Any way to view ONLY uncompleted To Dos?

ICal on the Desktop doesn't show me completed To Dos, as per my preference, but every last To Do is on the iPod. Is there a simple way to fix this?

There is not a native ToDo application on the Iphone. There are quite a few available in the application store. However, I don't believe any of them will sync to iCal - a few will sync with Toodleoo and Remember the Milk.

Not really no, as flash is not supported (http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/) and Adobe have failed to create a version of flash that works on iOS devices anyway. Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter and Puffin 'work' on some sites, but not all judging by their reviews. Also a number of sites (especially news sites) have their own apps in the app store so you could check to see if your favourite sites have their own apps. And there is the built-in app for YouTube.

  • Is any way of viewing IE only sites in Safari?

    Hi guys
Will admit that I have had very little experience of Macs - do you know if there is any way of viewing IE only sites in Safari?
Is there a plugin that I can download? If so, can you advise the link please.
    TIA

"do you know if there is any way of viewing IE only sites in Safari?"
In general if a web site has chosen to write and test their site only using Windows IE, or if they have chosen to use Microsoft proprietary technology (like Active X) there is nothing a non-Windows user can do except request the web site developers to support established web standards that support ALL platforms and browsers. Sometimes the web site will actually work with Safari but the web site blocks any browsers other than Windows. Safari can be made to present itself as Windows IE 6 to the web site. For a new user the simplest way to do this is to get the free OS X utility called Onyx. Using Onyx the user can turn on a hidden Safari menu called the "Debug" menu. From that menu the user can tell Safari to fake the web site into thinking it's taking to a Windows IE 6 browser. This is usually a hit-or-miss workaround. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. You could also try using a alternate browser like Firefox, Camino, Opera, and a number of other OS X compatible browsers. Again, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't work.
As a new Mac user it is very important for you to understand that the Safari browser is not defective, substandard, or limited. Safari is probably one of the best standards compliant browsers in existence. The problem lies with the fact that Windows IE doesn't follow the rules very well, responds to code differently than standards based browsers, tolerates errors much more than it should (which is one major reason for its security problems) and is totally tied to the Windows OS. Because 85% of the world uses Windows there are a lot of lazy web site developers that test their pages only with Windows IE. They don't care if their site doesn't work with anything else.
Don't ever believe these sites if they tell you that something is wrong with Safari. It's THEIR site that is not standards compliant. Tell them they need to support accepted web standards.
This, of course, doesn't solve the problem but you are not alone. OS X, Linux, Unix users all face the fact that some sites will simply not work with anything else than Windows IE. The 800 lb gorilla does what it wants, when it wants, to whoever it wants.

  • Is there a way to view only the apps I'm not using?

If I attach all my iOS devices to my computer, is there a way to view only the apps in my iTunes library that are NOT being used by any device?  To make it easier to know which I'm not using, so I can delete them off my computer and free up some space?

  • Is there any way to view 2, 3, 4, etc. days beginning on any day?

Is there any way to view 2, 3, 4, etc. days beginning on any day? In pre-Lion iCal, opt-cmd-2 displayed 2 days, opt-cmd-3 displayed 3 days, etc. The first day could be any day of your choice.
With Lion iCal, if you begin in any view other than week view, those shortcuts work. (I did not see them in the list of shortcuts.) But it always begins on Sunday.
Is there any way to regain the ability to see any number of days beginning on any day? (Even gCal allows this, and I can't believe Apple would take such a step backwards in functions.) The only way I can figure out to do this now is by opening the General tab in Preferences and setting a new day to "Start week on." It's an understatement to say that this is much less flexible than in pre-Lion iCal.

Found a way to accomplish it:
    In iCal's Preferences > General
Select the "Days" popup for "Scroll in Week View by"
"Weeks" was the previously-selected choice, so I assume it's the default. I don't remember this option in the older version of iCal.
The result is not the same as pre-Lion iCal, but it's just as good.

  • Seriously? Is there not any way to view DRM-protected books downloaded from iTunes on my MacBook Pro?  I cannot believe that there is no way around this?

Seriously?  Is there not any way to view and read DRM-protected books downloaded on iTunes on my MacBook Pro?  I cannot believe that there is not any way around this!  I seem to constantly get confounded by what seems to be the most amazingly unbelievable conundrums with Apple despite having been a champion of the company for years and years.  This relates to tethering on iPhone, external Apple hard drives only being usable with MacBook Air, and now this! If anyone is aware of a hack or way around this I would appreciate some guidance.  Thanks!

    "Seriously? "
    Yes.
" Is there not any way to view and read DRM-protected books downloaded on iTunes on my MacBook Pro?"
    There is not.
" I cannot believe that there is not any way around this!"
    Believe it.

