Anybody have this problem with Genius?
After a week long fiasco with Itunes, I was able to get my Itunes working again....sweet...not so fast my friend. I had everything back in place, so my last step was to update my Genius mix, that should be easy, click on update....BOOM...CRASH...ME ---->. So, I shut down my computer and reboot it, but now my computer moves like it's driving Mrs. Daisy (very slow), and I can't open programs such as Itunes, Firefox, Norton, etc. What the heck?! I open up task manager and the programs show that they're running, but they're not opening. Has updating Genius mix caused this much problems for anyone else?

I have the new iOS 6.1.2 on my iPad. My wifi connects to my home network but keeps dropping it and won't reconnect. Did not have this problem with previous iOS. Apple, you have a quality assurance issue. Don't be like Microsoft where they send out pieces of junk with testing it.
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Adobe X PDF files converted to jpg, edited and converted back to PDF have ragged, unclear text. I didn't have this problem with Acrobat 9 standard. What is the remedy for this. If this is the best I can expect, I won't be able to use X standard.
I can't imagine any worse workflow than converting to JPEG to edit text, then back to PDF. Text in a PDF is a vector thing, smooth at all resolutions. And JPEG is made for photos. EVERY conversion to JPEG and back loses quality but how much loss there is will vary.
If you must go to an image format, try PNG. -
Hi, recently purchased macbook 13", I have problem with sound when connect to my LG Smart tv with sound system. When i change sounds effect on my sound system also LG its all go quiet didn't have this problem with my laptop. Any advise ?
Some progess I see. To be honest, i would not waste your time with trying to connect using wireless.
You are likely to get poor connections and dropping out.
If its working using a cable, then there is no need to bother with giving me the network settings, bu see how it goes, because sometimes giving the TV a static IP address can give better results.
There is an example of a couple of powerline adapters on the diagram below. Just ignore the network switch unless you want to connect other devices which are near to the TV.

My iphone 3g wont load all comments from online newspaper. when I touch the "load more comments" button the little spinning spiral appears then nothing happens. Anyone else have this problem with some online newspapers?

I have problems saving pdf files in the web when I use Safari. I don't have this problem with firefox.
do they save ok if Safari - Preferences - Security - Allow all other plug-ins is unchecked ?
If so, likely an adobe or other pdf plugin

I have just changed to Firefox from IE. When i pull up my home page which is the BBC.co.uk I have always to reset my local region as it always defaults to London. I didn't have this problem with IE. Can you please supply a solution.
I fixed it!!! Following advice from similar posts, I searched the hard drive for "sessionrestore.js" in my Firefox Profiles folder (you'll need to enable viewing of hidden files in Windows Explorer (Tools > Folder Options > View (then select Hidden files option) then Apply to all folders) to do this). I then shut down Firefox, deleted the file and restarted - my home page was correct and it didn't try to open my old session! Some other posts suggested deleting everything called "sessionrestore" in that folder, but I didn't need to.

Since the recent upgrade from Adobe pdf plug-inn Firefox often won't open pdf-files. Uninstalling doesn't help. I don't have this problem with Internet Explorer.

Most printing issues are solved by resetting the Printing preferences. When you print from Firefox and you click on the down arrow, do you see Defualt and Firefox? Please make changes to the preferences here and preview the document.

Printer print size is very small. Do not have this problem with Internet explorer.
When I try to print something in Firefox, the printer print size is extremely small. I do not have this problem with Internet Explorer.

I have a new IPhone5c and do not receive texts or calls sent from my daughter's phone; I'll call this phone 2. We did not have this problem with my old Envy Touch. Verizon is our provider. Turning off iMessage will allow the messages to go as regular text messages. -
Hi ... Suddenly I have this problem with my iPhone4 . Whenever I am dialling or receiving calls, I am not audible at the other end , but if I am putting phone on speaker then I am audible to other person .Not sure if any setting is changed or device issue. Please suggest or help.

The first thing to try is changing your DNS settings - and for that you need to open System Preferences, then the
Network section.
In Network - click on Advanced - then the DNS tab
under DNS servers - use the + button to enter two extra lines
either these, from google dns
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
or from OpenDNS
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
then click OK & then 'Apply'
You would need to do that seperately for the Cable (Ethernet) settings and Wireless (Airport) -
My iPhone is not synching at iTunes. Every time it says your iPhone as been disconnected whenever I try to synch it, while logo on phone and iTunes says it is still connected. help I have this problem with both my Iphone4 and Iphone5. This problem is with the back up as well.

Hello,
I have no idea what to do. Every time I try to connect, within seconds it disconnects... Because of this, I cant update my apps because they are over 50MB. So most of my apps are frozen...I also have this problem. One additional symptom is that though I can log on momentarily, almost immediately it disconnects me from WiFi, then brings up a "Log In" page with Apple's version of a 404 error. The URL that it appears to be trying to connect to is www.apple.com. Have tried powering down my phone, cycling my modem and router, re-entering my AppleID, forgetting the network and rejoining. Nada. Home network using Airport. This didn't happen while at work where we don't use Airport.
This only happens with my iPhone 4S. My iPad 2 works just fine.
