When syncing my old 1st generation shuffle, itunes would select a subset of my music library. Now all I get is a not enough space message. As usual, Apple Help is of no help. ThanksI solved my problem by restoring the shuffle to factory settings on the summary screen. Now it seems to work the way it's supposed to. Many thanks to Apple for zero help, as usual. Apple should direct less resources to developing the next snazzy ipad and more to cleaning up and enhancing itunes. Im having problem getting my calendar out from trash(not deleted) to where this belong to dock below the screen accidently click when im using apps cleaner,i try to swipe my application from trash bin to dock station but keep bounce back to bin,i check on help site said simply open trash bin select the application you want to save,go to top screen see finder then go to file and click say PUT BACK but main issue is that words are grey out ,im on mountain lion version 10.8.4 at the moment for now i can only use calender by swipe from trash bin to desktop its only i can open than click main dock of calender will say unable to open because it in the trash so can anybody know how to get this out in any way,i dont like to have two icons of calendar on desktop and dock station....i be happy can somebody give advice.......regards

Hello,
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

I'm try to get a receipt of an inapp purchase and mobages instructions don't seem to apply for people using iPads. Anybody know how to get a receipt?
Receipts for any purchase, even in-app purchases or free downloads, are sent automatically to the email address associated with your Apple ID. If you deleted the email or didn't get such a receipt and it's been more than two-three days, then you will have to go to your Purchase History, and that is only possible on a computer, so you'll need to use a friends or perhaps get help at an Apple Store.
Otherwise you'll have to contact the iTunes Store and ask if they can resend the receipt. Go here:

The Mini DisplayPort to HDMI doesn't carry audio unless you have the Mid 2010 model 7,1 and there're no audio plugs on most TVs to work with HDMI since it's expecting audio with the HDMI. But check your TV manual to see if it has audio plugs that work with one of the HDMI ports.
If you have the Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody or Late 2009 model 6,1 White Unibody with the Mini DisplayPort rather than the Mini-DVI there is an adapter that uses the Mini DisplayPort and a USB port to combine video and audio to HDMI. It's only 2 channel stereo not 5.1 Dolby Surround.

The Mini-DVI port doen't carry audio at all. The Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody and the Late 2009 model 6,1 and Mid 2010 model 7,1 White Unibody have a Mini DisplayPort. The Early 2006 model 1,1 through Early 2008 model 4,1s plus the Early and Mid 2009 model 5,2s have Mini-DVI ports.
To see which model you have go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info (and then System Report if you’re running 10.7 Lion or 10.8 Mountain Lion). When System Profiler comes up check the Model Identifier and post it back here. -

I just clicked the link to see if the site came up, which it clearly did. As far as Google Translate you can try to use it once you get the site to read. Because I do not read Chinese I have no idea if the site has a translator built in. You will need to contact the webmaster of the site to find that out or work with a translator.
I think before you worry about translating it you need to get access to the site first. Then you can work on the translation.

Acrobat 7 Std. is a very old software and has not been tested and is incompatible with Windows 8.
Please consider purchasing the subscription to the latest version of Acrobat 11.

I began to purchase songs off iTunes, a prompt message appears whether you want to buy the song after the first click... I ticked the box to say I didn't want this warning again... But now I wish I had that - Anybody know how to get that warning/prompt message back???
Sign-in to your iTunes Store account (Store menu > View my account).
At the bottom of the Account Information page is a Reset box to click to reset all warnings for buying and downloading. Click the "Done" button when you're finished. -

0 B Page-outsFollow these instructions to uninstall MacKeeper. They have been tested with the most recent version of MacKeeper. Earlier versions than the one released in 2012 require more extensive work to uninstall all its components. Never install such junk on a Mac.
If you actually used MacKeeper to alter your system, e.g. "remove excess binaries" or such, you will need to reinstall OS X as well as all your additional software. Uninstalling MacKeeper is insufficient to reverse the corruption it is capable of - once again, that is if you used it.
If you merely installed MacKeeper but did not use it to perform any particular action, the following instructions will suffice.
If you used MacKeeper to encrypt any files or folders, use MacKeeper to un-encrypt them first.
Quit the MacKeeper app if it is running.
Open your Applications folder: Using the Finder's Go menu, select Applications.
Drag the MacKeeper icon from your Applications folder (not the Dock) to the Trash.
You will be asked to authenticate (twice):
You do not need to provide a reason for uninstalling it:
Just click the Uninstall MacKeeper button. You will be asked to authenticate again.
After it uninstalls you may empty the Trash and restart your Mac. All that will remain is an inert log file that does nothing but occupy space on your hard disk.
May I suggest that you review the following setting in System Preferences?
Although you may easily override that setting, it will serve to protect you from inadvertently installing garbage. The overwhelming majority of Macs I come across have the MacKeeper installer file already present in their Downloads folder, often multiple copies of it. The downloaded file itself can do nothing until it is opened and installed, and the above setting (known as Gatekeeper - not to be confused with MacKeeper) will prevent that from occurring.

