and 8 installed, and usually only use 8 to open an example or look at something posted here.  When I do that, it resets all the OS hooks so that the default action for opening a VI is to open it in version 8.  I've even gone so far as to create actions to open files in 7.1 and 8, but it always resets my default action.
I found this KB article for when version 7 came out, but it's suggestions don't seem to work with 7 and 8.
Ugh. I hate it when software thinks it knows what I want better than I do.

    Add
in the LabVIEW.ini file of those versions you do not want to rewrite
the registry on startup to point to themselves for VI files, the
    following:
    RegisterExtensions=False
Of course the VersionChooser utility mentioned earlier is even more convinient.
