By a timestamp object you mean an instance of the class java.sql.Timestamp, right? Then the following will give you the nanoseconds:
long nanos = stamp.getTime()*1000000 + stamp.getNanos();

Does anybody know why my film says the file size is only 96kb?

Does anybody know why my film says the file size is only 96kb (when right clicking on my mac and selecting get info) surely it should be in megabytes its a 50 second film with a few effects on it. Have i maybe clicked on something and changed it all - i moved it to the trash accidentally and then moved it back to my desktop could this be something to do with it?

So, just to confirm, when you double-click on the 96kb file, it opens and plays your video?
If you accidentally created a shortcut ("Alias" in Mac terms) it would likely be larger than 96kb but to check, does the icon have a tiny black arrow in the lower left corner? When you right-click or CTRL-click on the icon to bring up the menu, is there an option near the top to "Show Original"?
If you have another hard drive avaialble, try copying the file to that and re-confirm file size.

Does anybody know of a product that caches files in IIS?

We currently have the bulk of the static support files for our portal (.js, .gif, .jpg, .css, .html, etc) in the application .ear file. We'd like to move these files into IIS, since we frontend our cluster with IIS with the BEA WL Proxy plug-in, but due to time constraints are unable to for at least a 1 quarter potentially longer. That being said, does anybody know of a web proxy cache product (like Squid on Linux) which works with IIS that could cache these files at the IIS layer so the requests for these static support files did not have to go all the way to the portal servers?

Anybody knows a good debugger?

I am looking for a debugger to debug an applet. The applet is downloaded from a webserver(IIS) that run on the local machine. The files downloaded are a .jar file containing the applet and a number of other classes, and some .class files doenloaded on demand by Class.forName(str);. The .java source files are stored locally on disk. The applet is run in IE6 and Netscape6. A debugger for debugging the applet in appletviewer is naturally of no help. The debugger must be easy to use to make it easy and fast for me to get started. Anybody knows a tool like the one I am describing?

Well, forte has an applet debugger that works with appletviewer. Can you configure it to debug an applet that is running in IE or Netscape as well? I didn't figure out how to do that! Is it possible at all?

One like This is nice because it exhausts hot air, rather than just mixing it around inside the case.
When installed next to an AGP card, it helps pull heat off the card and quickly expels it.
Just stirring air around can disrupt the airflow of the case.
A dual fan PCI slot cooler like This has both exhaust and a movable fan for increasing spot cooling.

Programs for converting avi to mp4/h.264

As the title says. I'm looking for a really good program for this, i want really good video quality, and it doesn't matter if the program is for free or if u need to buy it. I'm a windows user.

As I understand it, AVI is a somewhat lower quality to begin with. That said, you can use Quicktime Pro to convert to your specified format. Quicktime Player for Windows is free; the QT Pro upgrade will be required to output to mp4/h.264.

In the "free" category I would recommend:
MoviesForMyPod -- simple non-muxed QT file conversions
iSquint -- handles AVI and MPEG1 formats in addition to non-muxed QT file conversions
MPEG StreamClip -- Muxed (MPEG1, MPEG2, VOB), as well as normal QT file types and includes limited but nice editing features. 2-pass H.264 mode is a bit loose but I would recommend it for any experienced user
HandBrake -- already recommended by previous responder, this application is limited to DVDs, DVD images, and VIDEO_TS (VOB) files and has a few minor "bugs" which may catch the careless user off guard, but is generally a quite functional program.

as of 20 minutes ago, c u c u s o f t ipod video converter stoped working for me... it wont convert audio with the video... wont even read audio(i instaled the codec pack so that i could convert a file that wouldnt read on my computer...)
i have used videora, c u c u s o f t, TONS but i cant afford to buy the full software, so im looking for a FREE, program that will not leave a nasty watermark or glitch the video files... if anyone can help, that would be GREAT:D
P.S. i have used itunes and get no video... i know about the tv out settings or whatever and thats not the case... so i will not be using itunes... sorry anyways ADVICE IS GREATLY APRECIATED