Never install any product that claims to "speed up", "clean up", "optimize", or "accelerate" your Mac. Without exception, they will do the opposite.
Never install pirated or "cracked" software, software obtained from dubious websites, or other questionable sources. Illegally obtained software is almost certain to contain malware.
Don’t supply your password in response to a popup window requesting it, unless you know what it is and the reason your credentials are required.
Don’t open email attachments from email addresses that you do not recognize, or click links contained in an email:
Most of these are scams that direct you to fraudulent sites that attempt to convince you to disclose personal information.
Such "phishing" attempts are the 21st century equivalent of a social exploit that has existed since the dawn of civilization. Don’t fall for it.
Apple will never ask you to reveal personal information in an email. If you receive an unexpected email from Apple saying your account will be closed unless you take immediate action, just ignore it. If your iTunes or App Store account becomes disabled for valid reasons, you will know when you try to buy something or log in to this support site, and are unable to.
Don’t install browser extensions unless you understand their purpose. Go to the Safari menu > Preferences > Extensions. If you see any extensions that you do not recognize or understand, simply click the Uninstall button and they will be gone.
Don’t install Java unless you are certain that you need it:
Java, a non-Apple product, is a potential vector for malware. If you are required to use Java, be mindful of that possibility.
Java can be disabled in System Preferences.
Despite its name JavaScript is unrelated to Java. No malware can infect your Mac through JavaScript. It’s OK to leave it enabled.
Block browser popups: Safari menu > Preferences > Security > and check "Block popup windows":
Popup windows are useful and required for some websites, but popups have devolved to become a common means to deliver targeted advertising that you probably do not want.
Popups themselves cannot infect your Mac, but many contain resource-hungry code that will slow down Internet browsing.
If you ever see a popup indicating it detected registry errors, that your Mac is infected with some ick, or that you won some prize, it is 100% fraudulent. Ignore it.
Ignore hyperventilating popular media outlets that thrive by promoting fear and discord with entertainment products arrogantly presented as "news". Learn what real threats actually exist and how to arm yourself against them:
The most serious threat to your data security is phishing. To date, most of these attempts have been pathetic and are easily recognized, but that is likely to change in the future as criminals become more clever.
OS X viruses do not exist, but intentionally malicious or poorly written code, created by either nefarious or inept individuals, is nothing new.
Never install something without first knowing what it is, what it does, how it works, and how to get rid of it when you don’t want it any more.
If you elect to use "anti-virus" software, familiarize yourself with its limitations and potential to cause adverse effects, and apply the principle immediately preceding this one.
Most such utilities will only slow down and destabilize your Mac while they look for viruses that do not exist, conveying no benefit whatsoever - other than to make you "feel good" about security, when you should actually be exercising sound judgment, derived from accurate knowledge, based on verifiable facts.
Do install updates from Apple as they become available. No one knows more about Macs and how to protect them than the company that builds them.
Summary: Use common sense and caution when you use your Mac, just like you would in any social context. There is no product, utility, or magic talisman that can protect you from all the evils of mankind. -

My dad has itunes on his PC. I don't have my own but I recently have an iPad mini and an iPod. I don't know how to get songs onto itunes on the PC, using a different account or at least private/ separate..
So how do I create a separate I tunes on a PC which already has itunes... Or if not can I plug my iPad to the PC and use itunes on my iPad, and drag mp3s from a computer.
I'm not sure what the equivalent of a desktop is on the iPad.. And I don't actually know how to use the icloud either...

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar
To import music into your iTunes library on the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Add items to iTunes and follow the instructions
To sync to your iPod go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device and follow the instructions. -
