Any way to view backed up notes from iPod touch?

I accidentally deleted a note on my iPod touch, but just remembered that it'll probably be in the automatic backup from when I last connected it to my PC.
Is there any way of parsing the backup data to read the note? I don't really care about actually restoring it to the iPod, I'd just like to read it. Perhaps someone's written a 3rd party utility for this? Or maybe the data is in plain text somewhere in the backup files?
Alternatively, is there any way of just restoring this one note without blatting over all other content on the device? If I restore, will it delete more recent notes, or just re-add the older ones from the backup?

if i remember, i read that the notes will not backuped or so. My way is, using the email button in the notes app to send important things to my email account and store them.
second question ... yes were are a lot of third party "productivity apps" in the App-Store to solve your problem in different way, local or throught the web.

Is there any way of going back to io7 from io8?
Nothing works anymore. £500 plus worth of music apps and hardware not functioning, Apps that I have paid for disappearing from the store after a reset. is it really worth investing any more time or money into this product? what a joke it is becoming. This is worse than windows vista.
Can anyone from Apple help me with this? thought not. You don't allow reverting back to earlier io versions for some strange reason. Have you forgot that we are the customer?

Sorry, Apple does not support downgrading.
As to apps disappearing, it's not uncommon for apps to be removed from the app store. I have a couple of games that I play that are no longer available.
Did you install 8 'over the air'? If so, research into doing a restore. Use a computer to back up your device and then reinstall iOS8 via a computer, and then restore your data from the backup. Sometimes a clean install clears away glitches caused by over the air installs.
If you just wish to express your frustration to apple, on the lower right corner of this page is a 'contact us' link. Send them feedback and let them know.

  • Is there any way to sync my contacts on my ipod touch to Microsoft Outlook?

Is there any way to sync my contacts on my ipod touch to microsoft outlook using the push service from Mobile Me? Or any other mode of transferring?

Sure. Install the latest version of iTunes on your PC, and just connect your iPod Touch to it, decline the prompt to autosync (the warning about losing your music), then go into the info tab, select sync contacts, and click apply. Your contacts will be transferred (both directions, i.e. the outlook contacts and your IPT contacts will be merged and the combined set will be present on both lists).
    Hope this helps...

  • Is it possible to print notes from iPod touch?

I have lots of stuff on notes, like songs, stories, etc. I haven't got the latest update, and that is another problem. Is there any way I can print my notes?

I can't find a way of directly printing them.  You can paste them into an app that support printing.

  • Any way to view and delete photos from a camera or card without importing?

I received my iPad yesterday and I have a Camera Connection Kit. I'd like to be able to view photos from my cf card, connected via a card reader and the Connection Kit, without having to import them. I take hundreds of pics at sporting events and would like a quick way to view the files and determine which ones are "keepers," then delete the others from the card before importing to my Mac for editing and creating web galleries.
So far I cannot find an app that "sees" the card except the native Photo app, which only allows selection for import, not zooming or deleting.
    any tips?
    thanks
    steven

You can delete images from most (but not all) SD cards with the camera connection kit. But you have to import them to the iPad first. I don't know how long it takes to import hundreds of photos, so that may not be too quick. I doubt that Apple is going to open the kit up to developers because for whatever reason they want it restricted to photos only. So nothing else, short of a hack, is going to be able to read from or write to the CC kit's SD card.
There are other card reader/viewers available on the market and you could use one of those. Some are quite inexpensive. But I honestly don't know if the cheap ones have delete from the card capabilities. Anyway, a Google search of "card reader viewers" will get you the list.

  • Any way to view multiple replies/forwards from single message

In Entourage it was possible to do this: view all replies to and forwards from a single message. In Mail, on the other hand, by default it's only possible to view a single reply/forward when clicking on the reply/forward arrows in the view column.
Is there any way to see all replies/forwards to a single message? It would be much more convenient than going through the "Sent" box looking for correspondence. This is one area where Entourage 2004 was superior to Mail.
    Thanks in advance.

I've used this as well. The problem with that is clicking on the reply/forward arrow will only display one reply/forward. Sometimes I reply and forward or reply to one message several times. Only one (the first or last I assume) will ever display. I would like to see all correspondences for that single message in the inbox (or elsewhere). This was quite a nice feature of Entourage, which actually was a pretty decent email client save for that single database.
    Thanks again for your suggestions.

