First you have to unpair them from their previous devices.

  • Wireless keyboard and mouse with emac

    Hi,
Does anyone know whether the new wireless keyboard and mouse will work with eMac without built in bluetooth, and USB 1.0?
    Should I use a USB 2.0 dongle or a USB 1.0 dongle.
Any help would be very appreciated.
    thanks

That is how I use my macbook. When I start up in the moring, I turn the mouse, keyboard and monitor on first, I then hit the power button on the macbook and immediately close the lid. The macbook will then boot up on the external display. Just in case you allow the macbook to go to sleep, you need to go to allow bluetooth devices to wake the computer. You set this in the bluetooth system prefs.

  • Ultraslim wireless keyboard and mouse not working

Hi ,  I purchased the Lenovo Ultraslim Wireless Keyboard & Mouse (pn: 57Y4700) about 4 months ago for use with my T60 laptop (which i use with a docking station and large lenovo monitor at work).
Everything was woking fine until last Monday when I can into work after the weekend and neither the mouse or keyboard worked. I replaced the batteries in both, rebooted the machine several time, switch the USB ports for the nano receiver, but nothing seems to have worked.
I looked online for troubleshooting options, but did not find anything.
The mouse and keyboard don't seem to have a "sych" button - if I recall correctly everything worked right out of the box.
My theory is that the nano reciever was damaged (not sure how) -- but don't know how to proceed:
    can the nano reciever be replaced;
    any other options to troubleshoot;
any chance that this could be a software problem
    Thanks

    Hi coffee12345,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I have read your post on your wireless keyboard and mouse not working with your desktop, and I would be happy to help you! To begin, I need to ask you a few introductory questions:
What is the Product and Model Number of your desktop?
What version of Windows are you using?
Is this a recent issue, or has it been like this since day one?
Are you using a USB hub to connect your peripherals or is it directly plugged into the computer?
Please re-post with the necessary information, and I look forward to your reply!

  • One Wireless keyboard and mouse, two computers

Can I use my wireless keyboard and mouse on both my macs at the same time? I would like to move from one machine to the next if possible.

If you're talking about Bluetooth keyboards/mice, then no, you can only pair with one computer at a time. See the last item on [this kb article|http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/5191.html].
If you were trying to use a wired keyboard/mouse, then the normal recommendation is to get something called a KVM (keyboard, video, mouse switch.) There is no equivalent to a KVM for Bluetooth.

  • I have just replaced my mac mini because previous motherboard was damaged. I want to pair with my existing wireless keyboard and mouse but can only pair with thebold mac mini which will not start. Any ideas?

See title. How do I unpair a wireless keyboard and mouse when the previous paired mac mini is damaged and will not start?

You should be able to go to System Preferences -> Keyboard and System Preferences -> Mouse and discover the bluetooth devices.
Also, do you have a bluetooth icon on the top bar of your mac?  Should look sort of like this:
If you can figure out which device is which (by trial and error, if nothing else), you can connect to them on this menu.

  • Will the new Apple wireless keyboard and mouse work with my Macbook Pro?

Looking at purchasing a wireless keyboard and mouse for my Macbook Pro. Figured the one made by apple will work, but not sure... Any suggestions on a good wireless keyboard and mouse, or knowledge on whether Apples will work or not?

    magic mouse: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Apple/MB829LLABB/
I just got them last week and the keyboard is new and the mouse is used but looks brand new.  And you get a free pair of AA bateries with the mouse.  And you can get 2AA batteries for the keyboard for an extra $1.29 I highly recommend going this route as I did very recently and am very pleased.

  • What's going on with my wireless keyboard and mouse power status?

My iMac (Nov. 2009) came with the wireless keyboard and mouse. When the original batteries wore out, I started using rechargeable batteries and that has worked fine. This is Energizer recharger, not Apple's. I've used and recharged them for well over a year now. When my batteries are freshly recharged, my iMac tells me I have something like 75% charge.
Earlier this week I'm being told that the batteries have 100% charge. They've never been 100% charged, even when they were new. I haven't charged the batteries for several weeks either when suddenly I supposedly have 100% charge.
    What's going on?

This is a change that occurred with the 10.6.7 update. Everyone suddenly has 100% charge when other tools report less. Either it's a bug or they adjusted the scale by which it's measured. Some users report that the percentage starts to decrease after the battery is more depleted.
There's a widget you can use in dashboard in the mean time. Located here:
    http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/status/mightymonitor.html
We'll wait and see if this is a bug or intentional.

