Anybody recommend a home page option? Yahoo just ruined my experience.

Looking for a customizable home page. Yahoo's standard web page worked great till today when they jammed a new design for iPad users. It's terrible.

Also, the new My Yahoo doesn't seem to hold my stored login inforrmation when I restart Safari?
And, on the new My Yahoo interface, there seems to be no way to change colors/themes. Mine came with blue text on a purple background, not very easy to read.
Do those Yahoo morons ever use their own products?

Firefox reports my home page (my.yahoo) is blacklisted and will not display it.

I can not view my home page (my.yahoo.com) because it apparently has been blacklisted. This can't be right, how do I fix that?

Try stopping Safari followed by resetting your phone: double-tap the home button, locate Safari at the bottom (swiping if necessary), tap and hold until it wiggles, tap the minus sign. Now reset: hold the on/off and home buttons until you see the Apple logo (ignore the off slider that appers first), then release. If it still is missing you may need to restore your phone, which will put a fresh copy of the iOS on your phone (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414).

When I launch firefox 3.6.8 2 tabs open for my home page instead of just one.

Just installed 3.6.8. At launch 2 tabs are opened, both for my home page. I have closed out several times and relaunched but each time 2 tabs are opening.
Just looked at the plug-ins listed below and have no idea why I would have a plug-in for Netscape Navigator - haven't used that in years and years and never on this computer. Also some of the others are not recognized. Doubt tho whether any of this applies to my current question.

How do I get rid of the 'buump.me' home page? It just keeps coming back.

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 OS and my firefox web browser is compromised with this 'buump.me' home page which I can't get rid of. I've been into the cache, deleted all my cookies, manually changed the home page and the backup home page in the preferences folder. Still keeps coming back. Where is this nasty bit of code lurking in my machine and how can I get rid of it?

I tried this and lost all my bookmarks and stuff! But found them in a backup file.
I've solved the problem by creating a new firefox profile and importing my settings and bookmarks from the old one (carefully, so as not to import the virus as well)
Now the old profile has the virus and the new profile is just fine.
I could just delete the old profile... but I'd love to find out exactly where this buump.me bug is lurking, so maybe I'll keep the old profile for a while and see if I can find half a day or night free for detective work.

How do I restore Firefox/Google home page without Yahoo?

In an attempt to delete Yahoo, my Home Page which features Google changed entirely and still shows Yahoo with all its add ons. Also now when closing a link page Mozilla shuts down and I have to start all over again.

hello Vidabg, you can't restore this old homepage. it wasn't maintained after firefox 4, but it was still hosted by google for the time the search contract between google and mozilla was in place, which is now no longer the case. the new default homepage that firefox uses now is '''about:home'''.

I tried to update my home page with yahoo through a download with msi explorer ver. 8 and now Mozilla can't bring up a homepage. Did I download something wrong? I' m a novice.

I tried to download the free IE version 9 available with yahoo as my home page(because it's easier for me to use.) It said my computer won't except that version but will take the Micro soft version 8, so I downloaded it that way. Now the home page won't load because it read yahoo.com/http abd Mozilla doesn't recognize this as a proper site.. I deleted the file in my computer but still can't open my home page now.I think Mozilla already updated itself and now I see I need to renew my macafee security as well.

You're right about IE9: it requires Vista or Windows 7. IE8 is the latest IE for Windows XP.
Usually updating IE has no effect on Firefox, so I'm not sure what happened there. I assume you got an official download directly from Microsoft, but if not, perhaps it was customized by someone else? (I don't really trust unofficial versions.)

I am trying to access the multiple home page option in 4.01 (XP). The page at Tools/Options/General does not offer any Home Page optons. How can I do this? Thank you.

I've installed Firefox 4.01. It offer the option to have multiple pages on startup, but the direction to set this found in Firefox Help take me to a that that offers no home page setting option. In this new version in fact, I can find no place to set my home page.

How to save layout of home page with Yahoo.ca

When I launch Firefox '''4.0''' using''' Yahoo.ca''' as my home page. I adjust it to "compact view, ctrl ++ etc to enlarge the font. Then "save page as" command. When I re-launch Firefox again, none of my changes I thought I saved are evident..back to the initial settings.

If you use Ctrl + left-click or middle-click a link then the link should open in a new tab.

I received a update yesterday and from then on I can't get the "home" page of Firefox, just a mostly blank sheet with "done" at the bottom??

Nothing else will load when I'm on Firefox, Yahoo nothing just the white page.

did that solve the issue? i still believe it has more likely to do something with faulty cache (maybe the restart of the browser really triggered it );
if it was an issue with dns prefetching it would be rather strage since you already were on the domain instructables.com & wouldn't have had to resolve the domain for the subsites again. and since the server, your isp or your local hardware might not support ipv6 fully yet, it can always cause some glitches too...

My computer is not accepting Mozilla firefox as my chosen default program any more so when I click on start menu or on the icon on my desktop I get blank then goes to my home page for Yahoo email?

I've tried to restore Mozilla as my default webb browser but it wont accept my choice, very confusing. It goes to a blank screen then my yahoo mail and when I want to brose the webb and then close down the start menu will only show if I use the control and escape buttons on my keyboard. Please help me anyone!

Firefox 23.0.1 ignores about:blank , either in awesome bar/address bar, and even in home page option.

exactly this behaviour:
step 1: on a page e.g. [ http://www.google.com/ ]
step 2: enter [ about:blank ] in address bar and press [ return ] or [ go ]
step 3: ... NO reaction / nothing happens, the Google-page stays on screen!

After clicking on hyperlinks on the home pages of Yahoo, NY Times, and other websites, the browser will not go back to a page before the current one either by clicking on the go back icon or via the backspace.

In a PL/SQL Expression condition you can use: if :F119_THIS_PAGE_ID <> :APP_PAGE_ID but in a PL/SQL stored procedure you have to use: if v('F119_THIS_PAGE_ID') <> v('APP_PAGE_ID') .
2.How to set a condition for computation#2 that it should only fire if F119_THIS_PAGE_ID <> :APP_PAGE_ID. I tried expression 1 <> expression 2, current page <> expression 1 but nothing seems to be working
Condition type: PL/SQL Expression as shown above should work.
3. Lastly, is this the best or the only way of doing something like this, any suggestions ?
Looks ok to me. Sometimes javascript:window.history.go(-1) can be useful.