  • Any way to get back to the old iPod view in iTunes 7?

I'd prefer it if when I connected my iPod that iTunes acted the way it did before iTunes 7 -- ie, iPod shows up in Source list, and the list of music on the iPod is displayed in Browse view.
With iTunes 7 each time I connect my iPod I get the iPod summary screen, and I have to click on the iPod music list, and then click on the Browse button in the lower right to get the view I want.
Is there any way to set iTunes to open to the Browse view by default? It's annoying to go through that summary screen every time. I wish it would just remember the view the last time I had the iPod connected.
Sorry if this question has been asked and answered before. I searched but couldn't find a mention of it.
    thanks
    PD

I would also like to know how to get rid of ugly *** white background. It ****** me off every time I have to look at it. There is nothing that I see here as being an improvement over the last itunes.

  • Is there any way to track or find my lost ipod touch 5G without using Find My Iphone?

Imlost my ipod about a week and a half ago, and the last place i remeber using it was ina friends car, but i looked in my friends car and it was no where to be found!! Kinda weird, but anyway I want to know if there is any way for me to track or find it without the Find my Iphone app.

Only the old fashioned way like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    No app is required.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    iCloud: Find My iPhone
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.
    - Apple will do nothing without a court order
Reporting a lost or stolen Apple product
    - iOS: How to find the serial number, IMEI, MEID, CDN, and ICCID number

  • The other day at school i had lost/stolen ipod touch i had signed up with apple but i havent download the app (find my iphone) is there any way i can find out when my ipod touch gets connected to a wifi and track it

how do u track an ipod touch when its connected to a wifi and how do u find out when its your stolen ipod touch is connected

If you set up the Find My iPod service prior to the iPod going missing - the app is for tracking an iOS device from another iOS device - then there is a chance that can be tracked, though it depends on a number of factors (the iPod is turned on, connected to a WiFi network, and has not had the Find My iPod service disabled). Log into icloud.com and go to the Find My iPhone section. Note, though, that you'll only get the location of the WiFi router to which the iPod is connected; there's no way to pinpoint the exact location of the iPod itself.
If you did not set up Find My iPod, then there is no way to track it. Notify the police and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPod (the iTunes Store, for instance).
    Regards.

  • Is there any way to fix the home button on ipod touch?

my home button has today stopped working!  is there any way that this can be fixed, either by a repair shop or by me doing some thing?  at the moment the only way to get out of an app is to turn off the ipod and then tuirn it back on again - which is getting really tiresome and annoying!!
About 2 mnths ago the ipod was submerged in liquid but oonly for seconds, it has since worked fine (thank god) with no troubles, but like i said, today for some reason the home buttn is no longer doing its job!! please help lol !!

  • Is there any way to fix cameras in 4th generation iPod touches without going to Apple?

I just took my iPod touch's screen to get fixed by a third party because going to Apple would have been more expensive and would have taken longer; however, after getting the iPod back, I realized that neither the front nor back cameras work. I can apparently get the front one to work on FaceTime (I think?) and sometimes on SnapChat, but the back one is a lost cause in any app or any time I open the Camera option. Are there any sort of diagnostic tests or something that I can run to fix it? I have an appointment later this week with Apple but I would love to not have to pay more than I already have to fix this problem. Please help as soon as possible!!
    Quinn

I d not know of any troubleshooting.
What does the person who replaced the screen say? Could be a lost connection or broken ribbon cable.

Apple is likely not to help because someone else worked on the iPod.

  • Is there any way to get "voice memo" (the iPhone/ipod touch app) onto our new iPad 3?

I know there are apps in the app store that will have similar functionality, but I want Apple's original "Voice Memo" app for it's reliability, automatic syncing with iTunes on our other devices, ability to trim easily, and the overall interface.  I'd be willing to pay a purchase price, but I don't see any way of obtaining it... I'm a bit irritated as I thought this would have come standard as it did on my old iPod Touch. (I see it's still standard on iPhone and iPod Touch, too!)

No Voice Memos app by Apple on the iPad. I downloaded one from the App Store from another developer that is nearly identical.
