Display keeps popping up? Anyone know about this or how to fix?

Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation. If manufacturing problem, you'll get a replacement if still within 1 year warranty. If there's any evidence of dropping, you'll have to pay for repairs.
If out of warranty or you dropped it, here's an alternative.

If Demo's suggestions don't help, and the iPad is out of warranty, try giving it a solid smack or two on the back with your knuckles or your palm. Hit where the Apple logo is or just above it, and be firm but not harsh.
Something internal might be a touch loose and a good smack or two may sort things out

Problems with Display/Screen

I have a I-Touch 2G. The content in display not properly rotating from Landscape to Portrait. This cause me a lot of problems with games, music, photos, and many applications. I reset the i-touch two times and still with the same issue. How can I fix it?

Is this a problem with a few specific photos and games or all content?
If its a problem with specific content you may have to sync it to the iPod touch again.
If this is a problem with all content, try to restore the iPod touch as described here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305744
If the restore does not take care of the problem, it may need hardware repair.
Just make a reservation to have a Genius at a local Apple retail store take a look at it or call AppleCare.

Anybody having problems with the resolution of Adobe and Office in retina display?

The programs Office and Adobe are displaying in bad resolution. I bought the retina display to be able to see better, but it seems its the opposite.

Which versions of Office and which Adobe apps and versions are you using?
For Office, you must be using Office 2011 with the latest updates and with Adobe products you must be using CS6 or CC apps.

Trying to install snow leopard on my Macbook Pro. After already having problems with Grey screen, blinking file with a question mark, etc. Computer now says that one of the hard drives is failing.The "hitachi" drive says it's failing in disc utility.

o.k. So, I've been tinkering with several "self help" fixes for several days now with no positive results. I'll explain my initial problems and then end with my most current situation. In hopes that someone out there will have a good suggestion or possibly remedy for the issues i'm facing
First, my problem started after my wife played a game on my macbook pro and the computer froze. She went into a panic and decided to shut down via power button. When computer restarted she got the blinking file/grey screen and that problem continued for a couple of days before I began using steps from various support topics from apple concerning the grey screen/blinking file folder.
Ultimately, yesterday I decided to erase my Macintosh HD file as one tip suggested. Following the brief online and on screen (via the process) tips that were there. Once that was completed I attempted to reinstall snow leopard (my most current version on hand) into the pc.
At first, I thought this would work. It looked promising. But, after several hours the installation screen returned with failure. I attempted to repeat. And, even repair drives during this try and re-try process.
Now, today, one of the drives.. "hitachi..." states that it's failing and is in red letters with no ability to repair via the disc utility screen. The Macintosh HD drive shows that it's o.k. But, this drive is listed under the HItachi drive so I think that's where a problem might lay.
So, I guess my question really revolves around.. What if anything can I do to get the hitachi drive back up? (short of taking it to a repair facility and replacing.)
And, how on earth can i get my OSX back up to I have a laptop again.
Operating on a macbook pro here. It's my lifeline. Otherwise, I am using a Windows desktop that i'm not that fond of. lol

Well, running on a 2006 model. I did not have a startup disc. Initially, it booted up on original software in 2006. Since then, I've upgraded to 10.6 via a box set. And, since then I think I popped it up to lion.
All I have on a disc is snow leopard. And, I can't get farther than the setup screen due to hard drive. I'm taking to a apple authorized repair store right now. We'll see what they tell me . I'm just going to weigh the cost of repair vs. buying new.
Another bad, stupid thing is I had no means of backing up my stuff. So, I might have lost things like music, vids, etc. we'll see if they can recover. If the cost is too much for repair I might just forget it and start over with a new system. Just not sure at this point.

I am having problems with yosemete and pop up ads

Since the new update, I am having a brutal time with an influx of pop up ads, often locking up my computer, is this an issue for others?

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed one of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. It may have come from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
Malware is also found on websites that traffic in pirated content such as video. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates
if it's not already checked.

X3 02 Having problem with display

I tried to download a file from nokia website and all of a sudden my X3 02 is having display problem. it is flickering and very hazy. Can someone help me out.

Do you mean an application from the OVI Store ? If so did you install it after downloading ? Un-install that application in that case and see if the problem goes away..

Having Problems with my Screen Painter

Hi,
I'm new to SAP and I'm still learning. I'm on this part of tutorial wherein I am trying to create a Screen using the Screen Painter. But the problem is, the interface of SAP in the book looks something like this:

But my interface looks different. I'm sorry I can't post the picture here but It can be well described. It looks like a "notepad" with horizontal lines.
Has anyone encountered this kind of screen painter? Hope someone could help me.

Do you receive some error like 'Graphical Layout Editor not available 37527'. Does the problem occurs only for some users or for all the users?
If the issue is for all users, I suggest to check notes 101971 and 204910.
If its for a particular user, please make sure "graphical layout editor" is checked under SE51->munu Utilities/settings->tab ScreenPainter.