The digitization of data has introduced a complexity to our interactions with it that we continue to struggle with.  "Picture" and "Photo" now mean different things in different contexts.  In this case (and in general) defining our terms clearly is the first step towards understanding what we are trying to do.  Understanding is the path that allows us to do it.
All pedantic, but please stick with me here  .
You record a set of instantaneous data with a camera.
That data is processed by your camera and saved to a file.
The file format is usually either RAW or JPG.
You transfer those files to your computer, and you import them into the program Aperture (often in one operation).
From each camera-file imported, Aperture creates a record in its database (called, imho unhelpfully, a Library) and an Image that you see in the Aperture Browser and Viewer.
Aperture links the Image and the imported file.
The imported file is called, within Aperture, an Original.
    Every Image has an Original.
The Image is not the Original.  The Image is what you see in Aperture.
The Original is a file that is stored on your computer.
You can make changes to an Image.
    Aperture calls these changes Adjustments.
Adjustments are saved to another file attached to the record in the database.  Let's call this file the Changes File.
Aperture uses these two files attached to the record in the database to create the Image.
Image = Original + Changes File.
The Image is not a file.
Because the Image is not a file, it cannot be shared with other programs.  It exists only inside of Aperture.
In order to share an Image with another program, you must first create a file of the Image.
You do this by exporting Images ("File ▹ Export ▹ Version" is the command in Aperture; should be, imho, "File ▹ Export ▹ Image").
You may ask, "Why all the complexity?  Why doesn't Aperture save Images as files?"  The answer is simple:  Images can require less — and in many cases very very much less — storage space than files of Images.  Rather than save a full-size file for every Image, Aperture saves only instructions on how to make that full-size file.  The gain in storage efficiency is huge.  The trade-off is that although your Images are always available to be made into share-able files, you must create those files when needed (which you do by exporting selected Images).
Here is your question reworded with more precise terms:
    SamanthaR22 might have written:

No, there is not.  Images exist only in Aperture, and are not accessible for use in other programs.  You must create, for each Image in your Aperture Library, a new file outside of your Aperture Library in order to use it with another program.
Aperture does allow you to create and save within your Library share-able files of your Images.  These files are called Previews.  You specify the file parameters in Aperture Preferences on the Previews tab.  These files are available to other programs via the OS X Media Browser.  These files are what you get when you drag selected Images out of the Aperture program and drop them on another program or on your desktop (which is part of the Finder).

  • Is there any way to view a keynote presentation and the presenter notes on the iPad at the same time?

Is there any way to view a keynote presentation and the presenter notes on the iPad at the same time? My professors at school have keynote presentations and i take notes during class with the presenter notes feature. I was wondering if there was any way i can view both of them on the same screen on my iPad while studying? This way I could see their slides along with the notes i take during class.

None that I know of. Suggest to Apple.

    Hi Nalani500 ,
Yes, you can print the response in a PDF by following the steps suggested below.
    1) Go to the response file
    2) Select the response you want to print
    3) Click on Save as PDF button and it would save the selected response in PDF format.

  • Any way to view you tube videos?

is any way to view you tube videos while waiting for this quicktime fiasco to be fixed? No quicktime movies are working at all, and it's really annoying. I was wondering if there was an alternate method to view videos or do I just have to wait patientally?

well here is the deal. Since I did the recent update on quicktime, NO quicktime movies play at all. I get that faded quicktime logo with a ? instead. Youtube also has that for every video and nothing plays. I have flash 9 and I unchecked the flash option (there wasn't wasn't one in the mime settings, it was just in the quicktime advanced tab), restarted The computer and I till have the same result. It has been a week allready and I still can't view movies of any sort. Thank you for yoru suggestions, but Is there anything else that could be wrong?

  • Map View, Best way to view only desired locations?

I have large areas peppered with dozens of thumbtack locations, and would like a quick way to view only photos whose thumbtacks are shown in the current map view, without creating a new Smart Album to do so.
iPhoto has this ability, and hoping someone here knows a work-around in Aperture.
It would be nice if manually selecting multiple thumbtacks worked, but only one at a time seems possible.

What do you mean by "view only photos"? The only way I know to restrict the Images shown in the Browser is to use a filter.
In all views including Places view the Browser shows the contents of the currently selected container with the current filter applied.  You can apply filters based on the Rule "Place" by selecting from the tiles at the top of the map view.  You cannot select more than one item at a time, but you can manually add additional "Place" rules to the filter.
You can also apply filters by clicking the small blue-circled arrow that shows when you hover your cursor on the pin label that pops up when you hover over, or select, a pin.  This works with only one pin at a time, however.
You should be able to select all Images associated with each pin you click by pressing and holding the Command key while clicking pins one after the other.  You could then create a new Album which will show just those selected Images.
I know of no way to create a filter from multiple selected pins.
Léonie's method of zooming out to create new pins will allow you to create a filter based on the newly created pin.  Note that the pins change dynamically with the zoom level of the map.  But you are still limited to one pin per filter unless you manually add "Place" Rules.

It would be nice if clicking the "small blue-circled arrow" would react to multiple selected Location Pins, rather than just one!
By "view only photos," I was hoping there is a similar function to iPhoto, in that the current map view, and the Pins shown within that view, can be used to quickly "find" images.
Aperture does have this functionality, but only through creating a new Smart Album.  This is located in the "Gear" icon, bottom left in Places view.
leonieDF, Perhaps the "Hide Place badges" option would help?

  • Any way to view iTunes playlist in list view??

Is there any way to view my playlists in a list view?  Viewing by album art is incredibly cumbersome and takes forever.

    This is what I heard:
Playlists show up as album art until you tap on one to reveal the list of songs in the playlist. That is the way that the new Music App works in iOS 5.

What version of Premiere Elements do you have and on what computer operating system is it running?
Are you referring to opening your Premiere Elements project on your computer in an iPad Premiere Elements app at a remote location? I have not seen any Premiere Elements apps for iPad or other. But there are video editing apps for iPad which can be found described online and rated...if you are working with Mac, I think that an iMovie app is available for iPad.
Premiere Elements 12 does get involved with your mobile device and accessing your videos/photos that were uploaded to Adobe Revel in the export section of the project.
Also, I was wondering if you could be referring in any way to using your iPad as an external monitor for Premiere Elements on your computer.
This appears to be a can do operation for Mac and Windows from what I have read.
