Anybody having trouble with Facebook? (3.6.24 on Ubuntu on a Dell with 1000 ram)

Using Firefox 3.6.24 on Ubuntu on a Dell with 1000 ram. Chat does not open (continuously loads and loads); cannot scroll past about 30 or so posts - when I hit "more stories" at the bottom, page reloads to the top; have done everything I can find in Help there and Help here.

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the disk image (dmg) file to the desktop

*Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
*Install the new version that you have downloaded
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data if you uninstall and (re)install Firefox.

The good (?) news is many people are have OS 6.0.1 wifi problems.
I could not connect to my home network. What eventually worked for me (twice now), though it makes no sense, is to go to the particular connection you want to use, hit the little blue arrow on the right to get the details screen. Scroll down to the bottom and change "HTTP Proxy" from "None" to "Auto". Then leave the "URL" field that pops up blank.
This should not work. However, it has for me where many other suggestions have not.

Anybody having trouble seeing iPhone using Windows 8?

Just got a new computer with Windows 8 - it doesn't see my iPhone. Anybody having trouble like this? McAffee was preloaded...does this conflict with iPhones?

While anti-virus software can have some affect on the iPhone, normally it does not. A number of individuals have written regarding having trouble with Windows 8 computers "seeing" the iPhone. Of course, it depends on what you are doing. What are you trying to do for the computer to "see" the phone? Is it not being connected in iTunes? Are you trying to import photos? The only time Windows Explorer "sees" the phone is when there are photos in the Camera Roll. Any other time, you cannot connect to the phone to see anything else.

It will not install your machine is close to 7 years old and the newest Flash Player will not install on that old of an Operating System.
If you have flash on there already then thats probably the best your going to get.
You can Google and see what is the latest version for your Operating System.

Thanks for your email. I was able to download and install this morning without any problems. I uninstalled the old version yesterday and restarted my computer but still got errors. However when I turned off last night, windows ran updates and that must of fixed the problem. I also got rid of firefox and put of google chrome. All to use Australia Posts click and send which wouldn't work because of an error with the plugin. Thanks for your very quick reply, I appreciate your help. Have a great day. Anybody Having Trouble Paying ATT Bills With Safari?

I have not been able to pay my online ATT account for over a month using Safari, on the phone or on my MacBook. I was finally able to do it using Firefox.
Basically Safari will not let me advance beyond step 1 of the payment procedure. FLew through with Firefox.
Way to go Apple, not even compatible with your partner so I can pay to use your technology. Isn't it ironic?

As a matter of fact, my system checks out perfectly. Odd that it wouldn't work on both my iPhone, NOR my desktop, yet it worked flawlessly with Firefox. Guess FIrefox is just better at overcoming system glitches that Apple's own diagnostics are capable of reporting. Also odd that it is ONLY with ATT's site. I pay dozens of bills online every month and ONLY ATT has a problem.
Don't know anything about ATT's App for the iPhone. Haven't heard one word about it from either ATT nor Apple. But I'll give it a try. May have to if I can't figure out what the problem is ...
But thanks for confirming that your Safari browser works just fine. Just means more troubleshooting on my Mac than I have time for to work the way it should, or at least as good as Firefox already does.

1. Open the control panel
2. Open Add/Remove programs (called "Programs and Features" in Windows 7)
3. Navigate to "Apple Software Update" in the list and click on it
4. Click on "Change" then select "Repair" (or just select the repair option in Windows 7)
Once you repair this, try running iTunes and the update again.

With itunes 11, when printing playlists, all songs are printing on top of another. anybody else get this?

Yes I cannot print songs from my playlist. This problem has never happened before mind you I went out and purchased a new printer without checking other sites. I can print perfect on any other page except the Jewel Case playlist.

I just set up my Airport network at home (Airport Extreme base station, external hard drive plugged into the USB port, iMac G5 plugged into one of the Ethernet ports) and have run into a peculiar problem. When working on my iMac (connected vie ethernet) I open an Adobe InDesign CS2 document from the USB network drive. After a minute or so InDesign tells me something has gone wrong and it is shutting down. I immediately re-launch InDesign and it does its auto-recovery and immediately shuts down again. If I re-launch again and it asks if I want to begin auto recovery it immediately shuts down again. Only by telling it "no" to auto revoery can I break the cycle and let InDesign launch normally. However, if I then go to the file I was working on and attempt to open it, InDesign shuts down. I know that InDesign creates a temporary Lock file when you open a document. My guess is that somehow the lock file is getting corrupted and preventing InDesign from opening this file. InDesign documents are the only file types thus affected, Illustrator and Photoshop are fine. I have a second hard drive connected via Firewire and have never had any problems with files from it. My question is, what would be causing the problem on my network drive connectd to the base station? Am I the only one out there with this problem?

After update to iOS 6.1.3 I received update to accu weather and temple run 2. Now both of these apps are not responding. Anyone else having the same problem?

Mail app crashed after update. Went by apple store and they determined it was my gmail account. Deleted gmail and now mail works. Also had to delete my work gmail on the exchange server. Exchange works now but I still can't use my personal gmail.

All QT is not working and won't even launch on vista.

I just put QT on a vista machine that had not had it before. Worked OK at first then when launched again shut down with a Data Execution Prevention error. Tried turning off DEP for QT but vista would not let me do it. Will run if started by "Run as Administrator". However if you set Run as Administrator" under Compatibility then it wont run - says it must have windows 2000 or later

It's been a month since I ran Disk Utility - it was fine then. Yesterday and today I ran it again and it doesn't make any permission changes.
What used to take several minutes was over in less than 30 seconds with no permission changes.