  • Can't use Filevault 2 with Wireless Keyboard and Mouse

Am I the only one who can't get File Vault 2 to work with a wireless keyboard and mouse? It seems that the "Recovery Partition" of Lion which you have to log into in order to enable File Vault 2 doesn't support BlueTooth devices so it's impossible to log in and start the encryption process. And after using a USB keyboard to do the encryption, I now can't log onto the encrypted disk for the same reason.
I can't believe that nobody else has noticed this, so what am I doing wrong?
    Thanks

I have exactly the same problem; I have an original Apple Wireless keyboard (the older, full-size white and clear plastic keyboard), and a Logitech MX-Revolution mouse, both work just fine using the recovery partition, but don't respond at all for the FileVault login prompt.
The mouse just doesn't do anything, and if others are getting USB devices to work then my mouse should work since it has its own wireless receiver, masquerading as a USB device, but it's just frozen in place. Meanwhile my keyboard appears to connect normally, but the login screen is completely unresponsive, pressing caps-lock doesn't cause the caps-lock button to light up, even though I know the keyboard works just fine.
Considering the push for more wireless by default it seems odd that this problem exists, especially when my devices all work perfectly fine for selecting start-up disk, starting up from CD and so-on. Does anyone have a more concrete fix for this? FileVault 2 was one of the features I was really looking forward to but I can't even properly enable it, I'm just fortunate that Lion at least stops the process if you don't log-in successfully the first time.
As a side note; is the same pre-boot login required if you enable FileVault encryption on a non start-up volume? If not, at what point does the volume become available? I'm hoping to separate my OS and user folders onto my SSD and regular HDs respectively, but if I enable FileVault for my HDs only, will I still need the pre-boot login?

  • Initial set up with wireless keyboard and mouse!!

My gods, I set up a mac mini with wireless keyboard and mouse. It stead fastly refused to find the brand new apple wireless mouse. I had to plug a wacom in, in the end to get anywhere. Then it would not find the keyboard, again apple wireless. It did find the keyboard but when it started the pairing just came up with no keyboards were found.
I struggled in the end and after around 10 minutes blagged the keyboard, I don't know how it just suddenly worked.
Thinking about this I had the self same problem on a wireless keyboard and mouse for an iMac as well I installed for a friend, it took ages and ages for the computer to discover the two apple devices.
Am I just unlucky or is there voodoo involved? Luckily I am a seasoned apple user so got there in the end, but if I were a switcher and the very first experience of my new mac was it could not find its own mouse, I would not be impressed.

I've been using the Apple wireless mouse and keyboard with my Mac mini for about a year.
I've noticed that whenever the batteries for the two devices are running very low, they may not be recognize by the mini. Other than that, they are fine.

  • Can the iPad work with a wireless keyboard and mouse?

Would like to know if the new iPad will work with a wireless keyboard and mouse!

There are quite a few threads requesting this facility, so I thought I would choose this recently active (at the time of writing) post to reply to, in the hope some thinking appleite with influence stumbles upon it.
I totally get Apples philosophy of not polluting their interface design concepts with the introduction of a clunky so-last-year cursor; I actually agree.  What I can't understand so much is that there are a number of apps that could benefit from mouse support. The one I need is RDP.  This class of apps allow us to connect to servers running other operating systems using the IPad; why not authorise CERTAIN APPS to access the Bluetooth mouse stack, and let us have joy.  It doesn't affect the iPad experience in the slightest, at least not to it's detriment.
The new retina screen is such that I actually prefer the experience of using my iPad to connect to the server than my laptop!, but given I develop software, there is no way my stubby finger can compete the clinical accuracy of a mouse when using intricate interfaces such as MSDE.  With just that one addition, I would practically move into the post pc era you tout so much, at least in my interfacing With the post pc pc,s :).
    Thanks

  • Linksys Wireless Router Conflicting with Wireless Keyboard and Mouse?

I am getting ready to purchase a Linksys Wireless-N Router with a PCI Wireless-N Adapter (2). Will I have a conflit with my Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse? I have two home computers that I want to set up with a wireless router. Should I use a Linksys Wireless-N Home Router or a Linksys Wireless-N Broadband Router? Which Wireless-N PCI Adapters should I use?

No you should not have a problem with the router conflicting with the wireless keyboard/mouse.  They are on a different frequency all together from the wireless router.

  • Does VM Ware Support Apple Wireless Keyboard and Mouse

I downloaded VM Ware from Apple.com. I got to my Windows XP Home login screen, but I could not move the mouse to login to the XP Computer. I had to restart the computer by holding down the power button because I was, "stuck." Does anyone out there know if VMWare is compatible with the wireless keyboard and mouse? I'm using Leopard and Windows XP Home SP 2.
    Thanks,
