An Apple spokesman recently went on record stating the issues "are complex."
It seems that Apple's SDK agreement precludes development of navigation apps; Section 3.3.7 of the iPhone SDK license agreement apparently states, "Applications may not be designed or marketed for real time route guidance..."

Current speculation is that Apple is working on their own navigation app (and therefore preventing others from releasing competing apps). The on-again-off-again rumors about a TomTom app are consistent with this, as they apparently had a working one but it never materialized.

Hi all,
Is there any word on if Apple will officially support W8 using Bootcamp (and not Parrallels etc)?
I assume that it will happen once W8 is officially released in October however I was wondering if anyone has any official word.
Otherwise, if a clean install of the Win 8 RTM is already able to be done via bootcamp can someone point me to some instructions (the only reason I dont want to do it myself is because all the drivers from BC are for Win 7)

Apple will support it when Windows 8 is released. You can install Windows 8 at your risk, because Boot Camp doesn't support it now

How can I return my PDF doc back into word doc when Acrobat will not read the files.

I changed one doc into a PDF and now all my doc have changed to PDF. I need to have all my word doc back but the Adobe said it can not read the formate.

What was your workflow to change the word doc to PDF format.
The Acrobat application/Service does not change the original document it makes copy of that document and converts to another format you choose.
Please share your steps that you choose to convert the word doc to pdfs.

Databases deployed through FileMaker's new WebDirect do not render properly in Firefox, apparently due to lack of support for HTML5. We deploy this on both Windows and Mac. -- Victor

As the other guys have said, don't use AE to render using temporal codecs. Temporal codecs like H264 rely on storing partial frames based on earlier information. AE renders and encodes one frame at a time, so most of the efficiency of a codec like H264 is lost. The result is that you get much lower overall quality from an AE h.264 render than if you were to encode it externally.
Adobe Media Encoder or Quicktime 7 will encode great quality H.264 files.
Also, AME has a lot of convenient features like encoding presets for common web services and devices.

I'm using iOS 7.04 on my iPhone and basically can't use it. The screen is going crazy. I type and special characters show up. I have to hit send more than once (it grays out, then hit again) then it sends. I type words in text or email and it backspaces and deletes my entire message. I tap an application and it starts wiggling to delete. I've reboot several times. I'm looking at restoring, but that is a pain in the arse (it's my work phone). I'm nervous it will not restore properly.
I have iOS 7.03 on iPad and have no issues.

Any word on when Windows 10 will become available for Qosmio X75-7180

I have the Windows 10 "Get Windows 10" taskbar button and am still waiting for a notification that "Windows 10 is ready for my specific PC." Any word from Toshiba about when this will happen? I have a Surface Pro 2 that upgraded to Windows 10 last week, and so far it's been awesome - very fast and snappy, easy to use, and the upgrade process was a snap. I've heard of people having trouble upgrading from the website, so I'm waiting until I get the specific notice so that I know all the customized drivers are baked into the system.

Any word on when the new NSU will be available?

As with the recent Vista incompatibility issues, thousands of Nokia handset owners are up in arms about, and are wondering when this will be fixed. I was informed Nokia headquarters in Norway were aware of the problem on the 9th of this month (April 2008), but wanted to ask if anyone knew the release date for the revised Nokia Software Updater?
Me personal, have issues with it installing correctly, and Im using Vista Business, and have tried everything, and am led to believe its down to the latest version of NSU.
Please advise.

Are there any updates on when Apple will let us delete purchased iBooks permanently from iCloud?

On my Mac I am not able to hide purchased books. I want to delete some permanently to free up space and because I will never read them again. I am not purchasing any more ibooks until we can have the option to delete. I have read lots of blogs but hoping to find someone that knows what are when Apple intends to address. Lots of unhappy users out there.

Here is the way I was able to fix this problem so other people with this problem may benefit from this as a way to give back to the support forum community.
This problem seems to only affect people using iCloud as their main syncing device. If you still sync to you computer and do not use iCloud, well you shouldn't have this problem anyways :)
Connect your iPad to your Mac and sync with iTunes. In my case since I use iCloud to sync, be careful of what you let your Mac/PC sync with your iPad, it has a tendency to remove all data from a category and replace it with what you have stored on the computer if you don't disable sync on each of the tabs.
Next in the books tab tell it to remove all book data from your iPad and those stuck downloads should be gone!
Now just go to the iBooks store on your iPad and re-download the books from iCloud.

Adobe Flash player doesn't support the new android type devices such as my new Kindle Fire but i understand they are going to have an app out for these devices this year. Any idea on when that will be?

Any word on when AE CS6 and Premiere will be fixed?

Just spent the better part of the afternoon searching and trying the various tweaks recommended to make CS6 video editing programs usable. No luck.
Efficiency of these programs has tanked since CS5.5 so now I wait to see if and then there will be an update to at least make these apps work as good as they have in the prior iteration. IF they work for you, great. I'm really glad for you that you don't face the same frustration so many others , including myself are facing.
Both my test machines are Macs, both run Mountain Lion.
MacPro with 10 gigs of RAM and...
MacbookPro with 16gigs RAM
Both look to render a 5 minute movie in over two hours without any additional plugins or special effects. Basically a simple screen shot movie and an Audition wav file as the voice over for an instructional movie to help some seniors with Photoshop.
Regardless, just opened the same two files as a new project in AE 5.5 and... well... it works. there is no minutes of delay when scrubbing the timeline and now I have something usable.
But the frustration that a product woudl be released (CS6) in such a poor state is , well.... (fill in the blanks)
So, my question is ; is there word on Adobe fixing and acknowledging this problem?