Having Problem with Full Screen Videos Appearing with 1" Vertical Borders

I have a MAC running on Leopard and a PC with Windows Vista
Home Basic and Explorer.
I cannot get YouTube to go full screen without the vertical
borders appearing.
I have the current version of Adobe.
I need help on both systems. My Java is enabled and I've
already checked and unchecked Enable Hardware Acceleration.
This is not a Window Box problem. Its happening on all
videos.

This could a RAM case, as when the phone is doing something and RAM goes down, it starts to close certain apps. Personally if all you wanted was a name on txt msg alerts I would recommend iSMS or ThreadSMS. AFAIK both works on on non-touch phones (iSMS was originally for s60v3) and not only do they provide the senders name on the text alert, they also let you view your messages in conversation view (iphone style) and are free...XD

Could my screen be going bad after only four years? output resolution this after was poor no better than a PC jr of the 80's went in and recheck my perferences and they seem all in order. Only thing I can come up with is a video card going bad or screen malfunction. Going to take in to genius bar. I Don't think I have any malware on it. Anybody with any ideas. Need this machine to complete my college courses in photoshop and illustrator. Only have 2 gigs of memory but that has worked fine up till today. Occasionally screen is darken on the edges till I jump into a program or the internet. Thanks for any suggestions Douglaswilliams1@mac .com

I am having problems with the screen freezing for a short time ( a few seconds), what is the problem?

I can be working on any website, game, e-mail, and the screen will freeze for just a few seconds and then it will be ok again.
I don't know what has happened. Could it be my computer, mouse, or ME?

First try the standard troubleshooting steps of quitting the Camera app as described below then resetting your iPad.
Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal.
Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Having problem with display of full name in finder bar!

As shown in the image above, my full name in finder bar is not showing properly. When I select 'icon' from system preferences it shows correctly, but when I select full name or short name, it touches the top.
Help me fixing this issue!

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Boot in safe mode and log in as yourself. First, disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard, mouse, and monitor, if applicable. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
During startup, you will see "Safe Boot" on the login screen, which appears even if you normally log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Safe mode is slower than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including your login items.
Test again. Same problem now?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)

I'm having problems with the screen zooming out, extra large font, to the point of not being able to put in my access code or getting to settings. What is wrong?

My screen chooses to zoom out, out of the blue to the point that I can't access anything. It also does not respond to trying to shrink the screen with my hand motion.

Double tap the screen with three fingers to turn off zoom. If that doesn't work try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own. Then go to settings> general> accessibility> zoom> off.

Anybody having problems with home sharing with iTunes 10.5, iOS 5 and the VZW iPhone 4?

I installed the updated itunes 10.5. Updated my Verizon iPhone 4 to iOS 5. So far so good with one exception.... I can't get home sharing to work properly. I've enabled home sharing (via my Apple ID) on both iTunes and my iPhone. I've disabled, reset and messed with my firewall to no end. But even though home sharing appears enabled, I never get the option to access 'shared' as is supposed to be present when pressing the 'more' selection in the ipod app on the iPhone. It's not there. Also even though sharing is enabled in iTunes, I don't see home sharing in the tree on the left column in iTunes. (It appears briefly when I enable home sharing, but disappears as soon as I acknowledge that I've enabled home sharing) I'm running Windows 7 (32bit) with Norton Security Suite. And my WIFI connection from my phone to my network is present.
Help?

Well after trying all of that a few times, I re-read an Apple document in regards to home sharing problems (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2972). Yep and in their document, did that, did that, did that... hmmm wait a second... I didn't do this and in fact this is the only thing I didn't do.... So I did it and voila`, it worked.
Anyway, I cycled the power on my Linksys E2000 wireless router. That's it. I didn't have to change any settings in the router. Now every time the 'shared' selection is available on my iPhone and it is definitely a sweet feature!
I hope that this solves your problem as well (assuming you haven't already tried it!)
As for iCloud, I don't think the music in the cloud functionality is available yet. I believe that's to arrive at some future (hopefully sooner than later!) date. Not positive though.... it may already be available and I too don't quite know how to use it!

Is anybody having problem with uploading files after Os X 10.9.3 update ?

I can't upload files from my computer or dropbox using interface/online plateform because my files appeared grey/inactive, can't press the "chose" or "open"

After recent SMC+EFI update on Macbook Air (Mid 2013) OSX v10.9.3, my internal audio device disappeared,
I tried everything I could find in google with no luck. (NPRAM+SMC reset, reloading kents etc.)
THIS IS WHAT SOLVED THE PROBLEM FOR ME:
1. I opened /System/Library/Extensions folder, there I found besides the usual AppleHDA.kext, also an AppleHDA.kext.disabled one.
2. I switched between them (swapped their names, sometimes you'll have to do it from the "get info" menu to take effect)
-- if you don't have this AppleHDA.kext.disabled one, try searching for one lil older than yours in the internet
3. then I unloaded and reloaded the kent dir again-
sudo kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext
sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext
And voila!
Hope it helps someone, as I spent hours until getting this to work again
