Any way to standardize desktop (dock, Aliases) between several Macs?

I use 5 different Macs, and would like to make all the desktops look exactly the same. The apps are mostly the same, but I can't just use a clone of the disk because the data (and disk size) are all different. All I want is for my dock (with the folders containing aliases to apps) and other aliases to apps on the desktop to be the same on all so that everything is where I expect to find it no matter which machine I'm sitting at. Is there any such convenient solution? Other than cloning the whole disk, surely someone who manages a lab of 100 Macs for students or something like this has a clever way of deploying the same experience for multiple computers?

I do that by syncing my laptop iCal with my iPod, and then moving my iPod to my desktop and importing the calendars. The way this works is kind of clumsy, maybe because I don't know better. But what I have to do is delete the calendars from my desktop computer that I want to update, and then import the new ones from the iPod. Then I have to reset the colors on the calendars I just imported. It's not a perfect solution, but it works well enough.

Any way to lock the dock?

Is there any way to lock the dock so it can't be changed? Every so often one of my kids drags an icon from the dock and I have to add it again.

We have several iphones in our household. An iphone 3, two iphone 3S and two iphone 4S. Our teenage daughter keeps snatching everyone's charger and then claims innocence. Funny thing, everyone's chargers are all gone and she's the only one who has one left. We've never caught her red-handed, but we know without a doubt she's the little thief in the house. Does the regular Firefox 8 release version work or does the version crash as well?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

What version of the Mac OS X are you running. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac and post the version.

The backup of your iPod Touch would include your camera roll photos. Restoring the backup to another iPod Touch or iPhone would recover them. Photos will not be restored by restoring the backup to an iPad.
Note: Apple deletes iCloud backups after 180 days of inactivity so be sure to do this before then.

Any way to theme the dock in Mountain Lion

I've been using Dock Library for the past few versions of osx to theme my dock with a dark glass background, I find it much easier to see the icons with my choice of wallpapers if there is a dark contrast behind the icons.
Is there any way to do this in mountain lion? Dock Library seems to no longer work and for such a basic usability issue it seems mad that I can just pick even from between a dark/light style for the dock.

CS 4 Master, Any way to capture Desktop to Streaming Video

I just purchased and downloaded Master Collection, is there any way to capture real time streaming Desktop to video format from within the collection? Or do I have to purchase Captivate 3. Any chance that there might be a plug-in for Premiere or any of the other collection software?

No official way to do this.
AppleTV 2/3 are configured for services Apple and their commercial partners have allowed.
Best you could do would be to find an app on iOS for one of those services and Airplay to AppleTV (or from a modern Mac running Mountain Lion), however many streaming services seem to limit video Airplay to audio only. Not sure about those you listed.

When a page loads all iterators are executed whihc can take some time if you have many of them on the page retrieving many rows. So what is on your home page?

When you add columns or resize columns it only effects whatever playlist you are in.

I have a device communicating with my PC using IEEE 488 GPIB card. Do we have any way to spy the data exchanged by the device and the PC running a different application.
I am trying to program an application that needs to gather data from a HP 54602A - 150 MHz - 4 Channel oscilloscope using a IEEE 488 add-on card. I am able to talk to the device and request the device number through MAX. I need to know the other commands to the oscilloscope. Can any one help me in this regard.

Launch NI Spy (Start >> Programs >> National Instruments >> NI Spy). You may want to configure it to capture 64k of data instead of 64 bytes since the strings sent to the device may be larger than 64 bytes.
Start capturing with NI Spy and then run the application. All of the calls made to the device will be captured in NI Spy. You can then look at the data buffers to determine what strings are being sent to your device.

Is there any way to delete the favorites folder from the mac mail sidebar?
